Review 3：We have been booking this hotel for the last 4 years when we go to the Capital. It is in the historic area, great people to look after you, and close to every thing by cheap taxi.

No window in the room is not acceptable! They couldn't move me as they were fully booked. Fortunately I booked 1 night only in this hotel. Je n'arrive pas a croire que l'on puisse mettre des chambres sans fenetred a disposition. Inadmissible!

Review 10：Rooms need an update. Tiles were buckling off the wall in the bathroom. There was a loud compressor cycling on/off outside the building continuously that made it impossible to sleep. We had 2 rooms and it was a problem for both. We asked to be moved the second day.

Review 16：It wasnt so much a bad expérience as a learning experience for my first trip : I reserved a room with a balcony... But it was situated right above the main entrance and on a busy street during Holidays season. It was hard to sleep with all the noises and partying outside.

Review 18：the rooms are positively cavernous, with one-square-foot windows (if any), situated 6 feet from the floor --which turns out to be a blessing because of loud discos in the area. The four of us could not get an extra pillow (on the grounds that we already had four pillows). It took four tries to get more than two towels. Pillows uncomfortable, beds squeaky, sheets stained or dirty. Rooms utterly unattractive except for old tiled floors. Staff grouchy and unhelpful. Fourth floor terrace has high walls, so no view. Just baking in the hot sun. Breakfast awful. Unimpressed to the max.

Review 20：Safe in closet did not work, shower head could use replacing or cleaning, no stopper for sink drain, tile floor corridors are pretty but noisy, you can hear every room receiving a wakeup call. No outside window.

Review 22：The room had very small window to the outside and no natural light, and the AC wasn't working. In addition, there was no more water coming out just as I finished showering. Concerning the restaurant, I had to choose between bananas and vegetables when ordering a steak, which I very much disliked, and it definitely isn't a standard requirement. Finally, I had selected the option "shuttle service to airport" when searching for hotels on Booking.com, and it turned out that it did not have a shuttle service.

Review 26：I noticed a number of reviews complaining about noise. Yes, it is noisy but this isn't really a hotel issue. As with a number of cities in Latin America, it can be quite noisy with a street facing room in the busy centers and you should expect that. Santo Domingo is also a little pricey when it comes to traveling in Latin America.

Review 28：Unfortunately we didnt get the room we booked with booking.com (according to the staff it was unavailable even we've got our reservation confirmed). Our room was inside the building -very dark, because of a very small window we almost had no day light.

We chose one, while they were still cleaning and waited to be ready. When finally was we went in, just to find the floor still dirty, with actual food and other shoe's left dirt from the prior guests. We brought this to the attention of the staff. A cleaning lady came with a wet mop to clean the floor. No sweeping , no vacuuming, just a wet mop. imagine how we felt about walking in that floor without shoes. Old bathtub, running toilet, cracked tiles. I don't know, just not very good. Thank God we had reserved just one day.

Review 42：oh where do I start... This hotels needs a mejor furniture update. The beds are the worse. The sheets are yellowish and look dirty. The beds make squeaky noise VERY BAD. The floors at times seems full of dusk. The bathroom looks like a very cheap motel at best. The AC just makes lots of noise and does not cool the room (at least the one I was in). The noise level from the street is just too much for a hotel. You can hear people talking and cars passing by... it is just horrible. The continental breakfast is ok.

Review 44：A fair price and an excellent location should be no excuse for leaving aside what could make the difference between this hotel and the many more located within the same area: If increasing a little bit the price, would mean having a decent breakfast, a terrace which actually has a view, wifi and a/c that actually works without interruption, cleaner rooms (that definitely could use some refreshing for some and .. a window for other!) and a parking area... there is no doubt one would be willing to pay the "extra" cost. It is a pity all this is left aside when the location is so central.

Review 72：They are going through a manager change, they are 3-4 star hotel and they act like it is a 5 star, one desk clerk tells you one thing, another tells you something different. I don't believe I will go back. The roads in the area are all under construction, very dirty around the area and loud.

The place in my opiion looks awful for an hotel that cost 79 dollars with taxes the AC did not work in the first room changed room the AC Jn the second room worked but was making noises I don't think they changed the sheets on the bed or they are not washed properly there was hairs on the sheet when I pulled the comforter The towels looks like they have been in used since the early nineties the hall ways look old and dirty this is more a motel and I have been to motels that are way better If the owners of this hotel fixe it properly I will definitely recommend and stay there myself again and again but until then I can find much better hotels for the same price or a mere 20 dollars more

Review 79：The staff was very kind and friendly from the moment my husband and I entered the hotel. We were kindly greeted with a fruit drink. Excellent service and food. Though not much of a varierty in menu, but food was excellent. The room is small, but very clean as well as the bed is made nice and clean bathroom.

The bathroom sink leaked into the toilet paper, the bathtub water backed up during showering, the door handle of the bathroom did not lock and came came off in my hand, there was no towels we had to ask for them, and there is no iron or hair dryer. We arrived very late at night and only wanted peace and quiet so we could sleep to catch an early flight, which I thought we would get since there was no one around in or outside the hotel. However, the staff decides to turn on the radio loudly. This is about 12 am. I wanted to get up and complained but I knew I wasn't going to be nice so we just turned on the air conditioning unit to muffle the noise. It was definitely not worth the money we paid. We NEVER plan to stay there again.
