Review 1：We send special requests, never got an answer ! Matress was smaller than bed and of terrible quality. The shower we had to fix ourselves, we even bought screws, and had to tie the shower head with a towel to be able to get a bit of water on our bodies. Air conditioning sounds like an airplane engine.At breakfast(included) you can only get eggs if you give a tip. Unfriendly waiters. We made a reservation for a week and ended up leaving after 2 days

Review 3：The bed are so uncomfortable and old. They need to replace the bedroom set and the bathroom is old, the shower everything. Pretty this hotel is so old they need to upgrade everything. Breakfast was horrible they have a list to count how many people to serve when it's supposed to be buffet style, you could not serve yourself they had to serve you. Horrible

Review 5：Very noisy hotel, couldn't sleep at all. Tossed and turned until 6 am as I listened to people coming and going all night outside in the parking lot below my room. There is a disco on the premises that is open to 5 am and although I was in a room far away from the noise of the music I still couldn't sleep due to the sound of people talking loudly outside ALL NIGHT LONG.
Review 6：My suite was very uncomfortable. I notified the hotel staff and management who said they would fix the problem but they never did nor the they seem to care about my problems.

Review 8：I find the front desk staff severely lacking in personality, and having little or no flexibility. I guess they just follow the rules, but they make little effort to concern themselves with the needs of the customer.
Review 9：I like the location. It is within walking distance to restaurants, the Monument, and downtown. The bellman, Francisco, is a wealth of information (in several languages). He is the main reason I have stayed there 4 times.

The hotel allows people to hang out in the parking late at night which I couldn't sleep because of all the loud noise. Horriable place do not recommend this to anyone. To top it off I checked out earlier and they want to charge me over $300.00 dollars pently fee which I am disputing it.

It is a hotel with a lot of history and a lot of potential to be a beautiful hotel, however at this moment its far from that. Reception staff slow and dont look profesional, room very noisy, there was a party downstairs and went on till late night, 3AM. We ask for a quite room, but was not quite. Curtains dont block the sunlight. Painting work bad, super old TV, bad decoration, shower clean but old, shower head broken. Total hotel has no abiance. Pool was empty and it looks like it was empty for a while..... Location is very nice. For the coffee facilities in the room you need to pay!

The hotel is historical and the rooms are name by commanders n capitals etc from a civil fight... breakfast was included which was just enough to start ur day.. I would definitely stay again..

Review 110：Hotel had been remodeled since 1998, when I last visited it. Room was clean, the furnishings were up to date and the air conditioning worked great. Breakfast was a true Dominican treat and included in room price. It is a short walk to calle del sol, the main shopping area and even closer to the monument. Excellent for the money.

Thankfully that kind ofthing doesn't bother me, so I was able to get some sleep, but ifyou are a sleep, I would not recommend staying here, or at least makesure that your room is in a quieter area. My room, which was thefurthest down the hall, was 235, if that helps anyone in making abooking away from 235!

They said they knew nothing of that and insisted on charging me again. I decided to check out of that hotel. I found another hotel the Aloha. That's where I stayed and I had to pay more but I was very disappointed with having to find and then move to another hotel.

Review 128：It was VERY noisy being over the nightclub. Make sure you get the other side. Also, the street noise was bad (also same side as the nightclub). Had a young sports team staying there that got a little loud in the hall (not really any more than the club). Asked for them to quiet down around 02:00 or 03:00. Did for a while but drinking with young ones involved. Did not last long. Good deal. Overall... would probably stay again now that I know more about the hotel. It is a good deal.
Review 129：The staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Wifi available but in a certain area. There was a pool and little mart if you go down two sets of stairs, past the casino and nightclub, down the hall (did not find that out until I was leaving).
