Review 1：You can keep the larger hotels when there are jewels like the Waldmuhle in the world. This little gem has charm, character and hospitality at its very best. It is a family run hotel and the charming owner, Frau Beissert, made us so very welcome. The Hotel-Pension Waldmuhle is spotlessly clean, the large and very comfortable rooms have all the facilities you could ever need. Loved the Jacobs Coffee in the room, a nice surprise because haven't had tea/coffee making facility in a German hotel before. Fabulous ensuite bathroom with hairdryer, shower gel and handwash supplied. There was even a little sewing kit and shoe shine pad too. Everything is geared to making your stay a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. The buffet brealfast is first class, so much choice and all very fresh and delicious. If we had stayed longer we might just have sampled all there was on offer but don't think our waistlines would have coped. The location is lovely, right on the River Bohme and on the opposite bank to the watermill which is now the town library. The garden and two terraces overlook the water wheel and river. A quiet place to stay, even with the rushing water of the river that can only be heard when you are outside. Only a very short walk from the town centre. Our first stay at this lovely hotel and it certainly won't be the last. We can highly recommend the wonderful Waldmuhle at Soltau.

Review 6：Nice rooms, very cozy atmosphere. The hostess is really nice and makes you feel like you're at home. The room where breakfast was served was especially cute. The area around is also beautiful.

Review 7：The beds were not the best, supposedly it should be a queen size bed, however it was made out of two single beds put together, so the gap was disturbing us a lot, and we had to sleep on separate mattresses for the sake of comfort. Besides, the mattress es were not hard and instead your body sinks deep while sleeping, which for us was not very comfortable. Finally, the mini-bar did not have any snacks, but some wine, water, and juice.

Review 8：We mostly liked the location of the hotel, which was super close to the thermal baths (around 80 meters), and quiet close to Heide park. The breakfast was delicious and quiet fresh. The staff were very kind, and were ready to offer there help an advise at all times. Not to mention, the place is very clean.

Review 10：Vera and Bernd are delightful hosts. The pension is fantastic and is set along side the flowing stream and old water mill. There is a deck overlooking the mill where you can relax and enjoy the sounds and sights. The gardens are lovely and available to all guests. The room was impeccably clean with crisp white linens, a spotless bathroom that glistened, and we even had a mini refrigerator. When you are there, make sure to take the time to go soak in the thermes. It was rejuvinating. The breakfast was amazing! You couldn't ask for more. We felt like this was one of those sweet finds that Rick Steves talks about. Truly a gem of town, pension and hosts. In fact, we liked it so much that we booked another night on our way back to Frankfurt airport before we head home.

Review 19：The valuation of these Hotel (around 9.0 when I staid) couldn't be real as the Hotel it's old, little bit dirty and the position is over a river and you cannot sleep for the coninuos noise of the water. Breakfast it's so and so, but little bit better respect other services.

Review 21：Very nice hotel with extremely nice hosts. Yummy breakfast with big choice for every taste, spacious room with two double beds suits pertectly for a family with children. We were very happy to have chosen this hotel in Zoltau. The host even took us to Heide Park by his own car when we told him that we are planning to reach it by foot :) Highly recommended!!!!

Review 22：The booking was changed without notice from a family-room to 2 separate rooms. We idn´t like that at all, and would have cancelled the reservation if informed before arrival !!! The rooms wasn´t even next to each other, but on separate floors - so we was not happy at all. Also the internet did not work at all during our whole stay ! I will never return to this pension !

Review 23：Ideal place to stay while in transit or visiting locations like Heide Park. This pension is located some 200m away from famous Soltau Therme offering salt-water pool (indoor/outdoor) - a great place to relax and heal. Clean, cosy rooms. Excellent breakfast and outstanding service delivered by owners. Full recommendation!
