Review 1：We loved everything. But if you can't stand a leak here or there...if you don't appreciate the effect of the elements on a building being run on a tight margin, then...you don't deserve this place. Stay somewhere else!

Review 2：* THE STAFF: professional, friendly, well trained, happy, busy, not iritatingly attentive but always available. * THE HOTEL: it was winter, so its the off season, but the garden was lovely. This place IS Alexandria. It's not perfect and its hard to keep it in top shape because it is literally right on the beach. The elements are hard on the place but to us, it only added to the authenticity of the Alexandrian experience. The beautiful artwork and the stunning spiral staircase that adorn the huge, airy lobby, along with the white cherubic statutes around the pool and garden made us feel like we had stepped back in time but with the important comforts of home. We also felt very safe because the hotel is in a gated community with 24 hour security at the community gates as well as the hotel. *THE BREAKFAST: Delicious and staffed by friendly people and sweet cats who love to sneak into the buffet. They add to the experience! *THE BEACH: the private, guarded beach was available to us, almost exclusively, at all hours and is stocked with several different seating arrangements and portable beach furniture on a pristine, shell covered beach on the crystal clear Mediterranean Sea. Sublime! THE NEIGHBORHOOD: the streets are lined with fun cafes of several different styles, there are fresh seafood markets, and a delish koshury restaurant. If you are going to Alex you should consider choosing this hotel. It was certainly perfect for us.

Review 3：Rooms need some LTD and quickly. Facilities are in a state of disrepair. But not beyond redemption. Staff speak some English. You should ask them to repeat back to you what you want.

Review 4：Some staff were very helpful. Look looked great. But it was too cold to swim. Breakfast was not bad either.

Review 5：Changed 3 rooms. Every shower flooded the bathroom. Breakfast is boring. Air-conditioning didn't work. No simple maintenance done. I even offered to fix things and they admitted it just won't get done. Staff that don't understand that they should move out of the way of guests carrying food or luggage, not vice-versa. Outside car park that is supposed to have security but we had open the gate ourselves un-noticed. Poor wifi that only worked in lobby although visible in the rooms.

My room the TV is working but not very well.. I have to wait for the signal.. 3. The carpet's smell is unbearable.. Not clean at all 4. Can you believe that there are Mostiquos in our rooms???!!!!! 5. The breakfast was good One more point: Unfortunately I contacted the hotel (Paradise Inn) asking to postpone my visit one day due to weather conditions before sending you my request and they claim that i have to contact you not them for my request!!!! I insisted that booking don't care and it is their call to accept my request or not but they insisted that I have to contact you and deny their responsibility

Review 11：- Cleanliness (there were ants in the bathroom). - They charged me an additional cost of $20 as a breakfast cost for my two children (7 & 10 years old); although my room was double with children with breakfast included. Their reason was the children are above 6 years old !! - Beach was not prepared as we went in winter (not a reasonable reason). - VERY IMPORTANT: Pool is not allowed for Ladies wearing "Islamic Swimming Suite". This was really a shock for me, as 5 stars hotels in Sinai don't make this. - There is no heated pool. - Single beds are very small. - Pillows are completely not comfortable (I didn't believe that when I read such comment before my going there). - Room's door is the terrace door, it's glass and feel watched and not safe. - Very expensive compared to its facilities.

Review 15：- They have good facilities but we were not able to use them during our stay. We stayed here right after the November 2015 storm and as consequence, the spa was flooded, the pool was full of glass and the beach was dirty (full of dirty bag). I would have appreciated being informed by the hotel before I arrived as I booked the stay to have a relaxing weekend (spa, beach, etc) and it was nothing like it!!!! - The dining room decor is a big dated. - We booked a room with breakfast included but we were not able to get our breakfast delivered to our room. They would only deliver cake not savoury dishes such as omelette, bread and cheese, etc) which is a bit of a shame as it is a 4* hotel.

Review 29：This is not my first stay in Paradise Inn. However, unfortunately, it was not the greatest. The prices used to be a lot cheaper and the quality used to be a lot higher, now it's the other way around. The room needed more cleaning and maintenance, they make you sign "a rule" that you may not bring food or drinks from outside the hotel when the room service food is not that great, the staff used to be a lot nicer and more professional, now they're generally apathetic or not so nice and the overall stay didn't just feel as good as it usually would. I'm not sure if I would come back.

Waiter , cashier & chef were eating in the restaurant entrance leaving us waiting for the order ! Review 37：Where do I begin? I've been to many 4 stars hotels around the world, however this one is worst ever. This hotel cannot be rated 4 stars, barely 2 stars facility & service. -Reception service is poor and lousy -Room key chain wont fit within anyone pocket (no cards) -Bill boy took an hour to bring the bags, though he was right behind us with trolley but suddenly disappeared midway -The bungalow was filthy, Jacuzzi was full of tree leaves, the closet was partially broken and not clean, couldn't place my cloth there, had to keep it inside my bags for the entire stay. Bathroom shower had a broken fossil and no hot water. I thought the initial bungalow was a bad one, so kept asking reception to change the bungalow which they did twice hoping for a better one but no luck. -Pool area is not bad, but the pool edges are broken in some places which is quite hazardous for swimmers in a slippery areas. -Room Service will always take at least hour to bring simple orders, and several times didnt show up, had to call again where they said they forget I made an order. Food was bad as well, -Concierge were clueless about anything and only asking to tips upon entry and exist -Even when you walk around the hotel their garbage is thrown to street. I'm surprised they are not fined by the city officials. I am generous tipper and expect high level of service accordingly, I regret every dime I spent there for either the accommodation and tips. I will never stay there again nor recommend it. Therefore I switched my last two nights to Sheraton Almuntazah. I would've done that earlier but they wont refund the rest of the week.

