Reviews for Adrián Hoteles Roca Nivaria
Review 1:The staff are very focused on the older clients and anyone that is under 35 looks out of place. The location isn't great if you want a change of scenery. The night time entertainment is not great unless your over 70 years of age.
Review 2:The hotel at all inclusive is excellent. It's a lovely place to stay and from 8am too 8pm is perfect and you really wouldn't need to leave however the evening entertainment is solely for people over 70 in our opinion and its clear from early in our holiday that the staff are focused more on this client group. The vicinity of the hotel is a building site with 2/3 pubs within walking distance.
Review 3:In the room next to us someone smoked in the night a couple of times, think they might separate smoking and non-smoking ppl better.
Review 4:Big room (35m2) with a balcon.Very good service throughout, excellent food, lots of seafood, great grill, fruits, deserts etc.We were with a 4 yo son, he enjoyed both kids pool and the main heated pool, I heard swimming lessons for kids were great but we didnt take them; playroom and small playground with access through main restaurant meant we had time to sit and enjoy the food while he was playing with other kids there, good minidisco. There were lots of senior people, think given there was another pool area and adult only zone in the restaurant and overall quiet tone of the hotel all looked happy, met a woman in her 70s(?) Who said she was there for the 22nd time. 15 min and around 15 euros by taxi to playa del duque, sandy beach and shopping centre, around 20-25 to Las Americas, 10 min to La Caleta with famous fish restaurants. Nice promenade just around hotel, but nothing otherwise, but if one hire a car this doesnt matter much.
Review 5:Wifi very unreliable.
Review 6:Excellent room with sea view overlooking garden and coast. Great variety of food and good quality. The archery, pool tables, heated pool, beach and shuttle service to Playa del Duque.
Review 7:Do not take a room on the bottom floor (eg 002) unless you want to walk out to grass, have kids and to be close walking distance to pool. Room was large but area had feeling of being in a turtle aquarium (sub-terrainian). You might prefer room with view of coast or swimming pool.
Review 8:Pool area, breakfast and diversity of facilities - all very clean and pleasant staff.
Review 9:Good value deal. Our second visit. It's a nice hotel if somewhat lower in standard to the superb Jardines de Nivaria. Both are 5star but this difference is reflected in the price. We were happy to to back once more.
Review 10:The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly. There is entertainment for the children and a kids club which is open from 10 to 6 and is free. There is live music every night and live show.
Review 11:not in adeje as advertised.needs a revamp.went all inc.couldnt get served by staff.left unattended in restaurant.night entertainment poor.minibar no alcholic drink new years eve entertainment excellent.not a lot around hotel area.
Review 12:plenty of sunbeds.pool great.daytime food excellent.heated pool.free towels by pool.
Review 13:Only the location was a problem, the shuttle bus was helpful but the area around the hotel was quite run down.
Review 14:The food was excellent, there were two restaurants in addition to the buffet which were worth trying for a change. We used the organised activities a few times, they were great fun.
Review 15:This is the second time we have visited this hotel we found the food to be first class and the staff very helpfull hotel very clean good entertainment genuine 5star
Review 16:UPS AND DOWNS: Food Breakfast is nice and big as expected from a 5* hotel. However, we found the spanish ham (jamón serrano) and cheese (manchego) insipid. Simple things like the crepes were hard on the edges! The cava was quite nice though. Buffet lunch was quite cheap (cold buffet with fish and meat and dessert for 11€ or hot and cold for 18€) but drinks are fairly pricy as expected (cocktails were resonably priced at 6.75€ though). The quality of the food was not great. BAD: There is no kettle in your room and they charge you 15€ for a tea set! (Pic attached). They also charge you for a bucket of ice. The minibar is also blocked so you cannot use the fridge unless you buy a "minibar package". I understand that arcillary revenue is huge in the travel industry. However, complementary kettle and tea is standard in many 3* hotel so I find it is ridiculous to be charged (and this much!) in a 5* hotel. Hotel structure is weird. It kind of funnels down towards the sea instead of expanding. That, alongside the palm trees, makes a lot of shade around the pool and restricts the views to the sea. The rooms are big and decent but it doesn't feel luxurious or 5* standard. The beds and pillow are not good at all!
