Reviews for Gran Hotel Don Manuel Atiram Hotels

Review 1:Good value (but probably because January). Excellent accommodation very close to Plaza Mayor. Evening meal in bar area nothing special but reasonable price.

Review 2:Having to pay for fast WiFi. Should be standard for each room.

Review 3:Apartment -washing machine, dish washer. Great facilities, indoor pool, ease of location -travel across the region. Friendly staff.

Review 4:The staff were nice and very helpful. The hotel was situated right in the heart of the town, just a few minutes' walking from the old town center, very close to Plaza Mayor.

Review 5:The Hotel is located right next to the Plaza Major and the old town, so all the important attractions are within walking distance. The Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room comfortable and clean.

Review 6:There were no tea/coffee facilities. The a/c would not expelcold air only hot as reception said 'winter'. However 25c is nota winter temperature. The window opened onto noisy side street withshouting till 4am. Staff at reception did not speak English or did notwant to speak English. Absolutely disgusting for international hotel. Noswimming pool, spar not open until 5pm and charge 15 euro to use asplash pool! Very disapointed.

Review 7:The junior suite was modern and very spacious

Review 8:Price for parking and breakfast was a bit steep

Review 9:Location is two minutes walking from plaza mayor. The staff were professional, helpful, friendly and smiled a lot. What a wonderful change from Ávila.

Review 10:Shower not high enough and nos possible to regulate

Review 11:Great location. Outside the old tow - so easy to get there and park - but only few minutes walking distance. Everything very new and perfectly clean

Review 12:Dirty rooms; bed was hard; breakfast wasn't that fresh; my colleagues door lock wasn't working and needed to be "repaired" over 3 times.

Review 13:Good location, parking hall was great as there's not really space for parking in the old town. Heating system in the rooms was good to have as the weather was a bit chilly in November.

Review 14:While the buffet breakfast had plenty of options, I'm not quite sure why - but I found it mediocre. Shouldn't have been - you can get eggs cooked to order, fruit, pastries, meats, etc. Probably just tired of that type of meal.

Review 15:Our second stay at this hotel. The location is minutes from Plaza Mayor, the old town and a lot of attractions. Comfortable, modern, fresh with a nice little spa. We were so happy to be back in the same place after four years. The staff are excellent, friendly and multi-lingual. We will stay again!

Review 16:Lovely Hotel located a couple of mins stroll into the centre of town , Staff very efficient The car parking was very secure right undneath the Hotel Rooms very very spacious and clean , all in all a good Hotel and we would return if in the area again

Review 17:realy good modern hotel suitable for a short stay, underground car parking, and really close to the old town. Really good breakfast. Sat nav to find it is invaluable!

Review 18:Very Spartan facilities and assessories, or no iron, tea/ coffee in room , basic bathroom soaps, shampoos, etc only 2 English channels - poor TV service, no separate bar or lounge area

Review 19:Good friendly staff

Review 20:Excellent location, with attached parking (reason for not choosing Parador). Room very comfortable, staff very helpful. Location adjacent to medieval town was excellent.

Review 21:Ate in the restaurant one night and it was very dissapointing food with average service. Whole hotel experience was rather soulless.

Review 22:Great central location once we found it and good, easy to access, secure parking. Clean room and helpfull staff.

Review 23:Breakfast was okay box standard.

Review 24:Good parking. Spacious bedroom and good bed and pillows. Very close to the old town of Caceres which is wonderful especially at night. Very atmospheric.

Review 25:nothing

Review 26:The hotel suited our needs to be in a good easy to get to l9ocation near food and secure parking. We were on our way to catch a ferry and not really site seeing although the location was good for this as it was centrally located

Review 27:Speaking English was a problem. I finally used my phone to ask where to park the car--free for guests. They tried. But, the front desk spoke Spanish almost exclusively.

Review 28:Outside the hotel is a courtyard filled with families. Everywhere you turn, you see Roman ruins, even utilized as part of the hotel wall. And, a block away was one of the best meals we ate in Spain. Merida contains the largest Roman ruins in Spain.