Review 38：Location is great Private beach setup, which is the only hotel in Alexandria with direct beach access doesnt require crossing the street. Private beach staff were great House keeping were nice showing up on time and doing the best to clean the bungalow.

Review 39：I didn't like their fraud because I booked room sea view with king bed, they received Under restoration room dirty, no telephone ,damaged Curtains, paints smell and separate beds. I complained and they promised me they will change it next day morning, Next day I asked for the breakfast in my room but nothing, I checked out and waited tell 3 PM to get the other room. I found it pool view no sea view although there is a deference between the price and served as single room. My opinion it is the worse hotel I booked.

Review 40：Generally the staff were excellent but were slow to act on reasonable requests. The room was not ready on arrival but a suitable alternative was found after some waiting. Ordering a glass of wine was a challenge as the small glass came only half full and when queried the waiter said: "Do you want a double?"

Review 46：I booked a sea view room and got a pool view room at the rate of sea view!!! Staff very manipulative lacking integrety. They told us they would change the room but they didn't. Offered us a discounted rate for the room only to find on check out there was no discount made. The staff kept giving false information and lying from the moment we arrived. Terrible stay will never stay there again.

Review 47：nothing... only the cost of one night is much...but... this is the only hotel in Alexandria that has a beach front with a reasonable price.. otherwise it will be higher or less but without a beach facility.

Forst let me explain that I'm a frequent traveller to outside the country, I'm 45 years old, and I'm judging fairly, I have read so many negative comments on the hotel which made me uncomfortable but i decided to try it myself... the hotel is very nice, I'm an old visitor to Maamoura... Maamoura area has changed a lot but this hotel brought memories specially after renovation. Beach is very clean, you can find all different standards and levels of visitor, you will find veiled people, and bikini in the same time but no one is bothering anybody, the DJ on beach is making nice atmosphere, breakfast has everything...room 200 comfortable room but small, staff is very polite... the house keepers and service are lazy a bit.

There was a person jumping to us everywhere in the breakfast, in the cafe, etc with a disgusting way asking us "Is everything ok?" in a cheap way trying to get a tip for just asking!!!! . No cattle or iron in the rooms . They prevented us from using internationally recognized respectable swimming dresses for ladies in the swimming pool asking us to use pikineies which is not acceptable by some cultures . Beds weren't clean and caused allergy for us . Breakfast selection is below average . Curtains of bath had some dirty spots most likely spots of stool . Charged the first day b4 arrival and charged the full payment again upon arrival and had a hard time to get a refund . Carpets are not clean and the place in general . Cafe and the food preparation area are full of cats and in a bad shape . Closed Cafe had a bad air conditioning and was full of flies . The place is full of mosquitoes . We reserved a sea view room and they gave us a street view . The place can be evaluated as only One star even less

They don't have sea view units as they mention, they have only partial sea view with many sightseeing barriers. A lot insects, flys at morning & mosquitoes at night and there is no insects traps anywhere. No AC in the reception & check in process took 30 minutes. Islamic swimming wear for women is not allowed in pool. Breakfast is very poor and the AC is very weak in the restaurant with a lot of flys inside. Rooms design is very bad, ex: toilet seat place is not fit so when you are seated your shoulder is hitting sink marble and your legs hitting the bathtub, there is only 1 electricity source for the refrigerator & lampshade & you have to choose one of them, curtains are very bad and hard to open.

They don't let you to satay late checkout although there is availability.

We stayed almost one hour to check in. Whenever complain they reply in a rude way that's our Management's policy. When giving the receptionist my review closed to be delivered to the Management he opened it and read it!!!!!!!

Review 75：Carpet need to be changed. Beach was small and was being prepared for summer season. Though most of the staff were warm and welcoming, we did face some frowns for no reasons. Might be they were having a bad day. Food in the restaurant is a little expensive. Fish meal was not as expected.

Review 77：i stay initially for 3 nights at the suite, then wanted to extend for two nights in a normal room. i was shifted to a very poor room beside the service staff. also, wanted to try the gym , it was for a daily fee, not included in the room rate , also very dark area, wet floor and old equipment...didnt use it. Also, the main swimming pool needs a side shower to allow residents coming form the sea side to take a shower and join the pool.

Review 81：The location is beautiful and nice, but the hotel is located inside a private complex with payable toll. You must pay a fee to enter every time or get a free "passcard" from the hotel. But the guys at the toll are crazy, you show proof that you are guest, like the room key, to then and it's not enough, they make you turn around, walk more to another gateway and claim for payment. And, the worst: they don't speak English! OMG! It's insane!

