Review 1：The bathroom - not convenient (water all over upon taking shower) and old (cracked tiles). Wifi - one needs to find a spot where it works and do not move. It is really bad. Site booking.com never opened. Gym needs better ventilation. The hotel needs refurbishment. Unfortunately they started one during our stay, it was unexpected and very noisy. They would have better warned us at the stage of booking.

Review 2：The terrace. We loved it and that is the reason to come back tonight the property. Quite clean. Nice and warm pool. I hope they would work on the problems.

Review 18：No air conditioning. 15 min walk into town, although taxi's are pretty cheap - perfect distance for us but not great for those who like to be in the thick of things. Walking anywhere in Los Gigantos would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues!

Review 19：Fantastic location overlooking Los Gigantes. The balcony is really fantastic with tons of space that means that the pool and pool bar are almost empty most of the time. The apartments are well kitted out although the beds are pretty hard! Shop on site for basics. Restaurant on site if required although tons of restaurants within 10mins.

Review 31：Once arrived at the hotel, we were charged immediately the total amont. Only after that the receptionist told us that there were no rooms available in this hotel, but we were diverted to another one. The other hotel was very different both in terms of quality and position. What upset us has been the fact that we were told that after the payment. This is absolutely not professional and not up to such an high class hotel. They should have been told us that before and eventually proposed another accomodation. I will not reccomend this hotel.

Review 40：We were not requested to provide a credit card guarantee upon the arrival and were forced to bring money any time we had to reserve some activity or buy something in the hotel - - not convinient at all. The NY dinner - I would cook better. Too big potions, poor taste. Some waiters seems to me could not understand you at all some of them never knew what were the rules in the restaurant and the dishes description was unknown for them. Sorry to say it because there were others very professional and nice. When reserving the table we were not advised that there was some special menu for children which later we saw during the dinner on the other tables. Wi-Fi - we had to buy internet from Vodafon. Location would be perfect if not permanent traffic jams.

Review 41：Beautiful view, comfortable apartment, incredible terrace, very clean, regards to the cleaning women, very good and warm swimming pool, friendly ladies with a very reasonable sense of humor in the minimarket. The kitchen in the room is suitable for a permanent living.

Review 42：Space of the room and everything in the room was the best thing about it. There was a free shuttle which could take you to 2 places was a great gift. Fireworks on new years eve was out of this world. The privacy of the resort was brilliant and night entertainment. Great views from the restaurant, cafe and pool area.

Review 45：My husband and I had booked a week between xmas and New Year and reading the reviews before, I must admit was a little concerned, but I need not have worried. The hotel was lovely and the staff polite, courteous and helpful. The hotel has two pools, with plenty of sun beds, and a small gym. Evening entertainment was fun for the kids and we did watch Joe the magician before we went into town one night, he and his assistant were brilliant, their act was very polished and great entertainment!! There was entertainment every evening although we only saw the one act .Our room was cleaned every day and fresh towels supplied. Housekeeping lady was friendly and cheerful. The restaurant staff at breakfast were attentive and nothing was too much trouble even though there was only 3 on duty .Breakfast was fresh and hot .The rooms were a great size with a fully functional kitchen if needed. Bathroom could do with a refurb but was large and clean. We have stayed in many hotels but never have I seen a bigger balcony, and quite private. It had a table and 4 chairs plus 2 sun loungers and the views are outstanding. Yes it is at the top of the town and a good walk down with lots of steps but the hotel supplies a courtesy taxi every hour until early evening and then it is only 3.45 euro. There is a small shop on site which sells all essentials and not overpriced plus a hair salon. The area in and around the hotel is very clean. We paid 55 euro including tip to get from the airport to the hotel which took about 35 mins but asked at the hotel for a transfer back, which was arranged, and it cost 18euro. This took about an hour but we did pick up another couple, I imagine it may take longer in high season. My husband asked if we could get chinese takeaway from anywhere and reception arranged this for us, nothing was too much trouble. We had a late afternoon flight home and were able to keep our room till 12 noon, I had e.mailed this request when I booked.

