Review 2：Great villas, large, clean, comfortable, great views. Pools lovely and food good. Own kitchen was great with little ones and playground lovely too. Review 5：The food was extremely mediocre, not what I would expect at a 5 star hotel - very limited menus, greasy sandwiches, poor quality. Check in was delayed over an hour despite us requesting an early check in. We were there for the new year's eve gala dinner and one of our party members is allergic to gluten and milk - which we informed the hotel about well in advance and several times before the evening. Her courses were served after we had finished ours for the first few, until we complained; then she was served something with cheese (unacceptable), and her main course consisted of roast pork with a handful of crisps on the side, even though the 'normal' dish was with potatoes which would have been fine. They really made her feel awkward and gave her very poor options. Again, not what we would expect at a 5 star hotel. They were also poor with calling taxis for us to head into town to find other restaurants. Gym equipment broken or missing. It doesn't really compare to other 5 star hotels at all.

Review 21：My only gripe, and it is a fairly big one for me, is the sleep quality. Given the high cost and star rating I was expecting a nice large bed to sleep in. Not so unfortunately! In both rooms we had two single beds pushed together which were not that comfortable at all.

Review 22：Can't really add much to what others have had to say. The villas are lovely. We had a 2 bed jacuzzi villa which was very well appointed. The sun beds were very comfortable and the jacuzzi was a welcome break from the sun during the day. There are plenty of good toiletries in the villas along with pool towels so no need to take any of that. 'Most' of the staff are wonderful. Especially front of house and porters. A couple of less friendly waiters but then they are working long hours doing a busy job! Think I would probably be the same! There is a little shop onsite that sells a lot of basics along with some nice wine, treats and champagne. The entertainment was some of the worst I've had the misfortune to see. Not that we were there for that but one to note in case 'you' are. Also, as many other reviewers have noted, food onsite is not great. Room service food was particularly bad. Take a 10 min walk to La Caletta and go to Rosso Sul Mare. Food, wine and service here are fantastic. Out of 7 nights we ate here 3 times. Overall a good stay. Villas are nice and views are amazing. Got discounted golf which was very nice. If you've booked I'm sure you'll have a lovely stay.

Review 23：Room had two floors so we had to run up and down the stairs and it was also very distant from the pool/reception area so it was a work out, no spa, gym a/c didn't work, location is a bit distant

Review 26：I booked this place as I only stayed at the Regency Country Club Apartments for two hours as it was so bad. When I arrived I was in awe - the staff were courteous, friendly, nothing was too much trouble, I was taken to my villa by golf buggy which was a lovely touch. The villa was immaculate and very well equipped, the pool was perfect and the view was beyond stunning! Breakfast was out of this world, everything you could ever want and more. The jug of freshly squeezed orange juice every morning was a lovely touch!

Review 29：We found this hotel online and booked and arrived 15 minutes later. When we pulled up we were already like WOW!! Staff were absolutely amazing, friendly and attentive nothing was too much trouble always smiling. The apartment deserved more than 5* it was more than perfect.

Review 47：Terrible food - it was SUCH a shame because it has the makings of a fabulous hotel - EVERYTHING is there to make it great, but the quality of food (particularly the pool bar) is honestly worse than MacDonalds - I ordered a chicken burger one day and it was a pink tinned piece of pressed chicken that was the colour of bacon, not chicken - it was dreadful processed rubbish. Such a shame as they have a captive audience (not really anywhere else to go unless you fancy a very steep hill walk of 10-15 mins) Breakfast was also a bit hit and miss, sometimes bread etc was plentiful and fresh, other times croissants etc were rock hard - not the best buffet we have had but it was survivable. We have just booked to on another mini break in June and would have gone back to this hotel had it not been for the lack of decent food - we have chosen to go elsewhere now.

