Reviews for Hotel Jardin Tropical

Review 1:No cross trainer in the gymnasium.

Review 2:We upgraded to a suite and it was excellent except the lack of maintainence to the bath which had not been flushed for months and was full of black mould in the jacuzzi pipework. However the staff soon put it right.(2 days). The breakfasts were probably the best we have experienced in an hotel such as this. One could not fault them. The first time I ( a retired butcher and farmer) have been offered fillet steak for breakfast at the buffet --- and carved fresh!!!

Review 3:great reception on arrival, really perfect breakfast every morning, great swimming pool, problems with internet immediately solved, everything is immediately solved when you have a problem, very friendly staff

Review 4:small room but we were on an exceptional deal and didn't spend much time inside as the weather was so hot. maybe hits the pricey level if paying full rates but it is an exceptional facility

Review 5:It ticked every box, helpful staff, good food, excellent facilities.....amazing pool and beach club area.

Review 6:very relaxing and every thing I needed excellent selection for breakfast.Amazing views over the sea on the top bar and great to watch the sun go down.

Review 7:This hotel gives you no value for money! we paid a lot and expected to get a good experience, bet ‎instead we got: ‎ A room with a view to another hotel The door to the room was right in front of the restaurant - we had noise all day - early morning, late ‎evening etc.‎ We had ants in the room! In the closet and in the bathroom! They walked on our stuff!‎ The hotel charges money about a lot of things. ‎ Even the nice beds near the pool you see in the pictures of the hotel - it costs a lot of money.‎ The hotel doesn't give shampoo, so we had to go and buy The hotel doesn't give a bottle of water to the rooms, so we had to go and buy bottels of water every ‎day and carry them to the room

Review 8:good location in Costa Adeje

Review 9:Some room facilities already need renovation and redecoration.

Review 10:Very kind and professional staff. Perfect restaurant with the wonderful sea-view and lovely food.

Review 11:None existent wifi, had to go to local bar for wifi Then downloads instant whereas yours even in reception was so poor. Have stayed in better in Tenerife.

Review 12:Good location

Review 13:So disappointed dated rooms no wifi in bedrooms inadequate information in bedrooms cracked tiles stained grout in bathrooms.

Review 14:Breakfast was good self service but for 340 per night not worth the money

Review 15:No allergy signs at breakfast. Food should be marked. Check E U rules regarding the above. My car was blocked in on departure, which took some time to be addressed.

Review 16:We enjoyed are stay in the hotel, spoilt a little by the two points I have noted.

Review 17:Bathroom looking a bit tired; would appreciate more sophisticated toiletries (shampoos, gels, body lotions, etc) in an otherwise top hotel.

Review 18:Friendly, very efficient staff in all areas. Excellent food beautifully presented and varied, especially breakfast. Spacious, well kept grounds so that could find quiet easily away from busy pool area.

Review 19:Roaches in the room and Staff not interested in resolving the problem. Sitting at the bar and geting served once after no waiter showed up again. Bill had to be brought to the bar to be paid.

Review 20:The Romantic restaurant was not very good compared to the other 2 restaurants. It struck us it either they put more effort into the place or close the concept

Review 21:Have been in Costa Adeje 4 times before so did not know of Jardin Tropical, but because the the couple we were surprising were there, that is why we went there and very delighted we made that choice

Review 22:Everything in the hotel was super all the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. we loved every minute, most excellent look forward to the next visit.

Review 23:Most of my stay

Review 24:Food was ok but found boring after a few days became tasteless staff serving good ' need a new entertainment manager as I stayed in one night to watch the Temptation Show and Abba tribute replaced with no notification to guests complained but no response much better food before new company tok over won't stay again as charges for all comfort such as the lounge beds on terrace robbery

Review 25:Having to leave at the end of our stay.

Review 26:Our second visit to this hotel and we enjoyed the same high standard of service and comfort as previously. This time we chose half board which was excellent with a wide variety of food to suit all tastes. The pool and garden areas are lovely. A great place to spend a holiday.