Review 46：According to the confirmation form from Booking.com, our price included Gala dinner on New Year's Eve but the hotel manager said this fee was not included in our price due to the mistake of Booking.com. After all we had to pay a little discounted fee for Gala dinner, which was not so fancy in the quality of dishes.

Review 47：The bar area lacked a bit needed more comfy chairs and its positioned wrong for scenery. The shower caused flooding everytime it was used

Review 49：The rooms are very outdated and is in need of some refreshment. Kitchen tools are quit poor. Oven, Microwave, Fridge and dishwasher are ok (when we arrived the dishwasher broken and was replaced for a new one) When using the shower it is almost impossible to not spill water on the floor that makes not only the bathroom floor wet and slippery, but also in the living room. Or little boy fell a view times because of the wet floor. Why having a Heineken Draft installation, but poring Cruzcampo beer in a Heineken Glass through the Heineken Draft!! Value for money is not to bad but we stayed a several places on the Island and had beter Value for money

Review 50：We had room 502 and used the sofa bed for our 5 year old son. Rooms are clean en very friendly cleaning ladies. The beds are good and the view from the room is superb. Swimming pool is nice and clean and not to busy. Bar is ok but not spectacular. It would be nicer to have the Cafe Royal open in the evening. We did not used the restaurant because of the price. We thought € 80,- for Christmas diner is a bit expensive and there are good restaurants in the neighborhood. (New years eve party was € 110,-) Nice parking place inside for the car. Overall a good place to stay

Review 51：An info pack in the room would have been good, giving us details about the free shuttle bus etc. My missus thought the bed was far too hard but i appreciate that this is down to personal preference rather than a hotel problem.

Review 52：Good hotel but miles from the town (all vertically). The views from the terraces are amazing. Would try and get somewhere nearer the town next time but if you are of the persusion to not travel much outside the complex then this could well be your place.

Review 53：We tried eating in the Regency Restaurant on the first night using the "a la carte menu" but a couple of things we ordered were not available and then the food when served was really poor. We tried again a week later and the same thing happened. The more communal BBQs and paella eveings looked much better.

Review 54：The apartment lived up to all expectations with plenty of space,comfortable chairs, good kitchen facilities and a splendid view from the large terrace/balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful and when asked about our stay and we complained about the quality of food in the Regency we were quickly offered a complimentary meal and because we were leaving the next day a bottle of champagne arrived instead. The car parking facilities were easy and taxis always arrived in 2 or 3 minutes for a ride out into town should you not want the hard walk or take your car. There is also a free half hourly minibus service into the local area during the day.

Review 55：Walls a bit thin so you could hear neighbours. The internet was more off than on! The lift was slow. The door key was a "Clever Dick" scanning type key that was very temperamental. This sounds terrible but the good things more than made up!

Review 61：Thw bath leaked and was very very difficult to get in and out of. The restaurant the food was poor and the staff unfriendly. The breakfast was also poor. The cooked bit was ok but the cereal was awful.

Review 65：Food. We ate in their the first night and it was overpriced and poor quality and cold. We also paid for paella night which was a huge disappointment and we were given a small amount of paella with a huge amount of macaroni and we were not allowed seconds or to help ourselves. Service in the restaurant was poor too. The childs pool was used by adults who appeared to want a quiet time and gave me and my friend dirty looks as we had a baby with us. The rooms did not have air conditioning and it was too hot at night. The bath tubs do not have any kind of dam system to stop water pouring over the edge - became very slippery after a short shower.