Review 17:GOOD: Free upgrade to a room with a balcony and lovely views to the sea in the last floor! Defineteky enjoyed that big terrace with a couple of sunbeds. Staff was kind and correct all the time. Didn't go the extra mile but were nice. It was fairly cheap for a 5* hotel given that we went in late December (peak season) Several options for sunbathing. You can be in the packed area by the main swimmingpool listening to the aquaerobics or you can be in a small calmed garden by the sea with plenty of space and few people. All in all, the hotel is ok but there are better 5* hotels in the island for the same price or a bit more. I am afraid I will not return.
Review 18:Very disappointing that the smoke from the balcony's of neighbours gets into your room. The hotel should make a smoking- and a non smoking section for smoking outside on the balcony's.
Review 19:Nice room and good breakfast.
Review 20:It's setting was out of town so had to travel into town everyday A lot of building work going on next door
Review 21:Well looked after , great food and relaxing experience
Review 22:Only one cockroach on the floor at the badroom. But I've solved it. :-)
Review 23:I got a free upgarde from two double room to a suite. Everything was perfect. Variety of food, good internet connection, nice pools.
Review 24:Nothing, it was a perfect stay and we can't wait to go back!!!!!
Review 25:The location was superb and the staff were all so nice and welcoming especially to our daughter.
Review 26:Nothing
Review 27:Great room lovely views of sea, great kids club taking our 2 year old for free which no other hotels seem to do at this young age, meant we could play tennis enjoy the sea etc child free!
Review 28:Excellent hotel in all respects. Staff wonderful. Situated in a quiet area, but if you want typical Tenerife, bus takes you to sister hotel at Fanabe.Buffet sumptuous
Review 29:Huge building project underway across the road which resulted in construction noise. The resort is a little run down but looks like it is being developed. This didn't spoil our holiday though as the hotel more than makes up for any negatives.
Review 30:Food was outstanding. Heated outdoor pool a real asset and very pleasant.
Review 31:The salt water pool was fantastically warm - but my children would have preferred the chlorine pool to be warmer.
Review 32:Fantastic food and buffets. The pools were brilliant and we always got sun beds. Staff were charming with our young children.
Review 33:Only minor points, but worth noting Shower temperature kept switching from hot to cold in bathroom Would have been nice to have a mattress on the sun loungers Not enough drawers for your clothes in the bedroom - 3 small ones is not enough for 2 ladies!! Would have been nice to have the chiller in the room a bit colder and not have to pay just to store water in it The two restaurants - Spanish and Italian have exactly the same food, the choice when we ate was limited and the food was disappointing
Review 34:Fab location, room with a fantastic view over the sea, swimming pool excellent and plenty of sun loungers Great setting for breakfast with views over the sea
Review 35:Food is not at all 5* quality. For the buffet in the evening you have to choose what is proposed by the chief (two main dishes and two desserts, otherwise it's not better that what you can find in a supermarket).
Review 36:Big room with sea view. It was perfect to observe the sunset. the hotel propose lot of activities that are really great and a wonderful sets of swimming pools with sea view !!
Review 37:We did not like sleeping on 2 twin beds pushed together. Hotel should offer more options for food with better hours, and something without a dress code at dinner. Spa mani and pedi was awful, service was mediocre. Suggest building a better playground area for kids outside of daycare.
Review 38:Loved daycare and the staff in that area, thank you! Rooms were nice and had great views.
Review 39:The beds were a bit hard & pillows were to high or not very comfortable. Entertainment was poor & would have been nice if had gone on for 30-60 minutes longer.
Review 40:Amazing hotel! We had a beautiful time! Staff were very friendly & helpful! Lovely spa facilities & had a couples massage which was very relaxing! Highly recommend this hotel!
Review 41:the bed was not really a double, just two beds put together.
Review 42:Baby club and mini disco were amazing, our baby (15 months) really enjoyed it. The food was very good, plenty of choice in the buffet.
Review 43:location, too much cloudy everyday, in while at 5 km was sunny, (Adeje)
Review 44:Amazing landscape, great pool, wi-fi very good (high floor, the device was close) buffet dinner, big parking
Review 45:Overall our experience was good so these issues were less important. The wifi was sometimes not reachable from places in the resort and sometimes not possible to even connect. Asked for adjacent rooms before arriving but the property wouldn't commit to this request which left us with some uncertainty before our arrival. On the first night we were placed in rooms which were right next to the evening entertainment area, but we were moved the next day to a quieter spot with adjacent rooms which we very much appreciated. They also charged for some things which we thought they shouldn't. Drinks with dinner/lunch were not included in the half board price though maybe this is normal, and there was only one bottle of drinking water provided in the room during the entire stay despite the tap water not being drinkable. Also they charged €2 for a bucket of ice. Hotel parking was not so easy to access.