Review 27:The washrooms close to the spa had a bad smell

Review 28:Great location, very nice pools, good food in the hotel restaurants, lots of restaurants at good prices very close outside the property, great promenade that goes on for ever, it seems, to enjoy the view of the ocean.

Review 29:Housekeeping makes a lot of noise starting at 8am (shouting over the hallway, continuously bumping carts into something), so do not plan to sleep in. Reception staff said she could not solve this noise problem, alas. Also, the room was maintained badly: several wall outlets not working, shower hose half-torn, faucet broken, ANT NEST, Electricity distribution board failed and had to be replaced...2 times! Service solved most of these issues after I complained, but giving me a room in this condition is simply not acceptable for a 4-star hotel. On top, charging extra for using the room safe when you pay 120€ a night is a joke.

Review 30:The hotel itself is a beautiful building, extending all the way to the rocky coastline. Reception/bar/sport staff is friendly and professional. Location is very good, with excellent view on the sunset.

Review 31:Really very little to fault Possibly Wifi signal poor and requires logging in every time connection lost. Orange juice at breakfast. Yes I was struggling to find faults!

Review 32:Breakfast Hotel layout Well looked After Friendly staff Great location next to water Exclusive feel

Review 33:Very disappointing rooms & noise level was terrible in the mornings in room 279 due to us being next to service rooms, restaurant & gym so clanking bottles & trolleys being rattled over the tiled floors!

Review 34:Great breakfasts, lots of variety although often slow service getting tea/coffee delivered or actually getting a table set. The egg chef is a stand out star!

Review 35:Some renovation required in the rooms and swimming pool area. Sun bed reservation with towel, not allowed, is too much tolerated therefore no sun bed available after 9:30 am.

Review 36:garden is rwally very nice, personel professional and friendly

Review 37:Resort quite hilly but back hotel entrance from beach was helpful. Dark sandy beach. Double rooms have just 2 single beds.

Review 38:Requested high floor which was excellent choice. Good facilities as one would expect from a 4 star hotel. Bedroom issue sorted immediately after contacting reception. Nice entertainment in bar each night which did n't disturb sleep. Late breakfast at weekends.

Review 39:We had dinner in the restaurant on the coast. Food was nothing special. I loved starter - eggplant with pear and feta cheese. Keep it! But rest... Not worth it. Too expensive. location is nice for restaurant, but you can go just for the drink only.

Review 40:I like architecture of this hotel. That's why we started looking to book it. Staff polite and helpful (not in all cases, but it was fine). In the end of the day, we did not stay in hotel much.

Review 41:Checking in was a bit of a nightmare as we arrived at 11.30 which was early but we're told our room would be ready at 12.30. We went back at 1.30 and again were told to come back at 2 . The third time we went back were told it wouldn't be ready till 5pm! Would have preferred to have been told that the first time!

Review 42:Pool area was lovely and staff extremely helpful. Breakfast had an excellent choice of foods and again staff were very pleasant. Beach club was beautiful.

Review 43:- Stayed at 3rd floor near Mimosas dinning room and didn't sleep well because of the early/late prepare of the tables.I did notified reception about the problem and nothing has hapened (luckly we stayed only two nights) - A little too pricey

Review 44:- Hotel Architecture - Pool and inner yard - Pool/Private Beach near the ocean - Welcome with fruits/sweets and champagne - Very good food and service - Free parking

Review 45:Me and my partner have Just returned from jardin tropical, a fantastic chill out holiday!! Champagne on arrival, quick and smooth check in!! First impressions were great:) Lovely clean grounds with accomodating staff! Stayed on bed and breakfast basis- which was amazing lots of variety!! Pools were lovely again clean and well maintained grounds. Although we did not take our children this time we chked out the kids stuff, fAntastic games room, table tennis, pool and games also kids club and nintendo wii activity nights! Finally, Lovely resturants, close to beach and shops etc. we will be re booking next year :))

Review 46:Room allocated, small and overlooking skips. Many bad reviews of people getting the same room. To move you, they then want to charge you £350 to upgrade to larger room. Beware!!! 24 hour bar closes at 1pm and the staff make it obvious time to leave, throwing seat and table covers over your head. Not 5 star service by any means.