Review 69：Activities: Sometimes the evening activity karaoke was very loud. One evening activity should be Parrot show, we asked in advance the reception and went there in advance to wait for the show, but instead we got 2 singers singing. The day after when checking with the reception, the answer we got was: "maybe" it was cancelled. Swimming Pool The swimming pool is close at 7pm. Breakfast Although Breakfast not many choices but still with various choices. However when they run out of bacon at 9:20, none replenish it and we had to go at 8:20 to make sure we have what we want to eat.

Review 70：There is a huge balcony in the room with magnificent view. The staff are very helpful and react to our request really fast. Very clean. Los Gigantes down town is a walkign distance.

Minor: kitchenutensils lacking - no spatula or proper cooking spoon (we had to use apasta spoon!). Also, I'm sure every guest has to buy salt and pepperand only uses a minuscule amount. Would it kill the hotel staff to justleave the rest in the room for the next guests?

The pool, the staff (the mini-market ladywas really fun), the rooms were spacious and comfortable, the locationwas superb, the price was a good value, the gorgeous mountains, beinghigh up above the city (quieter), huge terraces, the kitchen (self-catering rules!). Be sure to put your do-not-disturb sign up or elsehousekeeping staff may knock at 9 am! 5Th floor is ideal.

Review 77：no air condition, restaurant working hours until 11 pm but we couldn't have a table at 10.15 pm, no room service on Sundays, Billard/Snooker 5€ an hour, We wanted to put drinks or pool fees on our room to pay on departure but because we diddn't open an credit card account on arrival we were told that it is impossible.

Review 85：The food is of a good quality but the choice is extremely limited, the menu is small to start with and then they regularly tell you things are not available so you end up eating pretty much the same stuff every day. The service in the restaurants is a bit hit and miss if busy, silly small things affect it which is a shame. The rooms have fairly ineffective ceiling fans only and we had to go and buy 2 free standing fans as we didn't want to have our patio doors open all night but most did do this and seemed to cope ok. The entertainment is limited and generally provided for at the restaurant rather than the main bar/hall. Most people go out it was quiet when we were there. Drinks are fairly expensive.

Review 86：The location and in particular the views from this hotel all rooms/restaurants/pool are amazing. Most of the staff are great, only the lady who sometimes covers the pool bar is very miserable and unhelpful and tries to sort change you and tell you its not happy hour when it is! Alex and the main pool barman are all great and most of the restaurant staff are too. The apartments are huge and extremely comfortable with lovely balconies. The place is spotlessly clean never saw any rubbish, ants or cockroaches the whole time we were there.

It has a good view at the city. We were lucky to get solid bath and toilet (we wanted to cancel the reservation because of numerous claims about leakages. But we are glad that we did not)

Review 90：The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. There was a very large terrace with a wonderful view of the town and the sea. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet. The pool was only down the corridor!

Review 94：Bathroom finishing touches let it down - shower curtain & bath grouting untidy, for this standard of hotel it should have a separate shower or at the very least a glass partition instead of a curtain - rest of room perfect, perhaps a few broken tiles & flaking paint let it down. Only other issues were late evening meal times, 7pm start is not family friendly - also half board menu should not be restricted to certain dishes - this makes it feel cheap. Last point is the pools were too cold - especially the childrens pool, this should be heated to allow use outside June-August

Review 100：Receptionist Richard was terrible, we stayed in 2 rooms in both of themalmost everything broken, personal has to come to repair all the timesomething and it was disturbing,hairs in bed and bathroom, when u watchtv somebody from other room who also watch change your programs orvolume because they have same remote control as it was explained to uson the reception...when I asked for late check out about one hour nightreceptionist and then morning one they both disagree and then when wecheck out the Manager ask us why we leave so soon?!Wifi is not workingin rooms just around reception, if you order something in restaurantthey bring you something else for example I asked for chocolate mousseand they bring me something with cofee taste and jam in that....inrestaurant was still red lipstick on glass from which I almost start todrink...not everyone from stuff understand english

Review 102：- The breakfast had very little to choose from and was definitely not 5 star material.- The shower was not really a shower, just a shower head hanging over a bathtub, so you have to stand in a awkward position while showering. It´s probably even trickier if you´re really tall. There was also always a lot of water on the floor afterwards. - They were doing renovation work in the apartment next to us, an it was making a lot of noise, I think they were drilling into the stone wall or something, and they gave us no warning that it would be so noisy. I even spesifically asked for a quiet room when I booked, but they flat out ignored it. They really should inform the guests about it on their web-site or on their page at booking.com.

