Reviews for Aparthaus Sonnenhof
Review 1:The owner, Margreiter is very accessible and very kind. Apartment is very spacious, clean and has a gorgeous view. Close of restaurants, bike rental and supermarket. Love it!
Review 2:Everything is amazing
Review 3:Everything is amazing location, very clean rooms. Amazing owner and very helpful. One of the most beautiful places to stay in Alpbach. Equipped with everything you might need. For sure we will come back. Thanks Margrita for your amazing hospitality
Review 4:a guide on how to use the oven would be useful unless we just didnt find it!
Review 5:Owner very friendly/helpful. Very spacious flat with nice seating on balcony though the weather didnt allow us to use it much! Good large bathroom and plenty of storage in bedroom
Review 6:Nothing.
Review 7:Couldn't fault the 2 bedroom apartment we were in which was only a short 3 minute walk from the Main Street in Alpbach. The owner Margaret was very helpful in getting us settled in. A Very well appointed apartment throughout with along with clothes washing and drying facility downstairs. From our second floor we had a stunning view over the valley. We would love to come back in the winter with friends. Highly recommend this apartment.
Review 8:After long thinking, a cant find any negatives except the vacation is over:)
Review 9:Helpfull friendly staff, clean spacious apartement, nice bedrooms, sunny living room and balcony, clean and large bathrooms.
Review 10:Very clean, spacious apartment with everything you need for a week in Alpbach. Margaret, who runs Sonnenhof, is just lovely and very helpful. Sonnenhof is just a 3 min walk down the hill to the town centre (and 3 mins back uphill at the end of long days with a pushchair). Great for our 3yr old and 6 month old.
Review 11:The location is very good, host-family is extremely friendly and willing to help. The appts are very clean convinient and furnished with love!)) Thank you Margrit and Hubert for the great week in Alpbach!!
Review 12:- no breakfast, but we found a delicious spot called Cafe Genuss which was only a short drive away - would highly recommend this spot, one of the best breakfasts we have ever had, was €15 per person for the buffet
Review 13:- friendly staff - beautiful view from the spacious room - parking included - Great restaurant called Flo's just a short walk away - had great fun tobogganing down Reither Kogel Panoramic Trail - highly recommend doing this!
Review 14:Very uncomfortable, chopped foam pillows. Location up very steep hill and a bit of a trek from ski bus in ski boots and carrying skis. 35 euro cleaning fee demanded at end of stay should be included in price of accommodation . No guest information whatsoever. No provisions at start of stay even though supermarket closed until 2pm next day. No shower curtain in bathroom with over bath shower. The worst experience, intolerable noise from other apartments ( there are 8 in all in the building ).
Review 15:Space and cleanliness. Nice view over the village.
Review 16:Nothing really other than the apartment having an odd floor plan. The toilet was pretty distant from the sink and shower.
Review 17:Spacious with everything a family needs for a holiday.
Review 18:The location was near the village but up a very steep road. Not ideal without a car.
Review 19:Really friendly family run house. Good sized and very clean apartments.
Review 20:Small beds blunkets, later opening of the skiing season, difficult to find first time, no sponge, no soap on the kitchen, but supermarket is very close.
Review 21:Comfy beds, big cosy kitchen, view, spacious rooms, strong shower, parking, Christmas decoration, balcony, friendly owner, walking roots around Alpbach.
Review 22:Just a few items of equipment in the kitchen area missing, but apart from that nothing really.
Review 23:View from the apartment was simply fantastic with a balcony containing seating and table . Very spacious living room together with kitchen area. Bedrooms were of good size with very comfortable beds.We had both shower and bath which was appreciated. The apartment was very clean,as was the en-suite shower and bathroom. Frau Margarite was exceptionally helpful. We would love to return here sometime soon.
Review 24:Lack of Indications on the road, it was difficult to find it in the beginning.
Review 25:The cleanliness and comfort of the appartment. Friendliness of the owners. Nicely decorated in and outside. Situation of the bulding was excellent.
Review 26:One thing that was bad was the information about the different trekking paths. The landlord (Margarete) told us that all the information about trekking that we needed was on the board in the house - but it was substandard... We had our one year old son with us and we needed specific information about which tracks that was good for us to take with him on our back, for example we needed information about paths with restaurants where we could stay and rest with him. But we learned from experience that a road sign on a path with a knife and a fork doesn´t always mean that there is a restaurant there. It can also indicate that there is only a place where you can eat food that you have brought with you. We always brought food for our son, but not for us. And one of the days we was trekking in pouring rain and it was quite cold and we had hoped to find a restaurant at the top of our path, but there wasnt any... Luckily a very nice peasant invited us in for some bread and cheese and saved our day that day :-) Another thing not on the information board is that Margarete offers a bread delivery to the appartments. Be sure to ask if she forgets to mention it when you arrive.
Review 27:Very nice apartment with a wonderful view! Alpbach is perfect for trekking.
Review 28:Nothing. Don't want to check out!
Review 29:Everyting. We were supprised by the room and the view outside upon arrival. Beyond our expectation. It has a spacious kichen. Super market is 10mins walk. It's also euiped with a flat screen that we did not miss the World Cup. Owner is helpful and friendly. Love this place.
Review 30:We had wonderful time, traveling a lot. The appartment is very convinient with kids.
Review 31:Alpbach is a beautiful village with even better hiking.
Review 32:The location, apartment, ammenities
Review 33:Big and cozy apartment - spacious with two bathrooms. Ideal for 2 families. Lovely and peaceful surroundings.