Review 47:Hotel good, nicely laid out. Some nice touches. Fantastic salt water pool with adult only area.

Review 48:the breakfast cuisine didn't differ from day to day on a 10 day trip wich is somewhat sad. The honeymoon compliment from the hotell staff was barely noticeable (in fact we were thirsty) but was perfect in time (we didn't ask for it on our first night when we were dead from the plane)

Review 49:Overall good service, all facilities worked as intended. No trouble with loud music in the eveneing so you can actualy enjoy your time. 8/10

Review 50:The room could do with a few toiletries. No proper shampoo was annoying! The pool has a lot of sunbeds and shades, but they are reserved from early on. The pool staff put cards down saying if the beds remains unoccupied for 1 hour towels would be removed, however they never are. On one busy day people couldn't find sunbeds but many were reserved for several hours. Pool staff should be much more proactive about this.

Review 51:A lovely hotel which is well maintained and kept very clean. It was our second visit, the first being about 10 years ago. It didn't disappoint. Breakfast excellent. Plenty of places to eat out at night very close by and a very reasonably priced resort.

Review 52:The rooms are not upto date and very poor conditions

Review 53:The pool side good

Review 54:Having to leave !

Review 55:A warm welcome , fantastic facilities , relaxing time spent in this fabulous hotel. Las. Rocas is fantastic !

Review 56:Slow wi-fi.

Review 57:Luxury complex diretly on the beach. Great heated pool.

Review 58:Music in quiet sun terrace

Review 59:Quiet, comfy bedroom, great choice of food, friendly/helpful staff, beautiful plants.

Review 60:I was in room 121 and it was very clean but had a damp feel because it was on the ground floor and no sun

Review 61:able to relax and very welcome staff

Review 62:Room was very basic- no tea or coffee making facilities, very small.

Review 63:Pool and breakfast was amazing

Review 64:Think that some faciliteis and rooms need redecoration and restoration .

Review 65:no WiFi in the bed room

Review 66:large room with balcony

Review 67:Internet was a general Internet and wasn't in the room.

Review 68:We liked the breakfast. Good and diverse range.

Review 69:coffee and orange juice horrible in the breakfast in bedroom

Review 70:staff, confort

Review 71:Bit pricey but wort it

Review 72:Facilties and staff service breakfast good

Review 73:Wifi is available only in the lobby, not in the room.

Review 74:It is very close to the sea and the beach. Nice food. Efficient staff.

Review 75:Excellent service, food and amenities.

Review 76:Breakfast was far to busy, not enough tables to sit at !!! Big queues if you were down from 8:30 - 10am !!

Review 77:No Salsa class this time? Need more sunbeds on the terraces overlooking the sea.

Review 78:Friendly staff, good buffets, lots of open spaces, light and airy.

Review 79:Can be noisy on a night time with the entertainment

Review 80:Hotel was really good, great food and great facilities

Review 81:Bed is very small.

Review 82:Food good but little inconsistent

Review 83:Great pool area with plenty of sunbeds

Review 84:Perfect! We were treated as kings, we loved the staff, the facilities, everything!

Review 85:Very slow WiFi, did not work from rooms.

Review 86:ideal location, next to the sea. Superb, posh facilities including private beach. Good breakfast, large room, friendly staff. In general a very good hotel and a highly recommended choice.

Review 87:Noise from adjoining streets and the hotel air conditioning was unavoidable.

Review 88:Excellent service. Very pleased to be asked what time I wanted my room cleaning. And my hire car was simply taken off my hands for the driver to return.