Review 103：- The apartment was great, especially the terrace, which had a beautiful view over Los Gigantes, the ocean and La Gomera.- The staff, from the receptionists, supermarket ladies, cleaning personell, construction builders and pool guy, was very friendly, social and helpful. - I liked the architecture of the building, it felt very open and airy. - A relatively short walk to the centre of Los Gigantes.

Review 105：Great views, overlooking La Gomera island, fabulous apartments, big terraces. The food was fantastic, cocktails at the pool bar are excellent. Great experience, definitely come back again.

Review 110：The apartment itself desperately needed updating. There was no washing machine and only 1 plug socket for all the kitchen appliances. The kitchen units were obviously old and the bathrooms were the same. The sealant round the edge of the bath was peeling away and blackening. There was a beautiful flat screen tv but no english channels.

Review 111：The view from the apartment was amazing and the size of the apartment was very comfortable. However, we were 3 adults and 1 infant in a 6 adult apartment. The pool and cafe/restaurants were all very clean and well kept and service was good.

Review 112：Breakfast was awful. Two large beautiful parrots kept in a tiny cage and why? People dont like to see wild birds caged, let them be free.

Review 115：The staff were lovely - very friendly and helpful. The apartment is spacious with a wonderful terrace, and fantastic views. We liked the fully-equipped kitchen. Ample indoor parking, although it does cost extra. New minimarket opened in the hotel complex while we were there, and is helpful, as there are no other markets within walking distance.

Review 118：First and foremost, I did not like the fact that the informationdescribed in hotel's webpage does not perfectly match with whatactually the hotel provides. For instance, the swimming pool is not 50meters and I am sure not if it was heated as promised in the webpage.Second, "the restaurant" was not opened yet. Third, there isno sign on the building that the hotel is five stars. In addtion tothese, I and my wife were shocked to pay a deposit for a hairdryer andto fill a form to receive a remote control from the reception. It issure that the hotel was not fullly opened yet, but it might haveadvertised itself more honestly. Despite all these issues, this hotel ishowever still a pleasant place for a stay.

Review 119：The location of the hotell is excellent. The room and the terrace isspacious. The hotell is very silent, which makes it a perfectdestination for resting.

Review 120：- The hotel is new and not 100% ready. For example: the pool heating was not working; internet did not function half of the time; - With New Year the music was far too loud to sleep, even after 04:00AM. This is not nice for us and our daughter. - Beds were very low quality which you would not expect of a 5 star hotel. - No facilities which you expect of a 5 star hotel; this is really not worth 5 stars, only 3 stars.

Review 122：Rude, obnoxious, unhelpful man on reception. Screeching parrots in a cage (don't expect to sleep in late). Cheep, poorly fitted furniture. Cheep noisy fridge. Individual boiler in the room - can run out of hot water. No hair dryer in room.

Review 123：Studio room was a good size with fully equipt kitchen. Large flat screen TV. Nice terrace with fantastic view. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was nice and good value.

Awful bathroom smell that never went away. Had to pay for Internet for a week which didn't work. Pay for room safe. Very small restaurant menu. Hotel unfinished. Review 126：The bath/shower was an appalling design. It was very difficult toget in to and the shower curtain did not go all the way round, so thewater flooded onto the floor and ran into the living areas - there wasnowhere else for it to go. The wi-fi didn't work. The cleaners onlymade the bed and did no cleaning. Not all the lights worked. Lots ofteething problems still to sort out!!
