Review 3：The Hotel is centrally located on the Market Square in the Center of the Altstadt. My room was very spacious, very comfortable, very large bathroom. I arrived late and a gift of water bottles and fruit was waiting for me in my room. I had asked for a quiet room, and it was wonderful - the windows even had the external Rolladen.
Review 4：Perfect location. Excellent mattress and pillows, cofortable sofas, plenty of cupboard space. Quiet and secure. Well equipped kitchen is well provided with tea, coffee and sugar. Bakery on the ground floor and a supermarket close by. We had Room 11 overlooking the square and it was just right.
Review 5：Not really a "dislike" for us, but because the hotel is located in a pedestrian zone, it's difficult to reach by car. Free parking is available off-site, but it's a short walk away (5-10 min).

Review 7：Maybe I expected too much: ‘Hotel The Square’ evokes an idea of a modern boutique style hotel. Actually, it is an old building with a few rooms on the first, second and third floors. And no lift ... Also, at my time of arrival (20:00 hrs), there was nobody at reception to perhaps assist. Perhaps it would be more honest to advertise this property as ‘Apartments on the square’ - or ‘Rooms on the square’ ...
Review 8：The location is optimal, on the quaint market square, downtown. Parking in walking distance in a newly redone parking garage with lots of space.
Review 9：Unfortunately the mail with the code to get the hotel key was only send on the very day of arrival. As I left home at 4.00 in the morning to get my plane, I never saw that mail until I returned back home - when I no longer needed it. It would be much nicer to get the mail with the key code one or two days in advance.
Review 10：I enjoyed the localization very much. It is quite easy to get to the hotel and one is in the very heart of the town. Although there is not always someone at the hotel, you can get your key very easily. The hotel is very simple, but confortable and clean. The personal is very nice, although a little loud in the morning.

There was a fresh apple and bottle of water on the table. breakfast not in the hotel but I went down to the bakery, got myself a cappuccino and bread/butter/marmelade, walked back to my room and had lovely breakfast without disturbances. as a lonely traveller I enjoyed it more than having to face business groups around the buffet. very easy check-in and check-out. friendly contact with the owner. the location is stunning and everything else fits too.

Review 18：We wanted a European experience .. And we got it!! Room was like a small apartment and was perfect for our 21 day stay. Very quiet and Monika our hostess was very helpful as were her girls. Rooms were very clean... Was surprised to find out that the bathroom had been redone 5 years before... It looked like a new bathroom!!! Groceries nearby and used the kitchen regularly... Loved the location... Close to everything!! We were treated very well and enjoyed the bakery downstairs!! Would definitely stay there again !!
Review 19：A bit too much self-service, although my collegues took care of that and it worked, we were not really prepared that the checing in etc was so simple - but it worked OK after our intial suprise and confusion. Not sure why, but I did not have the wi-fi work - not urgent for me at this stay, but could have been annoying

Review 47：The Square Coburg is in a wonderful location - right on the corner of the main square. We were there during the Weihnachtsmarkt and we had an amazing view from our room. Everything you need is within walking distance and the bäckerei below it is very handy. We were travelling with my sister and her husband and we were given rooms beside one another and direct access to a kitchen, which was great. Be sure to go to Münchner Hofbräu for lunch or dinner - great atmosphere. Monika was delightful. We will be back.
Review 48：Since I didn't get the e-mail explaining how to access the key etc, it was weird to arrive and no one was there. Fortunately the lady in the bakery knew how it worked and helped me out. I went to the info office and they were helpful in making a call to the manager. We met her the next day and she was very nice.

Handy Car Park on the other side of the Markt with just 1.50€ overnight rate. Good breakfast in cafe on the Markt. Secure if anonymous system for delivering hotel & room key in the evening.
Review 55：Even though Coburg is a hidden gem under the historical German towns& beautifully preserved & restored with lots to see, goodrestaurats &C. There has been no acceptable hotel/b&b is thecenter (which is where you want to stay) - so The Square finally filledthat gap with spacious, no frills but also no eyesore designed rooms,good beds & sheets & very friendly staff.