Review 34:Nothing
Review 35:Wonderful property in a fantastic location

Review 37:No complaints.
Review 38:Great location, beautiful scenery, big balcony.
Review 39:Everything was perfect. The owner was friendly, the apartment was clean and well equipped. We spent a wonderful weekend there.
Review 40:Everything - view is stunning
Review 41:Beautiful and comfortable apartment Very accommodating host I can highly recommend this place Amazing views Spotless and clean
Review 42:no negative remarks
Review 43:location , view , coziness , decoration
Review 44:Cleaning cost of 30 Euro for ne night stay is unacceptable.
Review 45:No paper, no souap and no shampoo in toikets
Review 46:The hotel and locations
Review 47:View from the balcony Spacious apartment Cleanliness Quiet location Kitchen facilities Comfortable beds
Review 48:Nothing but a microwave would be a useful addition to the kitchen.
Review 49:Fantastic apartments in a lovely village and a great place from which to start hiking. Our apartment had a balcony front and back, was very spacious, spotless and well equipped. Beds were comfy and tv/wifi had excellent reception. Parking next to the property worked well. Frau Margaritier, the owner was extremely friendly and efficient. Delivery of ordered, still warm, bread rolls at around 7 am was a lovely bonus.
Review 50:We were a little surprised by the cleaning bill at the end of the week. We were not aware of anyone coming in during the week so I presume it was just for the changeover clean which is normally part of the Chalet price. We could not fault anything else.
Review 51:The apartment was light and airy with all the facilities you could possibly want. Stunning views, quiet location but still quick to walk down into the centre of Alpbach. The bread roll service was an added bonus.
Review 52:Leaving at the end of our stay!
Review 53:The size of the apartment and the self catering facilities contained within it were excellent. The bread rolls delivery service was an added bonus.
Review 54:There was no dish soap or cleaning supplies. There were very few linens so you might want to bring extra blankets. Also be couscous of the time of year you go, a lot of stores and restaurants are not open in November.
Review 55:Aparthaus Sonnenhof is beautiful! Great location. Very close to a grocery store so you can make meals to save on money. Loved the view we had! I would recommend this aparthaus to my friends and family, we will be back.
Review 56:Clean, spacy, everything functional, 2 balconies both with beautiful viewes, very quiet village, very friendy and helpful owners. Big kitchen and bathroom. Sonnenhof represents ideal holiday apartment for me, with bed linen and towels provided and kitchen well equiped. Free wifi works perfectly.
Review 57:Alpbach was a beutiful village! It was like living in a postcard. The owner was very nice and helpful. It was very nice appartment with a beutiful view. Close to resturants and to shops. Nice area for hiking. Loved it!
Review 58:Actually nothing that I disliked. A minor point, bathroom did not have curtains on the bath tub, so water used to spill over when using shower.
Review 59:Location is good- easily accesible from highway and also good public transport access, quite close to Innsbruck. Very clean, spacious, big apartment. The bedrooms had attached toilets, kitchen was well equipped and there was wifi . Nothing to complain, would definitely go back to this place when I visit Tyrol next time
Review 60:No microwave, no dvd player Vastly overpriced compared to other appts inthe area. Couldn't book a 6 night stay - charged 7 nights. Lackingbasic cooking utensils
Review 61:Spacious appartment Good location
Review 62:First, the management are not on site, so there is no one to ask little questions of. Not a big deal, but it can be a challenge to find your way around when you're in a new town. Second, we were surprised at how little was provided in terms of paper towels, toilet paper and cooking staples in the kitchen (even for a self-catering, I'm used to there being some things left from a previous occupant). It required an immediate trip to the supermarket upon our arrival. Plenty of dishes and silverware, though, as well as towels and sheets provided. Also, it's a little odd that there is no ladder or anything to get up to the top bunk bed in the second bedroom -- in our case (two little kids) it made that top bed unusable and one of our family slept on the couch instead.
Review 63:We spent a really lovely ski weekend here. The apartment was perfectly clean. The appliances were all perfect, like new. Rooms were lovely and large, very nice design. The location is fantastic -- less than a 5 minute walk from the center of Alpbach (although the walk back to Sonnenhof is pretty much straight uphill -- a little tough after a long day of skiing)! However, the location above the town is very nice in terms of the view. Our host, Margaret, helped us out so much by picking us up from the Jenbach train station upon our arrival, and her daughter helped us arrange a taxi back to the train station on our departure day. It was a very clean, nice, comfortable apartment. We enjoyed ourselves very much and our children were very much welcome here. We would definitely stay there again very happily.
Review 64:Had to request for washing up materials, toilet paper.
Review 65:Location, free passes for lifts, public transport
Review 66:very nice apartment and village did not want to leave this place
Review 67:lower heating
Review 68:Everything was fine - nothing to complain, can recommend.
Review 69:Shortage of cleaning materials
Review 70:Wonderful view
Review 71:Sunny, clean apartment.
Review 72:Friendly staff, very clean, marvellous view from balcony
Review 73:Fantastic location. Excelent view.
Review 74:Very clean and practical. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Margret!
Review 75:The apartment was lovely and clean and we found it a great location. There was lots of space for a family and it had everything we needed.
Review 76:Large and spacious apartment, great location and very friendly owners
Review 77:Very quiet village with little "après-ski" opportunities.
Review 78:Skiing excellent although transport is necessary to the slopes