Review 46:Lots to like. Great hotel. great views. nice pool areas. My 8 year old daughter had lots of fun with the kids club and other activities, and the evening entertainment most nights was good. All in all we enjoyed a very nice relaxing stay here.
Review 47:Location isn't ideal but luckily we hired a car
Review 48:Just come back from two weeks holiday which was made special by the staff of the hotel. The service especially Victor's team of waiters was exceptional, their friendly attitude and kindness we have never seen before together with lovely food which is far superior to lots of restaurants, especially if you are looking for local cusine. It was very well suited for babies and children too. The hotel was clean, rooms very lovely with comfortable beds and a great heated pool. We loved the place and the people. Definitely will be returning soon!
Review 49:Only negative was the amount of closed restaurants & shops in the area. It didn't bother us though.
Review 50:Great hotel with wonderful staff & facilities.
Review 51:We spent our honeymoon at Roca Nivaria and we are absolutely delighted with how everything was! All the staff we met was super attentive, friendly and polite. We enjoyed every meal at the hotel and just loved the sea view from our room. Roca Nivaria is a quiet place perfectly designed to relax and enjoy a peaceful holiday. The territory is green and full of beautiful plants. The place definitely worth visiting!
Review 52:The choice of restaurants close by isn't great and the food in the hotel (especially for lunch) is average enough - breakfast is good though.
Review 53:Loved the saltwater pool and the spa, the view from the balcony was fantastic, really friendly and helpful staff, wifi worked well.
Review 54:The shuttle on the last day was full - the only complaint would have been they maybe should've called through and asked or arranged for the bigger coach as it was the day of the market and there were quite a few other couples who had to catch the bus opposite the hotel as a result. The entertainment was a bit outdated and could've been a lot better. The acoustic night was great and the Breakdancers/Acrobatics was fantastic - the other nights were very boring. Just being critical as we absolutely loved staying at this beautiful hotel.
Review 55:Loved the place - the free shuttle bus was a great plus to staying here as it is someway from the main area in the south. Loved the pools and that we could change from buffet to restaurant each night. Staff were fantastic and helped whenever we needed it - particularly Kelly who helped us when we needed it. The food was great and great choices each day and night. They did their best to make sure myself and my husband had an amazing stay and birthday!!!!! Thank you!!!
Review 56:Not exactly a big deal but the hotel was so big that we often gotlost haha. While the WIFI access was everywhere in the hotel, it's connection was intermittent due to the sheer number of people using it.
Review 57:Two fantastic pools (one salted and one is not) and a jacuzzi. The buffet breakfasts/dinners were delicious; we stuffed ourselves silly. Friendly staff
Review 58:location is not so good, at the tip of a remote point, just nothing to do around. Or you rent a car, or you stay inside the walls. No way to sleep late. While the room soundproofing is very good, the service is very noisy, dragging furnitures all around. Why? An early swim may turn to be uncomfortable as you have to share the pool with the service which clean the place. The "beach" is inexistant, small and the look is dirty. Wifi is bumpy and just dead slow. Better to forget about it and concentrate on the pool.
Review 59:While off industrial origine, the food is well presented. The view is very pleasant. A clear effort on the night animations. The service at the restaurant is present and strong, it's better to let them pass if you are on their way! Prepare yourself to pay for anything extra, even around the pool where the individual canopies cost in between 60 to 95€. Only the towels are include... Odd management choices. We didn't understood the high score of this hotel compare to some others on the islands.
Review 60:-far from everything -non working internet(even when extra router was brought -coffee on breakfast was pure nightmare both from pot and from coffee mashin Everything is good and clean, but its more 4* hotel .
Review 61:swimming pool
Review 62:- not much to do round the hotel - wifi not great. V slow so have a backup on your own phone
Review 63:- amazing dinner menu - great facilities for children - big junior suite and friendly attentive staff - top class spa
Review 64:Slightly slow service, but only once or twice, otherwise everything was excellent
Review 65:Great hotel and all facilities. Swimming pools outside with sea water - very nice! SPA is excellent, food is great.
