Reviews for Design Suites Salta
Review 1:No complaints.
Review 2:If you like contemporary design, this is good, and very comfortable. Big rooms and bathrooms. Pool on the roof with great view. The restaurant is excellent, with very friendly staff, and exceptional food in a minimalist setting.
Review 3:We stayed at this hotel on 3 seperate nights during our recent stay in Argentina. The location is excellent just 5-10 minute walk from the main square and you can always manage to park your car on the square outside of the hotel. The rooftop pool although small is adequate with great views. The breakfast selection is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful and were kind enough to store some of our luggage whilst we were visiting other places.
Review 4:Bed very lumpy and uncomfortable. Breakfast very basic, even for Argentinian standards.
Review 5:Beautiful good sized room with an excellent view. Nice pool area. Attractive breakfast room.
Review 6:We were put in the room on the first floor facing a road. In spite of design, the rooms are really badly isolated. I am usually a good sleeper, but that night could not sleep even a minute, the traffic did not stop at any time. The hotel can be stylish as this, but if one cannot sleep - it does not serve its purpose. The stuff was not very responsive to this, the breakfast was average.
Review 7:The hotel justifies its name and has modern design. The hotel has very central location in a nice part of Salta.
Review 8:I felt the breakfast could be improved by providing more savoury and healthier options. There were a lot of sweets, even the cereals were sugary. The coffee was dreadful. The coffee boil over for hours in one of those big electric containers. We hardly saw any staff attending the buffet. Not enough blankets were provided.
Review 9:The rooms were spacious, very clean. The view from our room. Close and central to everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 10:The reservation requested 2 twin beds and the confirmation noted that if beds weren't available we could get additional bed for a fee. They did not honor the option for an additional role away, did not provide additional room options, and during my stay did not provide me the opportunity to speak to a manager. There are plenty of other places in Salta to stay which will honor their commitments.
Review 11:The hotel should make sure that they pay attention to minor issues in te rooms (broken tile / loose grip next to the bath ect, as said minor) but in order to stay at te top range of hotels, should be fixed!
Review 12:The pool, small but good for a quick cool down
Review 13:We were leaving and needed a taxi but the heavens had opened and the water in the street was up to 18ins Hotel very unhelpful in getting a taxi Had to stand out in the pouring rain myself
Review 14:The room was ok but the staff are not helpful, nobody even says good morning not a welcoming atmosphere Would not recommend
Review 15:see above comments re bathroom noise there was no hot option for breakfast on four of the five nights stayed. concrete jungle would be a way of describing as floors and ceilings are unfinished concrete very depressing it is near town square which useful
Review 16:the bathroom was ridiculous the basin was outside and a very low height. no soap dish. the bathroom door barely scrapped past the toilet and no room to get out of shower as bidet in line with shower ony the bath access the noise from the traffic makes it impossible to get sleep
Review 17:Wifi was not great, but fine for checking emails etc. The jacuzzi was under construction and the pool really needs a good clean and facelift. Gym was quite limited (cardio area only features two home trainers).
Review 18:We loved the staff of this hotel; all very friendly and helpful and they all spoke English very well. They definitely made our stay more enjoyable. The jacuzzi in the bathtub in our room was a nice surprise. Sauna facilities on the 4th are good.
Review 19:Location was great for the musems we wanted to see and downtown shopping resturant was excellent also location to airport was good lunch packed by front desk was very much appreciated moien bien
Review 20:I carelessly handed over my Visa card as a deposit (something I neverdo, as a precaution) and noticed how they wrote down the 3 digitsecurity code. I have not noticed any suspicious activity, but I wouldhave prefered that they simply reserved a sum instead. It left me withan uncomfortable feeling. The breakfast was OK, but I missed eggs, whole grain bread or larger cereal bowls, i.e. something that fills your stomache.
Review 21:We stayed here one night after 24 hours of flights. The beds wereflat and comportable, neither hard or too soft. Room service wasgreat, we asked for a custom order that was off the menu and this wasno problem at all.