Review 89:I asked for a sea view room which we got but would have preferred a higher floor room with a better view

Review 90:The hotel has an excellent adults only area to relax and rates as one of the best areas I have ever been to sunbathe. The serving staff at the restaurant mimosa are second to none and a credit to the hotel.

Review 91:WiFI poor performance - new reception - after dinner recreation - rooms unchanged through years

Review 92:Architecture - Location (close to most shops) - friendlyness of personal

Review 93:Nothing

Review 94:One of the nicest and most relaxing hotels that we have stayed in Adeje, Tenerife and we have stayed at the Baha and Anthelia. Will definitely try and come back again later this year. Great hotel restaurants from the amazing El Patio to teh stunning Las Rocas.

Review 95:I would have liked a kiddies pool that was heated but that is me being a bit fussy.

Review 96:I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, location superb, hotel was very clean, breakfast fantastic choice, lovely pool and sun loungers very comfortable.

Review 97:Would have like more wide spread wifi access. Would have like more shops or at least a convience type store. Would have liked a room with a bit of a view I was on the main floor over looking the driveway. Would have liked the staff to provide more information about the local attractions.

Review 98:The hotel was beautiful. The food was very good. The staff were very nice. Access to getting a rental ar was great. The hotel was quiet. The pools were really nice. A lot of variety in the outdoor spaces.

Review 99:Top terrace now all pay beds Not enough sun beds if you get down to pool area late

Review 100:Lovely views Peaceful location Great breakfast choice Staff at breakfast

Review 101:1.The poor quality of the wi-fi system 2. The buffet restaurant was just ordinary, nothing to write home about.

Review 102:1.Very nice seating areas 2.The fish restaurant by the beach was excellent 3.the staff were very helpful 4.General ambience was really good

Review 103:- the rooms are a bit dated - a good 3 star rather than 4 -a very big hotel

Review 104:-Great outdoor area with amazing views and beautiful swimming pool -Very nice breakfast -24 gym

Review 105:older/senior clientele; dinner buffet not best quality; not fresh towels daily; area was cheap/mass tourism/tacky

Review 106:nicest hotel in the area; nice design in communal area; nice pools; friendly staff; Las Rocas restaurant decent but difficult to get a reservation; varied selection for breakfast

Review 107:Bed was worn out and linens had seen better days.

Review 108:Best and most varied buffet restaurant I've had. After a week of eating in the main restaurant I was happy to go back. Beautiful view of the ocean from the adult section and very nice pool facility.

Review 109:The room we had was a workmans or staff room for workers and we had cockroaches running round the room most of the night. My girlfriend refused to stay the distance and went home, I had paid up front with no chance of my money back and so had to endure the cockroaches

Review 110:The hotel is in good position

Review 111:We had no problems with our visit but we're not pressed by the local environs which has nothing to do with the Hotel.

Review 112:The ambience and friendliness of the staff were excellent.

Review 113:The restaurants? Well, you can get much better at some of the local restaurants and cheaper so worth eating out, But overall a great relaxing hotel.

Review 114:This was our fifth visit to Tenerife and stayed at good hotels but the Jardin topped them all especially for the stunning location.

Review 115:Room large and ok but not very special for the price

Review 116:Style of public areas very interesting and well maintained. Good pools, helpful, friendly staff. Quality entertainment in bar every evening with additional items at weekends. Only B&B but breakfast excellent although could be busy. Had one other meal in Los Rocas.

Review 117:Bath taps difficult to understand (result, cold shower on unprotected head!!!)

Review 118:The room (550) Breakfast The architecture of hotel The pool Restaurant Las Rocas

Review 119:prices of room and food/drinks. No English TV other than Sky News. view on balcony

Review 120:food, loungers and pool, gardens, vaiety of snack bars and restuarnats

Review 121:We did not like young children around 3-4 years old in the cocktail bar at night. When your paying £7 for a drink you definitely do not want a child with a computer sat next to you on a bar stool.