Review 66:Older kids had a room a long way away Fridge was locked - why if we have to pay so much? Wellness centre was closed because of storm damage (but we did get a discount and they were very good about it)
Review 67:Great food offering Kids Club Huge range of facilities 2 swimming pools - salt and fresh water Location Immaculate gardens
Review 68:every morning before 9am the cleaners went into overdrive pulling beds and chairs around the rooms above us and next to us,that sound of wooden chairs and tables being dragged around in that fashion really did put us off ever staying there again,,we were exhausted at the end of the holiday and is such a pity,,being forced to spend 10 euro on 6 bottles of water to open the fridge for the week is a joke,,no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, thats a first for us in a "5" star hotel,,deposit for kettle, and i think it was 15 euro for tea,and 20 for coffee, whats that about,,,,area around the hotel is on its last legs, closed business's everywhere,,walk down the hill about 100 yards for a very nice italian restaurant, very cheap but tasty,, go up the hill if you want the opposite,,,all in all,the hotel almost got it right,,but this type of penny pinching is wrong,,and no,we wont stay at any of your sister hotels,,surely their ethos would be the same..........
Review 69:the sea view, the breakfasts, staff, cleanliness, the rooms, sun loungers on balcony is a nice touch,
Review 70:To use the fridge you have to buy water inside... Very strange approach.
Review 71:Swimming pool with warmed up sea water. View from the room at a same time on Teide and Ocean.
Review 72:Too large part of the terrace for smokers
Review 73:Luxury facilities like lovely 28 degrees salt water pool, large balcony with sunbeds, super buffet restaurants with daily variation
Review 74:Being charged & highly, for drinking water! Your Spanish Restaurant no advance on Buffet. Area of Restaurants and shops outside low grade.
Review 75:Pools, Grounds and staff. Best hotel we have experienced in a long time
Review 76:Italian restaurant did not match the standard of the main buffet, would not bother again. Mini bar was confusing for all inclusive, a member of staff in the main bar said we could request anything we liked but we discovered on check out we were charged for it, rather misinformed .
Review 77:Beautiful hotel set in a quiet location, the staff make this a fantastic hotel with their warm hospitality and attentive service. The room was extremely comfortable and kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping team . The food was superb, breakfast was gorgeous with a huge range of food, the lunch buffet was simpler fare but perfectly fine considering what a huge breakfast we had. Dinner was a feast of beautifully prepared food, fresh cooked food and stunning desserts. Eating outside was much more atmospheric and staff were delightful, looking after us so well. Pools are beautiful and clean, good activities for older children. An outstanding stay, we will definitely return!
Review 78:WiFi connection works but is very slow (not ideal if you have to work from remote). I knew this in advance and I brought my own WiFi router from home.
Review 79:Almost everything from staff, facilities, cleanliness, food and comfort for a family with a 6-months old baby
Review 80:Not a lot to complain about. That said I was only there for a long week-end and didn't venture outside of the complex much
Review 81:Everything - staff, the amazing heated (perfect temperature at end of Jan) infinity pool, delicious varied food, cava served with breakfast, lots of space in the room, mega-clean. On our last day we were offered a courtesy room after check out as our flight out was late in the afternoon. That way we spent most of our last day in the Jacuzzi and not in the car. We loved it!
Review 82:Room was spacious but dark . Daylight was good enough but in night room light was not enough . We found it dark. And the decor of room n hotel corridor was not impressive as u expect in 5 star.
Review 83:I like the staff . They were quite friendly. Room service was good . Pool n other facilities were nice as well. Overall good place to stay.
Review 84:However, although the food looked good, on tasting it, it often disappointed. I would rather less choice but a higher standard of ingredients, especially with regard to desserts.
Review 85:Excellent choice of food. The freshly done meet and fish was a winner.
Review 86:On arrival in our hire car, it was quite confusing as to where the carpark was. Both times we approached the hotel's main concourse we were directed away by a concierge who's directions weren't very clear. He also didn't make it clear that we would need a card to access the carpark. It was just lucky that we happened to come across another resident entering the carpark at the same time as us and were able to gain access. When we got to reception, the staff seemed surprised to see us approach from the lifts rather than the front door. All very confusing. There have been previous comments about a lack of tea making facilities and having to pay to gain access to the minibar. Because of our young daughter we needed access to both in order to prepare and store her feeds. We pre-empted the kettle issue by bringing our own travel kettle, but we were told in order to use the fridge we would have to spend a minimum of €10.25 on a package of water. With rates of over €200 a night for a room and having explained that we only needed access in order to feed our daughter, I found this quite petty.
