Reviews for Hotel Rural la Correa del Almendro
Review 1:Beautiful small hotel with character and great views from our balcony, super helpful and friendly staff, home made breakfast and dinner - it fell just like home. :) We would totally recommend this hotel!
Review 2:It would be nice to have access to hot boiled water and not to disturb anybody. Not enough light in the room to read. Don't try to rent a car via the partners of a guesthouse. It is twice as much as in the city or in the Internet.
Review 3:An ideal place for driving around the island or hiking as a "base". To come back to birds singing, nice dinner and comfort of this cosy place. Paella was superb! You even may do without a car for a few days. In Arona (15 min.walk)there are buses to take you to Los Christianos (a beach) or Vilaflor village.
Review 4:Still in need of a bit more renovation and renewal of room fittings and patios to make make most of its potential
Review 5:Great situation away from the crowds, if access a little difficult. Good breakfast.
Review 6:Noise and sounds from the neighbouring room.
Review 7:It is an old Canarian house with plenty of charm. Situated at around 700m altitude, it has beautifull views over the nearby coast. You see Los Christianos in the distance. But this place is so much more quiet, small scale (only 6 rooms) and relax !!! We didn,t mind the distance from the sea, on the contrary! (Only 13 km, you need your own car though). If you want Canarian athmosphere and not the huge standard hotels plenty of sunbathing and partying loud foreigners, this is the perfect place. You can dinner here if you order in the morning. The people running the place are VERY friendly indeed. For sunbathing you can stay next to the private swimmingpool (but this is not heathed )
Review 8:Bad hard beds, had to flip one mattress over. Not soundoroofed rooms. Cold room due to simple windows and windy weather. Bot heated pool but anyway to cold in December for a swim because of the altitude.
Review 9:Surprisingly great exterior and surroundings. Steep hills to get to location, car needed. Excellent staff and great breakfast selection and wifi connection. A lot of parking space.
Review 10:Slight drainy smell. Out of the way although not difficult to find.
Review 11:Breakfast was way above standard. Room was satisfactory rather than terrific, but good value for money. Great views.
Review 12:This was not a problem for us but the hotel is up a steep minor narrow rural road and some people might not like this.
Review 13:The hotel has an exceptional location with extensive views from high up above the S coast. The grounds are extensive with a swimming pool. The property is full of character being a 300 year old farmhouse. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice.
Review 14:the location is fantastic, the people are very friendly and everything has been just perfect. If you book the diner, the food is just exceptionally fantastic.
Review 15:The bed was not as we asked for. A small fridge could have been a good solution when it was hot outside.
Review 16:The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner was also good. The hotel has beautiful surrounding and the atmosphere was great.
Review 17:The road to get there is a bit curvy and dangerous. I recommend getting there by T51 instead of T66 (which is the shorter one) T51 is much safer and has less curves.
Review 18:Lovely place in the mountains, the staff is really nice, they treated my sister and I as family. The food is very good, homemade and delicious Canarian recipes, I recommend to sup there.
Review 19:The hotel is not to close to Las Americas you have to have a rented car, but it is so calm.
Review 20:The breakfast is really good you can choose from fruits, bread, jam and they serve eggs too.
Review 21:This place is just perfect. Away from all the noise down in Los Christianos, including a perfect view. We liked it a lot to try all the different canary island food during our one week stay. The couple running this place offers a three course meal every night. This is as close as you can get the real canary island hospitality.
Review 22:Jesus and Leonore are amiable hosts. We have enjoyed the 14 days in a quiet environment. The property is beautiful with sea view. You can make beautiful tours in the direction of Teide from here. Best of all was that we were spoiled with delicious Canary dishes of Jesus and Leonore. Also the breakfast that usually was served us by Carmen was a very good start in the day. We still remember this beautiful holiday and certainly come back.
Review 23:Really horrible unpleasant smell from septic in the bathroom comming from the sink. There is no siphon / water-seal under the sink. Apartment No.2.
Review 24:+ calmness + quiet + nicely furnished room + delicious breakfast
Review 25:Was a bit of smell from the bathroom. Maybe something needs fixing. Nothing too bad though :).
Review 26:Playa de las Americas can be seen down below... But up on the mountainside the sky is dark and clear and it's so silent. Just the place to hide away from the crowds below and just relax. Also the best bed we had on our entire trip!
Review 27:Don't drive after dark unless you know the roads! Some very steep slopes and drops. The hotel wasn't expecting us, despite having booked, and there was no one there to let us in.
Review 28:A beautiful location and lovely grounds.
Review 29:tricky shower- sometimes difficult to control the temperature.
Review 30:Friendly helpful staff Good local food and wine - great breakfast perfect peaceful location amongst the almond blossom
Review 31:The room was cold. Only one choice at dinner. No beer at the restaurant, only wine. Too far from the village (Arona) to go to another restaurant in the evening.
Review 32:Very authentic place, runned by nice couble. Nice old room at the second floor of the main building.
Review 33:You need a car to get to this lovely place.
Review 34:The Hoast was soo nice. He was helpful in every way. Could not do enough for us. The room had a lot of ambience and all you need. The place was absolutely beautiful!!!
Review 35:Ensuite shower room a bit tried could do with a re vamp but did not impact adversely on stay as still serviceable and very clean. Oleander bushes on private terraces could do with trimming so as not to obstruct view of the sea.
Review 36:Lovely bedroom better than photos show. Dining room delightful attractively decorated and furnished. Good evening meal 3 courses 30 Euros for 2 persons. Owner collected us from airport 25 euros (essential if you don't have a car) took us next morning to ferry 20 euros. Breakfast very good quality. Loved the old buildings and atmosphere. All rooms (6) have very large private terraces with table chairs and sunlounger..
