Review 4：We were supposed to stay for 2 weeks but I had a death in my family and had to return 1 week earlier. The Hotel waived the charges for the second week, not expected but very much appreciated. Truly great service!

Review 9：Our disappointments were the room, which felt as though it should have had a good steam cleaner go over the floors, in particular the bathroom which was marble and stained, the floor tiles and were grouting was horrible and very dated. Left-hand basin didn't hold water. The patio door didn't fit, the frame, only way you could lock was to tilt it. The fridge outer door did not fit properly to the degree that the actual fridge door, was open and it had been open for some time as the heat from the bulb had distorted the plastic surrounding it, (fire hazard) The right hand wardrobe had electrical feedback coming back into the light when the door was shut (fire hazard) only noticeable at night. The middle terrace pool only had easy entry at two places at one end of the pool and only an upright ladder at the other end which is not very easy to pull yourself up onto. the pool umbrellas need to be replaced most were damaged and were too small. The sun beds were very old with most of them looking quite shabby with the plastic binding having been just cut off the arms or legs or both. and a lot of the mattress covers needed replacing as they were threadbare. Basically lots of very simple things that should not have been in such bad repair especially for a 5 star hotel charging such a high price. Would we go back , yes would love to, but only after a refurbishment

Review 10：The Hotel itself was fantastic, the concept of eating in different restaurants was great and you did feel special at each one. the gardens and the outside areas were lovely and very clean. this is a very nice Hotel

Review 11：Probably chose the wrong week to go as school holiday week and had to be at pool by 7am to secure any sunbeds! Queue for breakfast. Felt the food on site was a little disappointing in the evenings and lunch very expensive for toasted sandwiches etc.

Review 15：I booked a superior sea view room, but the view was not great. We had a view to buildings all around with a gap of view towards a marina and some water. Room small and dark. Hotel was huge and not easy to find your way around. I stayed at the Mirador last time, and I will stay there again next time, it is a fantastic hotel and the view amazing.

All additional service is ONLY for additional payment (it's weird for "luxury" hotel, as they call themselves).

Review 23：We had the most amazing time at the Bahia, it was probably one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at! Right from our arrival, from friendliness of the reception staff to the cooks at the restaurant, our stay could not have been better. This is the most outstanding attribute of the hotel, that is its customer focused staff, a credit to themselves and the hotel. We have two older children and both were kept occupied by the facilities at the hotel and the readily available water sports on the beach, the choice of dining was great too. There is renovation going on, and this is the only thing this hotel needs improving. Definitely going back!

Review 24：Self service buffet had long wait for cooked items.Poor choice of salads. People reserving beds by the pool. The surface around the pool is hard to walk on and uneven. The noise from building work,despite being told by Booking.com that there wasn't any. The room cleaning and replacing items used was not good.

The resort has a lot within it which makes life easy if you want to try different cuisines. Beach is right there and there's a nearby promenade which is nice at sunset. The spa was great as well, definitely worth doing. Probably the best thing: the breakfast buffet! So much choice and a great way to start the day.

Review 46：The food (in the Asian restaurant) was not what we expected ... we thought the red & green curry's would be Thai, but they were nothing like a Thai curry. We expected the Spa Cafe to have lovely freshly cooked meals & juices, but we were told this was all prepared the night before & not there & then. There was limited choice for vegetarians. Overall, we expected more from what was meant to be 'five star', compared to what we have experienced around the world. I would rate the food as 'three star'.

Review 48：We did have a bad experience in Spa Restuarant - las Aquas - PR lady in charge that night was very rude and unprofessional . We didn't end up eating dinner there Management did sort it out but not a very nice experience . Others on holiday had similiar experience so obviously a problem there .

Review 50：Tiny issue but left a bad taste in the mouth - unfortunately we were misquoted the cost of a babysitter so our one night out ended up costing double what we'd expected. Hotel wouldn't budge on price after which felt petty considering this is an expensive holiday. Not a big issue but just one we felt the hotel should have simply swallowed.

The resort is so well set up with multiple pools and places to sit so we could move around to be in the sun / shade / quiet area / with noisier kids - whatever suited at that moment.

Review 55：This is the 3rd time in a year we have visited this hotel. We find all the staff from receptionist to the pool attendants all very friendly & helpful. The food in the restaurants is of a high standard. The cleanliness & maintenance of the property is also of a high standard. The hotel is over 20 yrs old & is not as modern as some of the newer hotels but I think this character adds to it's rustic charm.