Review 22:Tiny pool on roof .. Really small are with 3 loungers ans two umbrellas for shade . Chairs and seating areas .. Very modern but very uncomfortable ..staff short in breakfast room .. And very sad looking no one came near us to see if we wanted cooked breakfast had to knock on kitchen door after a while .. Location great .
Review 23:The organization of my massage by the reception staff and the massage itself should be smoother/better at such a hotel and we missed hangers for all our towels...
Review 24:Very nice design hotel in a central location with good breakfast! We loved our spacious and comfy room with the view over the city to the mountains. We would definitely go there again!
Review 25:Room charged in our credit card when checking in, when it as only for guarantee. Paid in cash when checking out and then I saw a charge in my Amex. They say it's a pre-block, but it was debited in my account.
Review 26:Nice design, spacious rooms and perfect location.
Review 27:Comfort and very soft bed linen. very spacious room. Amazing views from the pool. Great staff who speaks a few languages. Breakfast was delicious. Restaurant, breakfast rooms and lounge are so beautiful and arty rooms. Excellent hotel and services, my luggage was lost and the staff delivered my suitcase one day late to my room, excellent service.
Review 28:Sadly poor staffing at breakfast .. Had to knock door to get attention of kitchen .. No staff around .. Table needing cleared. Very unhappy looking waitress. Other staff.. Fine but seems understaffed.trendy design chairs in rooms would not suit older ! Or a lot of people
Review 29:for dinner, I do not recommend the restaurant. they try too hard and over garnish all of their dishes. not worth it.
Review 30:the breakfast buffet is excellent.
Review 31:The breakfast was very poor The room had to be changed as the bed was very lumpy The Internet price we paid was almost three times the price on the day...
Review 32:Location was excellent Restaurant was excellent especially for lunch...
Review 33:The breakfast was very poor with little or no choice.. We did not think that the hotel room represented value for what we paid. We had to change our room once as the bed was lumpy
Review 34:Location...that's about all
Review 35:Wi-Fi was often not working well from our room.
Review 36:Amazing value for the money by booking with Booking.com. We booked a Suite, and got upgraded to a Palace Suite upon arrival, and it was one of the nicest rooms we've ever stayed in.
Review 37:Very welcoming & modern. Great views of the city & mountains surrounding Salta. Central position .
Review 38:Great friendly staff. Very clean rooms.
Review 39:more options on breakfast.

Review 42:Location is excellent. Modern design, plenty of space. Excellent breakfast . The staff is very friendly.
Review 43:Wifi connection on the 9th floor wasn't great
Review 44:Location The jacuzzi bath was amazing Rooftop pool Modern feel of the hotel
Review 45:100% unflexible. Terribel attitude!!
Review 46:merchandising with prices
Review 47:location, rooms and breakfast
Review 48:Goede service, luxe, alles op loopafstand.
Review 49:The staff, thé location
Review 50:Nothing!
Review 51:Nicely designed room Comfortable bed Close to central plaza Short walk to all attractions
Review 52:The longe area next to reception could have been more comfortable and inviting
Review 53:The roof top pool and gym. The location and restaurant
Review 54:Noisy room, poor Internet connection, nice design but extremely uncomfortable furniture.
Review 55:Friendly and efficient staff.
Review 56:Noisy room, poor wifi.
Review 57:Nice gym, friendly staff.
Review 58:Nothing
Review 59:The friendly service, excellent location and pleasant facilities, including a roof-top swimming pool.
Review 60:Hard surfaces (concrete roofs, corridors) mean that there can be alot of noise from the corridors heard in rooms and also noise from adjacent rooms
Review 61:we loved the breakfast, location, the cool artistic style everywhere and also the staff.
Review 62:Staff from the restaurant was not "there" for customers.
Review 63:Beautiful, big, comfortable rooms. Excelent location.
Review 64:The design of the hotel is long dated which does not prevent it from being nice and comfortable.