Review 29:The decor was modern and stylish. Fantastic food (we ate from the tapas menu) and very attentive and friendly staff. I loved this hotel. Bedrooms were very luxurious. It was very reasonably priced for such a good hotel.

Review 30:The bathroom was a complete joke. The design is ridiculous at best, such a waste of resources! The breakfast is expensive and only average at best.

Review 31:Clean sheets and space.

Review 32:I was really pleased with our stay. The staff was really helpful and friendly - especially in the reception. The location was really wonderful enormously close to the old city center with all its charm. Really nice room as well.

Review 33:Room temperature cannot be adjusted; too warm. Breakfast was unremarkable despite the seemingly large selection.

Review 34:Perfect location to explore old town. Convenient underground parking with direct lift access. Helpful front desk staff.

Review 35:Staff never in the helpping mood. And sometimes they police what you eat. Room temperature is too hot because of the heated floor that you can't turn off Poor breakfast Uncosy ambient

Review 36:Location

Review 37:The hotel is located within easy walking distance to historical center, restaurants, shops, but you will need GPS to find it if you are driving. You can safely park on the nearby streets to avoid the $15 underground parking fee. The staff are very friendly, helpful.

Review 38:- it is more a 3 than 4 stars hotel - quite old room (furniture and bathroom) - paid parking (although there are free-parking options nearby) - you can tell it has been a great 4 stars hotel in the past but needs some renovations

Review 39:- location (walking distance to the city center and historical area) - very friendly staff (lobby and restaurant)

Review 40:WiFi should work better in a 4 star hotel

Review 41:Perfect location for a visit to Caceres, which is a beautiful city. Good breakfast and good quality overall. Staff very helpful and friendly

Review 42:However, the big No-No was the lack of good quality Wi-Fi in the rooms. After finally finding it in the corridor, it worked for a while in the room but the strength was so low it kept dropping out with the message,”Maximum number of users for this Hot Spot has been reached” please, for a 4* hotel? When we mentioned it to the receptionist he had no real answers but did inform us that we were lucky we weren’t in a couple of the rooms on the third floor because they don’t get internet at all. Would we stay here again – there are plenty of hotels in the area and we would definitely not stay for the price plus car park plus breakfast.

Review 43:Easy to find – with a sat.nav. and the car park underneath the hotel very accommodating we paid the €12.5/day- there isn’t really an option. The receptionist was cheerful and helpful. This is an hotel which gives your legs a chance to un-wind after a long drive - our room 234 was a fair trek from the reception. The lift system is not quite straightforward, using different lifts for the car park, the hotel rooms and then again another one outside to get to the old town centre. Having said that, the system works well. The room itself was large and well equipped with plenty of power sockets and the lighting was extremely good with plenty of mirrors it did though lack a little on storage space if you are spending more than a couple of days here. The TV was traditionally Spanish with all Spanish programmes but we did find several other language news only programmes. The air con was excellent and we ended up opening the balcony window to cool it down slightly. The beds were exceptionally comfortable even though they were two large singles instead of one double. The bathroom was of a contemporary style, spacious, light, with plenty of hot water, a good shower and useful heated towel rail. Thank you too for putting in an enlarging mirror – a bonus. Strangely there was only one waste bin in the bathroom with none in the lounge area. The breakfast was very good but at 12.50 euros per person it was expensive, especially when the local cafes within a five minute walk offer breakfasts from 3.50 euros plus. But it is a good hotel and the staff are excellent.

Review 44:Dirty bathroom. Very loud. Really. Good breakfast but be carefull with fruits...

Review 45:Spacy. Modern. Comfortable room and bed. Good localization. Parking.

Review 46:Exit lights over the door the shine all night - I suspect this is a legal requirement in Spain

Review 47:This is a nice modern hotel with friendly staff and easy access to the town centre. The decor is contemporary and fresh. There is parking available.