Review 37:Quite complicated to find the place - if your GPS happens to choose extreme roads.
Review 38:Very nice small traditional country house in mountain area with beautiful garden and friendly staff.
Review 39:The location is wonderful, great views, good walks from the hotel. The owners were very helpful and did everything to make us feel comfortable. The meals were very good
Review 40:We overslept missed the breakfast no doubt it was delicious
Review 41:Excellent staff fantastic evening meal would like to eat there again. Great place for relaxation.
Review 42:Great breakfast and a view
Review 43:Good overall experience, great for calm and slow holiday.
Review 44:Away from everything, tjats a good thing but without a car, its hard because there is no restaurant..
Review 45:You will need a car to get there.

Review 55:The unusual atmosphere
Review 56:It was like staying in your own cottage in the sun. Good relaxing atmosphere everything together in one place a great way to refuel .
Review 57:In the room number 2 weak WI-FI signal.
Review 58:Good location ! Peace and quiet ! Amicability ! Nice view ! Free parking !
Review 59:The steep access road needs courage to drive.
Review 60:Breakfast had high quality food. Wifi was excellent. The landlord and the landlady are very friendly and helpfull. Quiet location, but you need a car.
Review 61:The meal on offer for 20 euros was poor but the nearest restaurant is amile or two away down a steep hill. Good for a night stop but not forlonger stay. Maybe a little pricey.
Review 62:Wonderful location in almond groves, convenient for airport and ferriesat Los Cristianos. Marvellous views. Lovely old building, nicelyconverted. Decent sized room.
Review 63:Walls very thin indeed and noise travelled!! You could hear everything said in next room and people using toilet etc...not good.
Review 64:excellent location friendly, clean
Review 65:The bedroom door frames are in keeping with the buildings but if your are tall you have to remember to duck a lot!
Review 66:Very friendly and welcoming Very helpful Lovely surroundings
Review 67:If you decided to stay in this hotel you should have some car for everyday's trip.I am not sure exactly but ,I seem this does not problem.
Review 68:I stayed in this hotel second time .If want to have a nice view from terrace or balcony you should to be here.If want to have a nice dreams you should to be here . if you do not like fuss you should to be here. If you going to make mountain trip you should to be here .Every traveller can has very much reasons to be here again.
Review 69:You really need a car, although I walked down the mountain to Arona village below, and caught the bus from there, the walk back up is extremely arduous. I did it once and taxied after that!
Review 70:I was seeking a tranquil and peaceful few days in the sun after finishing work on near by La Gomera, and this was absolutely perfect. A stunning rural setting, beautifully run, I slept so soundly and woke to beautiful birdsong and sunlight filtering into my room. The proprietors could not do enough for me, and there is a delightfully warm and happy atmosphere here. I will most certainly return.
Review 71:We woke up at 4am with the bed full of ants (in fact they had been crawling all over us for hours and we had ant bites everywhere). At 4.30am, after waking the couple, they gave us another room on the 2nd floor. It did not have ants in the bed, but the bathroom and parts of the bedroom was also crowded with ants. There were dead ants (after treatment) one one side, and live ants on the other. After I got again bitten by ants sitting on the toilet after we had changed rooms, and again got bitten by ants sitting on the balcony, we had enough, and left after only one night. The couple was very apologetic and refunded us the second night. This is a wonderful hotel, but I would call them first to check if they have solved the ant problem before booking.
Review 72:Wonderfully nice facilities. The view is awesome. The couple managing the place is super-friendly, and the breakfast and food is awesome.
Review 73:This is a fairly isolated accommodation with few facilities. It is basic in all respects, expensive and not value for money with few amenities. It does not qualify as a hotel but rather a guest house. It is probably suitable for a walking holiday only. The rooms are dark , uncomfortable and do not have the facilities that reflect in the price...no fridge, kettle, proper shower , etc.The hosts are however charming and willing to please as best as they can.
Review 74:Friendly host
Review 75:Only available English TV station was BBC World News.
Review 76:The owners were more than helpful - could not do enough for us. Friendly clientele from all over Europe, Super views. Excellent breakfasts. Firm very comfortable beds. Super little dog, "Chippy" who would run out to greet guests on arrival.
Review 77:The instructions of how to get there from the airport (Tenerife South) were based on the shortest route but this was not the easiest to follow, since it used a number of minor roads with names/turnings that were in error in at least 2 cases. Taking the main roads to Arona and picking up the instructions from there would have been a lot easier.
Review 78:Friendly staff, excellent food, beautiful location, wonderful scenery, very relaxing,...
Review 79:Small hotel in a lovely historic building, ideally located for exploring the surrounding countryside and driving up to Teide national park. Beautifull veranda in front of room with great view. Very friendly and welcoming hotel owners. You can sign up for a good value home cooked dinner for the evenings as well (handy if you're staying a few days as only 2 restaurants in Arona village, which is about 1km walk down and back up a steep hill, but you do need to let them know before you arrive for the first night and in the mornings for the following nights). It would be easiest staying here if you have a rental car.
Review 80:We were very happy to find this location easily for it is rather faraway from main road.
Review 81:Nice Panoramic view Friendly staff Authentic Dining is possible Good high speed wifi
Review 82:The road to get to the hotel was steep and not to easy to find.
Review 83:Superb view and very peaceful
Review 84:car is essential
Review 85:very good small hotel. great room. great views. nice pool and pool deck.