Review 65:It is a centrally located comfortable place to stay during your visit to Salta.
Review 66:There isn't anything that we did not like.
Review 67:The hotel is modern and stunning. We spent part of our first evening on the rooftop -- the Jacuzzi overlooks the city with the mountains in the background. The location is excellent for proximity to shops, restaurants and the airport. Salta is a central location for touring northwestern Argentina so you are able to see many of the nearby tourist attractions and return in the evening.
Review 68:WiFi could be much better. It kept disconnecting .And was slow.
Review 69:Location is great. Minutes walk from restaurants and central streets. Services like lsunfry were very cheap compared to other places we visited on Argentina. The staff also was helpful with providing information about excursions in the area. Nice pool also :-)
Review 70:The hotel only has an outdoor swimming pool. As the weather was a bit chilly, I couldn't use it.
Review 71:Loved this hotel. Big rooms, very clean and an excellent location. The staff was really helpful and friendly. Don't miss the restaurant, it is one of the best in Salta! Would return to this hotel without a second thought.
Review 72:The location of the hotel was excellent, only a 5 min walk to the main city square and good shopping and eating areas. Only 10 min walk from San Martin Park. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and happy to assist and recommend tours in the area. I went on 2 and both were very good and excellent value for money. The rooftop swimming pool was very good on a hot sunny day and had lovely views over the town and to San Bernardo's Hill. I would stay at the hotel again if I was returning to Salta.
Review 73:design, space of the room. Great service by all the staff. Breakfast was fun in the old part of the hotel - great juxtaposition of modern room and older building
Review 74:The worst Wifi service - slow, inconsistent. Sad breakfast - poor choices, no variety, not very abundant. Pool is lovely but small (5-6 lounge chairs).
Review 75:Rooms were large and tastefully decorated. Large bathrooms. Located on a charming square that houses the main police station. Also 2 blocks away from the main square Plaza 9 de Julio.
Review 76:Our room was on the first floor, so we had a lot of noice from the busy street. The facilities which the hotel offers were not to our expectation. The jacuzzi was closed and the sauna was seperated by men and women. Not very nice when you want to go to the sauna with your husband.
Review 77:The location is great, everyting is on walking distance. The breakfast and restaurant are good and offer a good variety.
Review 78:They tried to let us pay two times the breakfast, they said it was not included in the booking price (although the confirmation of booking said it was), and also in their invoice, it was marked as room w/breakfast and apart of it again the breakfast…really not a nice experience. Staff in general was not very friendly.
Review 79:nice big rooms, close to the cathedral and the museum,
Review 80:There ist one very important point to know: We have been for two nights in the hotel. The first night we have got an "'Room-upgrade" to the so called "palace rooms" in the old part of the hotel. Very nice but: this was not an upgrade, this was a really very bad experience. The palace rooms as unbelievebal loud. There is absolutely no isoation from the room to the very buisy Begrano Road. It feels like the cars drive throu your room - all the night long. No chance to sleep. We spend the second night in the new part of the hotel. This is from the noise point realy OK.
Review 81:The hotel ist very nice, great design, the location ist perfect for a Salta visit. max. 5 min walk to the center. 15 min walk to the "train a las nubes" station.
Review 82:Not all of the staff spoke very well english, swimming pool was too hot for this time a year (spring). Jacuzzi wasn't even filled with water.
Review 83:Spacious rooms, clean, located at beautiful square near shops and restaurants. Restaurant food (lund, dinner and breakfast) was amazing!
Review 84:The elevator stops and leaves 5 cm between floor level and elevator Floor. Easy to trip over or hurt your toe. As happend to my spouse
Review 85:Good parking vaker service. Nice lounge music atmosphere. Design well thought off while using concrete. Nice clean spacy room Central location Excellent bathroom Very friendly staff Nice swimming pool at 0730 in the morning at Floor 9. Small but crispy and Nice view. Super merger of traditional OLd spanish house (for breakfast) Into design modern hotel
Review 86:A modern building right in the center of Salta. The rooms are big and comfortable. The rooftop swimming pool has a stunning view all over the city. The staff is efficient and the breakfast is good.