Review 87:The hotel grounds and facilities are amazing. We didn't go all inclusive, but if you did, I can't imagine there being any need to leave the resort at all. We had our 11 month old daughter with us and were grateful to be upgraded to a Junior Suite where we had a lovely walled terrace very close to the reception and bar areas of the hotel. We were able to sunbathe on the terrace during the day while our daughter lounged in the shade of the wall. We were also able to hear the entertainment at night sitting on our terrace while our daughter slept. The buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner were amazing. You couldn't think of anything that they didn't have for the breakfast buffet and it was always very well stocked. As we were on a B&B rate we only had the lunch and dinner buffets twice each time. We found we enjoyed the lunch buffet more. There wasn't as much choice but it was more our kind of food. Our flights home were in the evening time and with a small baby we were concerned as to how we would spend our last few hours in Tenerife. The hotel were kind enough to give us access to an apartment room for an hour before we departed so that we could feed our little girl and get organised for our journey to the airport.
Review 88:Wifi and/or Internet does not work mostly. At least it fails to work in the room completely. Signal strength at room terrace is only 50%.Wifi credentials expire in 5-7 days (as was said on reception desk) but you are not notified about this initially. This should be improved and the client should not bother.Has dumb problems as many other 5 star hotels don’t have. This was suggested by many other reviewers.Routine work starts at around 7am. Looks like you are not supposed to sleep at this time in this area. Sometimes simply requires to close the doors to balcony because you can’t sleep because of the noise otherwise. No heating in the rooms or it simply does not work. Might be useful during the winter period though.Far from everything though this may be as a plus if you don’t mind driving at least 10 minutes to other beaches/areas.No fridge as default option in the room where you can put own beverages e.g. rare beer you’ve bought in supermarket.Too many things you need to pay for. Why not simply opening mini-bar by default and allow few beverages for free and others for additional fee? Then cleaning service brings in the receipt the next day which you should sign so you approve this will go to your account. No one wants to bother that much with reception desk.Questionnaire that we did on one of the evenings at Verona restaurant didn’t help a lot in resolving problems we’ve specified e.g. with bad Wifi signal. As of 2014 an older furniture, bath appliances.I think I saw fungus in the bathroom. At least it looks like that. Cleaning staff does not fix this or does not know what it is. No one managed even to at least cover up (paint?) the problem somehow.Limited beer at dinner, no dark beer.Breakfast in Garou: No mango fruit at the breakfast. Only cheap papaya which we find completely untasty.Breakfast in Garou: Melon is not tasty as it should be.We find default pillows to be not very good.
Review 89:Good, gentle, friendly and peaceful guests with happy faces - mostly from Great Britain, Germany. Champagne, fruits, sweets, flowers, rose leaves when you have some occasion and celebrate something. Elevator to the nearby tiny beach. Rooms on zero floor (0xx) have bigger terrace (around 30 square meters), view on the pool and onto the ocean. Rooms on the higher floors (4xx, 5xx etc.) have much smaller balcony (around 10 square meters) but may have a better view to the ocean. Decide what you would like more and request on reception desk or during booking.
Review 90:We are very happy we chosen this hotel for our honeymoon holidays. Room was cosy and clean. Staff was very friendly and polite. Food was amazing. Beautiful swimming pool with good atmosphere. Only best words about this hotel. Recommend this hotel for your holidays.
Review 91:Locked minibar policy, In double room there was two separate beds put together instead of one doublebed
Review 92:Almost everything- staff, breakfest, good pools, wiews to the ocean, comfortable car parking
Review 93:No complaints whatsoever about this great hotel. However, if you wanted to leave it, there is very little option for quality dining locally.
Review 94:The hotel was spotless throughout our stay, despite it being very busy. The many staff are consistently excellent - friendly and helpful. The hotel is very well managed and organised, particularly the fabulous buffet breakfast and dinner service, with the largest array of food offers I have seen in any hotel I have stayed in anywhere in the world. The gift from the owners left in our room on new year's eve was a really nice, personal touch.
Review 95:Wifi can be a bit patchy in the rooms. We would recommend having a hire car, in case you want to get canarian food. There isn't much in the area around the hotel.