Review 48：Villa was perfect for our needs - comfy beds, gorgeous bathrooms, bathrobes etc in the room, great outside space including our own loungers which was a lovely touch and very good for our baby. The staff at reception during check in where impeccable and room service was also quick and very efficient. Pool was clean and always had comfy cushioned beds available. Lovely fruit basket on arrival was a great touch and golf buggy to our villa with all our luggage made our arrival smooth and welcoming. Villa was ready early too which was fabulous as our baby was exhausted.

The food is overpriced for what you get - it's definitely not 5* food - shame as it has huge potential. Needs better vegetables and larger portions. Local restaurants are a better option.

The privacy and convenience of the villas beats any hotel and combined with all the great facilities and amenities of a 5 star resort (albeit a smaller, more personal one) makes this a lovely destination for anyone not up for the hustle and bustle of traditional sun holidays. Anyone w kids will appreciate the pools, playground, playroom, activities and general care for little ones. The breakfast buffet was large and varied and the evening restaurant service was fast and they made small portion 'real food' (ie not fried gunk) for our little one which she ate with glee. Friendly staff and super fast cleaning service!

Review 82：Poor or no internet connection either in the villas or public areas. Apparently, the hotel is supposed to be addressing this issue. Pool bar only opens 11am-4pm then you have to wait until 7pm for the main restaurant. No informal dinning for kids. Waiting staff are miserable and overstretched particularly at breakfast. Restaurant food is definitely not 5*. Pork with red onion comfit is basically pork and chips.Portions are tiny and don't come with a selection of veg. There's no pool service for drinks. There's no pool attendants so you have to sort your own bed cushions etc from a big cage. Life guard never spoke to anyone that we saw during our stay and often wasn't around. Kitchen facilities in the villas are minimal. 2 rings only. Very few utensils. Unless you just want to boil an egg and some pasta you'd struggle. Don't bank on the games room for your teens. All 4 seats were broken and remained broken for our 8-day stay.

Review 83：Villas are beautiful and views are great. Cleanliness is amazing. I don't know what they use but it smells gorgeous. The swimming pools are lovely and there's plenty of room for everyone. Champagne breakfasts. Cleaning and porter staff friendly and attentive. Local restaurants are good and plentiful, just 10 mins walk away. B, the children's entertainer was excellent.

Review 85：This was our second visit with children and grandchild and it was even better than the first. The villas are extremely comfortable, well equipped, quiet, clean and spacious. Staff are helpful, friendly and hard-working. Breakfasts were copious and excellent. A wonderful place to stay.

Review 86：There isn't much not to like with this hotel. Minor drawbacks are the location about 10 minutes walk to nearest bars and restaurants at La Caletta and a short taxi ride to the shops and main resort of Costa Adeje. Also the hotel bar and restaurant were quiet the evenings that we visited which was a pity because they are very high standard and in lovely surroundings. It probably reflects the quality of the accommodation that a lot of guests choose to remain in their villas in the evenings.

Review 87：Spent a week at Hotel Villa Maria with my partner and 2 children. We stayed in a 3 bed villa with a small private pool though we spent most of out time at the 2 main pools in the centre of the hotel grounds. Accomodation was spacious and very high standard. Our villa was immaculate clean when we arrived and kept that way by daily housekeeping. All of the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Our rate included breakfast which was superb, we had lunch at the pool bar most days, on the whole the food and service were very good and one night we had dinner in the restaurant and food was excellent.

Review 91：I got a bleach burn from the edge of the jacuzzi, 3 stripes that matched the plastic trim and the hotel really weren't interested. They wouldn't take responsibility, said it wasn't possible despite me showing them the injury. They didn't clean it after we old them and as they haven't taken it seriously I feel that other jacuzzis could have been cleaned with bleach too. I accept its not what should have happened but someone obviously took it upon themselves to try to clean the brown bits off with chemicals. The reaction of the hotel manager was really disappointing. They reluctantly agreed to not charge us for the jacuzzi as long as they could put a cover over it. I just hope no one else gets burned especially not a child.