Review 67：Grounds , gardens and pools with secure access to the promenade between La Caleta and the busy resorts of Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas . Lots of comfortable loungers scattered around extensive gardens and multiple pools serviced by bars and restaurants . Perfect ! Excellent breakfast with every type of breakfast available on a buffet , never a queue and always fresh and high quality . Dinner buffet was equally good and dinner in the speciality restaurants just as good . All staff , from reception to pool attendants to bar staff aim to please . Bathroom/ bedroom was large and well equipped . This is my best Adeje holiday and in future this is the only place I will stay !

Review 85：Food in the hotel was hot an miss. we had terrible burgers and the poolside restaurant and the worst meal I had was in the Hacienda. Fajitas, just not good and I am being very fair. I loved the location of the Hacienda though on the promenade. At the prices it should be better. The beach club had the best food of the restaurants we tried, but is pricey.

Review 86：Our bedroom was amazing, the view etc was beautiful. The location is in my opinion the best in the area with a beautiful beach and promenade not remotely tacky. Hotel facilities and kids pool were fab with 2 heated pools for the kids and 3 freshwater ones.

Review 87：Conference delegates mixing in with Holiday guests - it just doesn't work and it is disappointing to see such an otherwise excellent hotel trying to manage to distinct groups of guests in the same hotel. Hotel facilities are very spread out and initially it is difficult to get your bearings as to where everything is. Food is ok but I guess there isn't really much really excellent restaurants anywhere in the Canaries. It is expensive e.g. £10 for a G&T Entertainment is mostly mediocre

Review 96：Beautifully kept grounds in great location just perfect if you want or are in need of a restful holiday. No need to leave the resort so it makes for a very easy holiday... Great selection of resturants to choose from for lunch and evening meal. Lovely kiddie pool with surrounding sun loungers for parents beside one of the larger pools and sun bathing areas I would imagine it would be perfect. Great Spa even if you don't care for a treatment you can access the spa with its facilities for €35 (I think) Church 10 mins walk away in la Caleta if you want Mass on Sunday. All in all a perfect escape to recharge the batteries.

Review 99：The price virtually doubles from the 27th December to the 2nd January which I really struggle to see how they justify but there were plenty of people who clearly thought nothing of this. La Hacienda restaurant is very average, Brochetta was dry and over cooked. Rooms are not that large but are ok and very well equipped.

Review 103：overcharging for drinks in bars guests need to point to the drink they want as we were charged £35 for one Bombay gin & a vodka & tonics barman gave us the most expensive gin which we did not ask for. Not much choice of starters I asked for prawns or smoked salmon but had to wait till next evening. Not even an egg mayonnaise. Maybe November is not a good time as they were preparing for Xmas & hotel was half empty so not much effort put in. I had a superior room & ocean view was great, but room needs updating & was quite small, apart from that is was enjoyable

Review 104：very polite staff & very efficient & aim to please, grounds are beautiful the duck lake is fab & is not in any other hotel. Food was good but not 5 star standard. There are lots & lots of steps both inside & outside hotel glad I am not disabled. Hotel is great for chilling out, very quiet it is good for us because we lead a very busy lifestyle. Entertainment at night very good & very classy no karaoke or using guests to entertain people like in most hotels. No all inclusive or guests falling around drunk. We would go back again for sure. tables in dining room are excellently laid out & not on top of each other like most places.

Review 106：room areas could be better signposted. Staying there alone with my two adult Inlaws staying close by, but was not allowed to invite them in for coffee or a drink. Spoke with duty manager and felt she was very unfriendly in explaining the policy of the hotel in that if the hotel is fully booked, no one, other than guests may enter the hotel. This I can appreciate but felt very embarrassed on behalf of my Inlaws who had actually come to the entrance of hotel to welcome me and were told they were not allowed enter despite a request from me, as a paying guest to at least let them wait in the foyer. She then relented and said if I gave the exact time and date, I could invite them in for a visit, which didn't happen.

Review 107：Beautiful grounds if you don't mind the different levels. Just ate breakfast there which was excellent. The restaurant and ground staff were very nice and helpful. Spotless clean.

Review 119：Main hotel felt dated, infrastructure tired - our room had electrical problems, lights fusing on day 1, flickering when fan turned on day 3 and air-con noisy on day 4. All addressed in turn by maintenance but indicative of systemic problems I fear. Room walls seemed very thin for a 5 star hotel - when the next door neighbour coughed it sounded as though they were in the same room…. There are 5 pools but the bottom largest pool was not that warm and saltwater. During the busy half term week the sun loungers were very busy.