Review 96:We stayed at the Roca Nivaria one week during December. It's a great hotel in a beautiful location (right at the shore and with view of La Gomera) and very calm setting and atmosphere. The staff were fabulous, always friendly and helpful (even free spanish lessons at breakfast from Genoveva). Rooms are spacious and clean. We got upgraded to seaview, which was great: sunsets over La Gomera. There was also free wifi and parking. All in all, we would certainly come back.
Review 97:didn't love the food or drinks
Review 98:heated salt pool with infinity views free and flexible kids club huge family suite with cot on wheels and sun-filled balcony not being there during peak season relaxed no rules vibe supermarket on the doorstep
Review 99:Not even close to the quality that should be expected at a 5-star hotel. They charge for absolutely everything - a bottle of water, kettle and tea bags (not provided in the room), I even got charged 2.50eur for borrowing (!) a wine opener!!! Wi-fi dramatically poor, attitude of reception/ spa staff not acceptable. They are impolite, barely speak English and the words like 'I am sorry', 'Thank you' do not exist in their vocabulary. Spa treatments ok but be careful as some therapists smoke during the treatment, so not great having a facial done by someone whose fingers smell of nicotine! Will not be back and do not recommend.
Review 100:Ocean views, nice/ good variety of food - although they use far too much salt so be careful if you are on a low salt/ low potassium diet, pool restaurant staff very attentive - thank you Benita and Genovefa!
Review 101:Surrounding area not particularly attractive although I imagine if you wanted either clubs or prettier coastal villages then they were close by in a car. WiFi could not keep up with a full hotel requirement.
Review 102:Pool and view of the sea and Gomera were great. Staff were very helpful and wanting to assist. Always something to do if you wanted to use the hotels facilities.
Review 103:Hotel is a little isolated and there is no easy access along the coastline to nearby towns. Paying for access to a small fridge and for a kettle seems not right when the room price is not cheap. BUT - these are minor gripes in relation to overall experience.
Review 104:Hotel and its immediate grounds/pools. Quality and quantity (range of choice) of food. Friendliness of all staff - reception, room maids, restaurant staff. Cava with breakfast excellent.
Review 105:The toileteries were basic for a 5* hotel. The in-house Spanish and Italian restaurants served standard menu.We did not feel like going back to the restaurants as the buffet dinner was far better. The gym equipment needs changing as some of them were creaking.
Review 106:We stayed at the hotel for a week. The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were excellent, with indoor activities, evening entertainment. The buffet dinner offered choice and quality. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it
Review 107:The dining was a little daunting to begin with but once we got to grips with the vast amounts on offer, we really enjoyed our al fresco dining experience.
Review 108:The attentive staff, large spacious rooms, heated pools, play areas, child friendly dining, stunning views, away from the crowds and easy travel distance from the airport. We would definitely return.
Review 109:The lunch buffet had limited choice despite there being show cooking. Fish featured highly as you would expect. However I am not a great fan of seafood.Resorted to eating from the children's section of burger, pasta etc...This was okay but a bit cold and became repetitive after a few days. The soup was always a safe bet.
Review 110:We had lovely sea view room and it was very spacious and spotless. The public areas were also very clean and well maintained. The staff seemed genuinely happy and motivated. The all-inclusive was excellent. The cocktails were made using European spirits and the bar staff took great pride in their work.Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of hot and cold foods.Great pastries and the Cava was a nice treat to start the day. We had a very relaxing and comfortable holiday.Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return. This is a first for us after staying at numerous hotels across Europe.
Review 111:Location is very poorBuffet food not great/ bland Somewhat difficult to get served - we were half board and it felt that as an all inclusive the staff were perhaps not as willing as they might be to come round and ask if we would like a drink Given the cost of the hotel, its is a bit tight fisted on certain things - e.g. their policy of not providing a kettle in the room unless you purchase the kettle package is ridiculous , having to unlock the minibar by pre-paying EUR50, games of pool costing money, etc Poor wifi signal in the room/ very slow wifi speeds Uncomfortable bed
Review 112:Rooms cant be faulted - spacious, clean, well equipped, etcHotel itself is nice, modern and clean Outside space was great, including really nice pools and a great kids pool area Really friendly staff Well set up for small children - great mini-club/ kids club, special area for kids at dinner, mini-disco in the evening
Review 113:Overall we were extreme satisfied with the hotel. Only minor recommendation would be to make the menu in the 2 additional restaurants (especially the italian place) a bit more attractive. The food selection and quality cannot keep up with the standard evening restaurant Garoe.