Review 48:Really slow service at the restaurant. We didn't go out and decided to have a quick meal, so we had dinner at the restaurant. It took us nearly 2 hours for a 3 course meal with waiting time of over 30 mins between each course. And there were really few customers... very disappointing.

Review 49:Nit-picking perhaps but couldn't log on to the wi-fi at 22.00hrs because the maximum number of users had been reached.

Review 50:Comfortable modern hotel with spacious rooms very close to the old town of Caceres. The restaurant has an excellent menu rustica at 13.50 euros per head. Our bill came to 120 euros for the night including dinner and wine which was brilliant value

Review 51:At breakfast the only yogurt was the pink and yellow stuff with added dangerous chemicals. Worse was that the fresh fruit could only be reached by dragging clothing over the croissanterie etc. Especially difficult for the tiny French and Spanish guests! Needs sorting urgently. Otherwise breakfast good.

Review 52:Great location, easy walking distance to historic centre, and easy to find by car. Parking excellent. Good size bedrooms, quiet and restful.

Review 53:Uncomfortable bolster-type pillow - why do Spanish hotels persist in using these? Feels like a business hotel rather than especially welcoming. "Clinical" is the word to describe it.

Review 54:Large bedroom, comfortable bed, good breakfast. Very clean and quiet. Good shower. Hotel doesn´t seem to have a proper frontage - it´s a bit tucked away - but only a few minutes´walk into the centre of town.

Review 55:Rather off the beaten track Very few people using the facilities such as the cafeteria or restaurant, so lacking in 'ambience'

Review 56:Lovely room with large lounge area Helpful staff Very clean Modern facilities Convenient car parking

Review 57:Can't think of anything.

Review 58:Well situated-close to the plaza but away from potential disruption to a good night's sleep. Friendly staff. Easy parking on the street should you choose not to pay. Modern and very clean. Thick towels. Wifi throughout. Decent signal. What's not to like?

Review 59:It feels very much like a business hotel, which is strange as they appears to be little major commerce in the town, except tourism. There is no gym or pool. The wifi cut out overnight, obviously that may be a one-off. The breakfast buffet was adequate but unimaginative, although after we had finished we noticed that the menu did say they would cook something special if requested. The whole area immediately around the hotel is very sterile and quiet; clean, new and seemingly uninhabited!

Review 60:The hotel is clean, large and excellently positioned for a very short walk across into the main square and the Old Town. The rooms are large and clean.

Review 61:Nothing wrong

Review 62:No views

Review 63:Nothing special

Review 64:Location. Compare with price, very good facility.

Review 65:Spa expensive

Review 66:Great location

Review 67:The location is perfect, near the interests. The hotel has a parking lot underground which is very inconvenient in old town.

Review 68:Difficulty in finding hotel. Not listed on Sat Nav.1

Review 69:Average facilities. Average breakfast. Acceptable for the small hotel in the city center.

Review 70:Location. Excellent staf. City is amazing.

Review 71:Hotel was friendly, close to Cathedral

Review 72:We had to pay for parking facilities.

Review 73:The hotel is very modern, comfortable bed and room. For the price paid, the facilities were very good.

Review 74:Not a good view from window

Review 75:Lovely room, great bathroom, nice outdoor bar

Review 76:Modern and comfortable

Review 77:Large modern spacious room. Ex wifi Parking on site.

Review 78:Great location, spacious and clean hotel with very helpful staff.

Review 79:The lady who served us in the restaurant was so pleasant and helpful.

Review 86:We only had time for one night there, we were travelling South, otherwise we would have stayed longer.

Review 87:Huge, modern, clean, excellent value.

Review 88:Wifi did not work in our room

Review 89:on site car park although a challenge and only suitable for small cars. 20€ cash per day.

Review 90:cleanliness (found hairs on my pillow), breakfast (orange juice not 100% fruit, but a "nectar" with added sugar)

Review 91:parking, location, staff