Review 83：staff was really rude, the system was down and we couldn't check in because they couldn't get info about the reservation. bathroom was really small, my husband is tall (184 cm) and his head was touching the ceiling. no bathrobe (although it's written that it's included in the room), and the safety deposit weren't working. The shower gel was already used, it was half empty. room door was really fragile, and could easily be broken.

The swimming pool in the penthouse is not worth the money...insects in the water, drain covers broken and dangerous looking. The dark marble stairway between the two rooms with no barrier around the pool meant that the adults had to be split between the rooms to ensure the boys didn't fall into the pool (in an open corridoor area between the rooms) due to the slippery floor. Water was FREEZING! Carpets really need washing. Room decor tired looking. Definitely not 5 star.

Review 95：We arrived extremely early in the morning with no warning to the hotel. The staff were extremely accommodating and we were served complimentary refreshments whilst our room was prepared. The room was very clean and I don't remember ever sleeping on such a comfortable bed in my life in fact both nights I slept for ten hours uninterrupted which I normally cannot do. We had a family room overlooking the fabulous pool area. Ideal for my ten year old son. Plenty of comfortable seating around the pool too. The delicious breakfast with lots of choices is served in the garden room which must be lovely in the summer months with all the flowers in bloom. I cannot recommend this hotel enough for its friendly helpful staff, cleanliness and value for money

Review 98：1) At my room the room heater was not working for two days in a so cold winter night and on the third day i had shifted to another room after complaining to the manager and reception for the same reason for many times. 2) Dont trust the staff if you book a taxi, I had booked the taxi by the staff to go around Alexandria and they charged me 500 EGP and paid the taxi driver 250 EGP rest had been swallowed by the staff. 3) The hotel was too far away from the city so that its not easy to roam around and get back to the hotel. Oneway it cost around 100EGP from the city and 220EGP from the airport, if you fight for a good bargain with the taxi people. 4) Please beware of the hidden charges while booking as they charge 26% extra to your bill as taxes at the end.

Review 104：The place hasn't been updated since maybe the 80's. There is no beach next to the resort (if you can call it that) as it is a place where they dump their building materials. They constantly have 80's love songs blasting all day long and well into the night (past 11 pm). The two times I took a shower the water cut out, as did the electricity on two days. The floors were completely filthy in the room and the bathroom is another story. A wedding started late at night, with little concern of other guests staying at the resort. Don't be fooled by the pics of the lobby and the pool which make the place look nice. Though beyond their control, the surrounding area is rather noisy and though next to the sea, the beach is farther away. It is rather far from down town Alex itself. Also be prepared to deal with the stray cats and dogs, with the dogs barking throughout the night. Not the worth the price you will pay. You can do a lot better.

Review 106：We waited alot for the check in about 2hrs! They said it is a sea view room while you can never see the sea from their rooms!

Review 107：Breakfast was good. When i complained about my room that it wasnot having a sea view as it was supposed to be they offered my a discount yet the room was still expensive relative to the quality they offer.

Review 108：I booked sea view room, however the room was not directly facing the sea, and they don't have better view rooms. The lighting inside the room was very poor. There's no corridor or even stairs to reach the sea, we had to jump and walk through dirty water to reach the sea, my husband fell down because of the unpaved beach.

Review 109：Location is good, cafe and playarea facing the sea, which was amazing Staff was very helpful, caring and always smiling. My accomodation was on BB basis, so I experienced only their breakfast which was really clean, lovely, alot of varieties, they maintain quality in every single item. We were a group of 3 families with kids and we all enjoyed our stay, this hotel is highly recommended for whomever wants to spend some quality time :)

Review 113：The location n Maamoura is wonderful. The swimming pool is clean and spacious. The breakfast has a good variety and taste good. The service is fast and accurate. I did my check in very fast as well as the check out. The private beach is great although we didn't swim but it is very quite and clean.

Review 116：We actually had booked the hot tub suite with private garden but unfortunately it was undergoing maintainence. The management saw our disappointment and upgraded us to the family suite with jacuzzi, superb customer relations from the on duty manager Mr Mohamed Saeed, it was a great experience. Staff were friendly and although the food was a bit pricey by local standards it was well worth it, succulent meats cooked on a bed of charcoal and a great traditional Egyptian rice 'Roz Moamer' poolside in the evening, followed by a hot jacuzzi in our bedroom, superb! Breakfast in the room next morning was equally satisfying with the hotel sparing no costs! Thankyou to all at the paradise hotel especially the manager Mohamed Saeed and very friendly policeman Ismail, a much needed winter break, we will be back! ,

Review 136：My booking was for 3 nights at bungalow room as shown in booking.com, but when we reached there the rooms were not as expected (poor and dirty) and I had to upgrade to a family suite and pay extra. the breakfast area is far from the rooms and when it is raining you will be fully wet before reaching it!!!! also the resturant ceiling is covered with metal (parka). it took them more than one hour to move the bags from room to room.