Review 114:First of all, the staff was very well-skilled, extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very varied, nothing missing. Evening buffet was high quality with freshly prepared fish and meat. Wine list also had some tastful canarian wines. We got upgraded to a better room that was very spacious, including great bathroom facilities, a large terrace with sun beds and beautiful view of the ocean. Swimming pool area was neatly set-up with lots of palm trees and also great view of the ocean.
Review 115:Location of hotel - poor quality choice of restaurants/bars close to hotel Strange rules: 1. Antiseptic gel by hotel restaurant with sign recommending you clean your hands before you enter 2. Sign by hotel mini-golf advising you can only use if you have a golf handicap 3. Lots of signs around the hotel stating a dress policy for dinner. Slow internet Smelly bathroom due to poor cventilation of air (we were in a seaview suite.
Review 116:Staff were attentive and hardworking
Review 117:- Not much around the hotel - A bit disappointed with the food. Being in a spanish island we were expecting more spanish food. We went to the Burgos restaurant which was supposed to be spanish but it turned out to be Italian food. We found a nice cafe/restaurant called Lino's cafe that we would definitely recommend, delicious homemade food and tapas - Wifi not working very well from the room - Free parking is very limited and quite narrow to get in, so do not use a big car
Review 118:- Staff very friendly - Very clean - Facilities - Amazing view from the room - Size of the room - Very good value for money
Review 119:The first impression is very bad at the reception, the girl didn't gave us a proper direction to the car park. She didn't mentioned the room was not ready by the time we check-in and insisted us to move our car to the car park first without giving us any key to our room. When we come back from the car park asked for the key, she gave us a voucher(NOT THE KEY), told us to go for a lunch. Is that what she means the room not ready??? Why she couldn't say it to us straight away instead of trying to hide? It's so unprofessional when you work at the front desk in a five star hotel
Review 120:The garden and the pools are really 10 out of 10. It's like living in the dream.
Review 121:Loud banging in the mornings woke me up so had to call reception!! Had to change room because no sea view as promised. Was made wait three hours. Cockroach in room on 5th floor runied my sleep for the night. Would not return for free!!!! Disaster
Review 122:My invoice said I would have 2 sea view rooms overlooking the atlantic but discovered upon arrival one was sea view and the other was standard for which I had to pay an additional supplement of 170 euros to upgrade to sea view.
Review 123:The only problem was the wifi in the room
Review 124:The best hotel in tenerife! We celebrated our honeymoon and found the room with roses, chocolates, fruits and drinks and everything was perfect! Amazing breakfast and dinner with great food, very friendly staff and service , great view from the pools and lots of facilities in the hotel like tennis, basketball, spa, beautiful private beach with direct access through elevator but without sunbeds ...We didn't want to leave
Review 125:The a la carte restaurants didn't seem that interesting and we ended up at the buffet every night. Perhaps it served as a quiet retreat for those without kids...
Review 126:This was the fourteenth place we stayed at in the course of our four month trip around Europe and probably the best value for money we have experienced. The rates were very reasonable compared with other 5 star hotels i the area and the room was nice and spacious with nice little patio with sea view. With 2 kids (ages 5 and 1) we found hotel was within easy reach of water parks and the jungle park for the kids, beaches and shopping. Good on-site activities for the kids, with playroom off the main dining area, mini-disco, kids club and baby club. Nightly entertainment inside and out. The pools were nice and warm. Half board was enough eating for us and the occasional expense for drinks or snack didn't really necessitate the full board option for us.
Review 127:Location - a bit far way from everything.
Review 128:Very nice facilities. Amazing breakfast - choice is massive. Cozy rooms with lots of space, and some with a very nice sea view.
Review 129:It's was amazing to be in the hotel.I really liked everything about it.
Review 130:Fantastic food, weather, staff - everything.
Review 131:sea view
Review 132:Many people, including our children, had food poisoning.
Review 133:Big room. Very nice staff. Great outdoor heated salt water pool. Very clean.
Review 134:Staff very helpful & cheerful
Review 135:staff really friendly and helpful. excellent rooms and facillities.
Review 136:No iron or kettle in our room this would not happen in 5 star hotel in Europe
Review 137:Food and pool
