Reviews for Hotel Hahnmühle 1323
Review 1:Breakfast was rather crowded on New Years Day. Water temperature was a little variable in the shower.
Review 2:Beautiful old building. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Gluten-free bread and rice milk were provided for myself (coeliac) and my partner (vegan) as requested.
Review 3:The bathroom (no place to put the make-up or others personnal objects). The breakfast with not enough choice seemed to come from the "Lidl" around the corner, and we had to wait a long time in the hall because of not enough place in the breakfast room. The price is too much expensive for the service.
Review 4:The bedroom very comfortable .Close to the festival Scloß Coburg
Review 5:1. no-one there on arrival. the PIN code they had given me didn't work , indeed not for 3 others too. After 1 hour they turned up and let us in. 2. Room dusty. 3. late after midnight loud music cming from nearby heighbours. 4. This hotel at €89 was double price! 5. They try to manage the hotel with no-one there. Would recommend taking them off your list
Review 6:nothing much
Review 7:No bad experience. We arrived late, so the key was waiting in a key safe, all perfectly organized, though one does miss the personal greeting somewhat. It is about a ten minute walk to the old town.
Review 8:A beautiful double room nicely furnished, modern yet with respect to the very old building, well designed, fun to be in. Beams on the ceiling, heated towel rack, just right. Friendly greeting in the morning, an excellent breakfast with local cheeses and all one could want. Great coffee! Many tips from the owner/manager (?) about what to do or see. Hotel own parking across the street. Lovely stay.
Review 9:The keycode provided by email to obtain the room key was wrong, but we were quickly given the correct number by calling the telephone number provided
Review 10:The comfort of the room and the friendliness of the staff
Review 11:No bad experiences at all. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 12:It's a very nice hotel, not far from the central market, but it is relying on its reputation for "old" to price itself considerably above the competition.
Review 13:The hotel was in a great location, just a short walk to town and Schloss Ehrenburg. Beautifully renovated and spotlessly clean. We were given very helpful advice on where to go, where to eat, etc. Breakfast was superb. Could not fault anything!
Review 14:Our room faced the "all-night" bar which we heard all night. Walls a bit thin as we found out at 5AM our "neighbor" came in from the all-night bar...
Review 15:Wonderful staff! Parking just outside front door. Perfectly cooked (medium) eggs at breakfast. Bathroom clean and large.
Review 16:We were there from Friday to Sunday in mid July. The hotel is located directly in front of a cinema and a night bar, where plenty of people gathered and made noise throughout the whole night so we could not keep the windows open. The room heated up fairly quickly and became very stuffy, which made it impossible to sleep properly. The staff tried to resolve this by giving us a fan for the second night, which somewhat lessened the problem but we still did not get a full night's sleep. If an AC were added, this would become a highly rated accommodation worthy of a recommendation.
Review 17:The hotel is very near the centre of Coburg, the room was spacious, with a large bathroom and a very good shower. Good internet connection (beware - only wired connection is available) and free parking for hotel guests near by. Very clear instructions on how to get the key from the safe, which allows for flexible check-in. The staff were very sympathetic with our sleeping problem and tried to help to the best of their ability.
Review 18:The front desk was only open between 8am and 1pm- if you arrived later, or had to book out earlier, you had to get in contact with one of the workers, and getting a hold of them was sometimes difficult.
Review 19:Staff was friendly and very helpful, room was very clean and had an "at home" feeling to it. Hotel was positioned in a very local area- lots of access to places like the theater, restaurants and small shops. Was also a 3 minute walk away from the train station, for those who are overnighting amidst their travels.
Review 20:house with a history, good location, very friendly staff
Review 21:Room very basic. No accessible wifi in the entire building.
Review 22:Location, look and feel
Review 23:nothing
Review 24:all was OK
Review 25:You need wi fi
Review 26:Location,friendly staff, good breakfast
Review 27:Our guest and Business colleague, joing us at breakfast, was NOT allowed by the receptionist to use the WC! Very hard to believe in the 21st century.
Review 28:Very helpful staff. Hotel is an atmospheric historical building. Breakfast was good, and the whole hotel was very clean.
Review 29:Fantastic historical building right in the centre of town. The breakfast was varied and the staff excellent with convenient parking next to the hotel near the cinema. Would stay here again if in Coburg.
Review 30:No wi-fi, and I was travelling with a tablet computer that wouldn't take the internet cable in the room. I'd not realised that breakfasts were charged separately, so was surprised to see that on my bill. Reviewing the listing on the Booking.com site, as well as the Hotel's own website, I don't see it listed as costing extra. Of course I also don't see it listed as included so I should have asked.
Review 31:Bright, cozy and quiet hotel in an historic building, with some quirks remaining in the public areas, despite a pretty thorough upgrading. Very convenient to the centre (5 minutes walk) but also very quiet, for a good night's sleep. The woman who runs it is very friendly and helpful. Free hotel parking was useful.
Review 32:staircase not good for infirm or doddery old folks ! no wheel chair access bed room ok - shower very small - and the mattress in 'our' room was 'finished' - large body holes and unable to sleep 'straight' without rolling into partners space !!!
Review 33:breakfast ok - no fuss reception - ok. parking good location to town good clean light and airy and a charming old building
Review 34:very poor breakfast nothing warm as a meal in the morning.
Review 35:very nice renovated hotel with own spirit, close distance to very good restaurants in the town. Parking near by.
Review 36:Immaculate and impeccable service in quite the most extraordinary hotel: the newly renovated historic building is almost 700 years old. Staff have a tremendous zeal to make everything "just right" and will take utmost time and effort to do this - with a smile! The location is wonderful for travel by foot, rail or car: the town centre is barely 5 minutes walk. The accommodation was luxurious and the breakfasts terrific. I cannot recommend this hotel too highly: it is a triumph of style, substance and service in every respect.
Review 37:Rooms have been renovated beautifully. Good location. Owners should consider putting a small fan into rooms so that on hot days the air can move a bit. Also, until they do serve Breakfast, let guests know that there is a nice bakery across the road.
Review 38:this hotel is just working for about a month so the breakfast room isn´t ready yet, but no problem to walk a few meters to a café. We enjoyed our stay. Easy parking. Walking distance to palace and Veste (castle).
Review 39:Perfect location, beautiful house and very welcoming staff
Review 40:The arrival system. The breakfast
Review 41:The ambiance of the hotel.
Review 42:No possibility of breakfast, no air conditioning.
Review 43:It is really nicely renovated.
