Review 1：The staff were great friendly and very helpful. The room was always clean and prepared. Not exactly what the website proposes but still nice. Comfortable bed clean towels hot water. Meals were above average and the coffee was terrific. Right in the heart of the Colonial district restaurants and nightlife all around. Too many beggars and scam artists but comes with the territory. Reserve your money for the wait staff at the local restaurants. They work hard and are very helpful.

Review 2：Toilets required removing the top to flush an stop water.The front desk help was preoccupied with his phone and never noticed me photographing him texting constantly. The refrigerators were frozen solid with ice obviously management needs to be awaken if it even exist.

Review 6：How come Igt there on the 26th at 3am thy wanna charge me for the 25th.didn't get it. Buthe the guy told me was 25th still. As far AS I know after 12 is next day. If not what's the point of asking what time customers will be arriving.

Review 7：Was kind of kind of confusing how I got there a 3am of the day of my reservation and they wanna charge me from the day before. Didn't understand that, unfortunately I was gonna stay for a week but we started with a wrong food since the biginning, love the maids so friendly and kind. At the front desk guy in the morning nice guy.

Review 8：I definitely was upset with the early checkin policy. I arrived at 1 and the front desk clerk said checkin was not available until 3 unless I wanted to pay $30. This is absurd and he would not provide wifi until checkin. This is an offensive policy and will not stay there again. What's worse is I explained my feelings to a staff manager and she said she was going to get back to me and she never did.

Review 14：There was nothing to see outdide the hotel..the streets were very dirty, everyone speaks nothing else but Spanish, we had big trouble with communication..and we did not like the capital at all!

Review 15：very little parking space for maximum of five cars. upon leaving the hotel on last day I noticed the hood of the car was keyed. (although) there was supposed to be 24 hour security. Fortunately, the car was insured for such damage.

Review 23：The staff was great except for that guy in the front desk manuel mena,he has such an ugly atitude, he is not helpful at all, doesnt know whathe is doing, he charged my credit card three times the amount, dont knowhow to use the verifone , doesnt know how to calculate the rate, manuelmena is the wors employee in the restaurant, he should be working in thesugar cane field because he doesnt have people skill. He mistreated usin such way that we got shock. Manuel mena is awful!!!

Review 27：the road outside was being dug up so we had to walk through a building site and jump up a three foot gap to get to the steps. also this meant that sitting outside the bar and talking was impossible. even inside the bar you could hear loud noise from machinery outside (not the hotels fault). the bedsheets also weren't exactly white with oil marks and wifi reception was patchy especially in rooms higher in the hotel. still a lovely hotel though!

So it was a relief when I got to my hotel and met the friendly staff who greeted me with smiles and the best apple champagne I have ever tasted. From where to eat to making sure you are super comfortable the team at hodelpa cater to your every need. I have been back four times this year already -if you want to feel safe and comfortable hodelpa is the place to be.

Review 36：I love the staff and how helpful they were. From the arrival point to the moment you leave you feel safe and I think when you travel to countries with language differences safety is paramount. I feel so comfortable and apart from the friendly staff the cleansiness of the hotel was refreshing. Whatever needs were they were met I have been there four times this year and I heading there again soon with a group of international performers. Go and enjoy :)

The room description said terrace with city views, but the only view was an abandoned building, trash and electrical wires. The bathroom and shower was the smallest I have ever seen in all of my travels! No wifi in the room and was reported several times with no fix. Many other good hotel options, stay somewhere else!

After 2 days of many problems, the manager did try to make it right after telling them I was checking out and going to another hotel. She offered a discount, on an upgraded room for the last night. In my opinion, the entire stay should have discounted with no wifi in the room as advertised.

The beautiful cathedral is 1 block away on the main plaza. I have been staying at the hotel every January for ten years as part of a working in country travel and I Lways feel like I am coming home!I would encourage anyone to reserve the breakfast served in the restaurant each morning with the hotel room. It has excellent coffe, juices, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, eggs, sausage, and a variety of breadstick in a sunny, comfortable area where on can relax with a view of the street, and plan one's adventures for the day.