The worst hotel ever I met! Old and small room, old bathroom, no kettle and tea set, no Internet at the room, just at the lobby. Chargeable sunbed at Lounge terrace! The breakfast that we couldn't use (30 euro) hotel manager rudely refused to exchanged for an equivalent price lunch. The client's interest is not in the interests of the hotel! The price and the service does not match the quality!

Review 123:Отличный шведский стол на завтрак. Well buffet on breakfast

Review 124:Wi-fi is very poor. It is my first hotel where my iPad is not find a wi-fi. It worked only at the table of receptionist when I ask a help withWi-Fi connection.

Review 125:Wonderful trip! Very beautiful place, garden, architecture. It is greatthat owner try to create a dream, paradise, not only maximum effectivebusiness. Breakfast is very-very delicious and varied, hot pancakes andspecial omelette. Very helpful staff. Nice room. Good pool in thecentral area of hotel. The seawater pool in the rocks is really colderthan in ocean. Good public beach with black sand and cutwater is in 5-7min from the hotel. Spa is very nice too. Great experience! I took onlybreakfast. But the meal in numerous restaurants around the hotel is poorand not delicious.

Review 126:Don't choose room without view and not in the 1st floor. Boring within the hotel, so if you plan to go outside and spend time on the beach or somewhere else - this hotel is not for you. Not worth to pay the money for laying by the pool if ocean is out there. There is no beach next to hotel. We were disappointed with Las Rocas restaurant. Will not come back inspite of nice design.

Review 127:Nice view, super design of the hotel. Tasty breakfast.

Review 128:No immedicate access to beach/ocean for swimming but saltwater pool compensates for this.

Review 129:Significant-sized swimming pool-complex with preponderance of lounge-chairs. Varied garden-design offering multitude of different seating areas depending on your preference. The saltwater swimming pool and garden/pool club built into the rock and overlooking the ocean is stunning.

Review 130:No coffee making facilities in bedroom (spent a small fortune on coffee!). We booked a garden facing bedroom. Whilst ok - they were not indicative on the contemporary design and luxury of the hotel. And the bedroom overlooked directly onto shops/restaurant. Felt we were in the poor man's side of hotel!

Review 131:Breakfast was plentiful and extremely good quality. The public outdoor terraces were fantastic as well as the pool area. Overall, a beautiful hotel, very lush and beautifully lit at night.

Review 132:well if i really have to be whiny i'd say the internet is not that fast, but seriously who needs internet in paradise unless you're on a businesstrip?

Review 133:the architecture, the most impressive breakfast buffet we have seen in our lives, the stunning pool and garden, the loungebar on top looking over the sea and the island La Gomera, the restaurant down next to the sea, the very professional and polite staff... beautiful rooms. this hotel is the absolute best and will give you value for your money... finally a classy hotel that doesnt look like one of the many ugly all-ins you find everywhere around

Review 134:The staff effieciency was low - I asked for an iron/ironing board 3 times over a 12 hr period and never receieved it

Review 135:The vista was incredible Reception area was beautifully designed The bedroom was clean and comfortable with great towles, bedding, dressing gown available The pool area was great and really inviting The staff were very accomodating and engaging

Review 136:Wi fi execrable, the room per night a little bite expensive, but definitly worth it.

Review 137:I realy enjoyed the arhitecture, the inside court, the restaurants, breakfast, pools, amplasment, services... We were on our honey moon and they offered us a free diner at Las Rocas, and the room was very nice.

Review 138:The only one issue was that my partner didn't bring any trousers with him but was smartly dressed but we couldn't go to any restaurants on site apart from the beach club with the man giving us an exception. He also made us feel a bit awkward about it as well . This would have been a problem if it wasn't for the amount of restaurants that you could walk to.

Review 139:The little extras being the beach towel a day , champagne on entry , customer service absolutely superb !