Review 87:For those who are very demanding and can't sleep with any noise ... in Suite 501 air conditioning (heat/cold) was a bit noisy, it didn´t particularly bother me.
Review 88:The service is excellent. I was in suite 501, and 201 in the junior suite, very nice views both. The rest is very good too. Breakfast is excellent.
Review 89:We could hear when someone flushed the toilet or used the shower in the other room. We could also hear noise outside in the corridor like it was in the room.
Review 90:Helpful and friendly staff. Design of the rooms lovely and very luxurious fittings. great location - just around the corner from the main plaza. Quiet - we got a room facing the side street.
Review 91:The best hotel on our trip! Very nicely decorated, good staff, bar downstairs and situated right in the centre, but not on an extremely busy street, so it was quiet enough. We had a great time!
Review 92:Cold, any little service must be paid, very formal. Something like avery commun multinational branch of so called grand hotels... Noisyrooms, what did they use as a material?;-)...
Review 93:Design, central location
Review 94:Fitness facilities could be improved. Perhaps adding small TV for viewing while working out.
Review 95:Great feel and superb location. Swimming pool on roof was also at a nice temperature.
Review 96:For me the Design was missing. I mean the hotel rooms are nice and all but i was expecting a bit more. The pictures online always look better. Pool on the roof didn't look clean. Breakfast buffet was good but make sure it is included in the room price.
Review 97:After check-out you can leave your baggage there and collect it later. What was really nice was that we could shower and use the bathrooms before finally leaving.
Review 98:Everything! I originally booked for 3 nights and ended up booking anextra night. Location was amazing, staff extremely helpful andprofessional and just made everything is easy for me.
Review 99:Restaurant: to all appearances, we were the only guests. It took nearlyan hour for food to be served, and one order was not served at all.
Review 100:Reception helpful with early check-in
Review 101:The only drawback is that, although we had a beautiful restored room inthe old building, the trafficnoise during almost the whole of the nightwas unbearable: it was as if we were sleeping in the middle of the road.Inpossible to sleep without earplugs.
Review 102:Terrific hotel: modern, design. Superbe roofterras with swimmingpool andjaccusi. Great service (they helped us in a unbelievable way when we hadproblems with finding a rental car). Location is inbetween the centerand the restaurant area.
Review 103:Bad Breakfast, fake orange juice every morning. A lot of noise in the room with the Aircon off !
Review 104:Clean room Recent hotel
Review 105:Impossible to use Internet in my room. Only two tiny drawers for lingerie.
Review 106:Good staff, efficient and friendly.
Review 107:Excellent location close to the places to be visited. Friendly staff, and well prepared.
Review 108:Nice and spacy room. Very clean. The staff was very helpfull. The restaurant was excellent.
Review 109:Very nice and modern hotel in great location in central Salta. Nice room with view of the city and the mountains. Good wi-fi.
Review 110:the rooftop terrace pool!
Review 111:A little bit expensive..
Review 112:Design is everywhere. its almost perfect. Good breakfast, big rooms but the best is the swimingpool at the roof.
Review 113:The aircon is a bit weak.
Review 114:Spacious room, close to the city centre, helpful staff.
Review 115:Comfortable Designer hotel Roof-top swimming pool Friendly, helpful staff Central location Good breakfast
Review 116:View from my room..and the cooffee at breakfast.
Review 117:Pool not heated Hotel not very lived-in: felt a bit unpersonal Expected a bit more of restaurant
Review 118:Fun design Nice spa
Review 119:Not clean enough Prices of mini bar crazy
Review 120:Location
Review 121:Overdesigned, undersized sink in bathroom is only a minor problem.
Review 122:Rooftop swimming pool, large, comfortable rooms.
Review 123:No black out curtains - really annoying as there are large windows !!!
Review 124:Location, food at osadia
