Reviews for Hotel Pfrontener Hof
Review 1:The staff didn't speak english very well, but they made an effort to answer questions.
Review 2:Nice place. Friendly staff. Had a great view of the mountains.
Review 3:Hotel room was on main road with lots of noise. Too hot to keep windows closed, so lost a lot of sleep late into the night because of the highway noise right under our window.
Review 4:From the pictures in their site it looked said the hotel was up in the meadows. It was on a main road! It also had a major problem with fly's in the dinning room and bar area's
Review 5:It was good value for money
Review 6:The location of the hotel was perfect for us, as we just needed a spot to stay on our way to Neuschwanstein the next day. It's a bit in the middle of nowhere however so if you don't like that it might not be right for you.
Review 7:Very clean, with comfortable beds and nice-sized rooms. Awesome breakfast! A full German breakfast buffet. Great views of the mountains, and adorable chickens cooped just outside.
Review 8:There were so many flies in the restaurant you had to keep one hand free to be continually swiping the flies off your food.
Review 9:located next to a cable car station, on the outskirts of a small town, good room. Underground garage for our motorcycles.
Review 10:Everything was just as we had hoped.
Review 11:Location and a very friendly atmosphere. Also a very comfortable bed especially the pillows. Must try to buy some the same for my own home.
Review 12:kind of old school but in a good way. room was comfortable and had all needed utilities and a nice balcony. It is located in a very quiet rather isolated area an in front of a small train station so you can get around everywhere even without a car. Breakfast was nice and staff were extremely friendly and kind
Review 13:ALL STAFF HAD A POOR UNDERSTANDING OF ENGLISH WHICH IS UNFORGIVABLE CONSIDERING THEY ARE LOCATED IN A WORLD HOT SPOT. IT WAS ONE CONSTANT MISS-COMMUNICATION AFTER ANOTHER. RESTUARANT WAS UNDERSTAFFED LEAVING POOR SURVICE. WE HAD TO LEAVE AT 6:45 AM. DOORS LOCKED, HOTEL DARK, NOT A SOUL AROUND. BREAKFAST I PAID FOR NOT SERVED UNTIL 8AM.
Review 14:IT WAS A NICE HOTEL AND ROOM. NICE VIEW. A GOOD PLACE TO STAY IF YOU ARE FROM THE AREA AND SPEAK THE LANGUAGE. HOWEVER.....
Review 15:Nothing
Review 16:Beautiful ski lodge hotel, set on main road but has a rural feel. Our room at the back looked out to the fields and hills behind - absolutely beautiful. We ate here in the evening and food was excellent. Good value for money.
Review 17:The only negative was that the hotel is a little out of Pfronten so rather quiet, which was lovely as we only had an overnight stop here, but if you spent a week here I think you would want to be closer to the town.
Review 18:We liked this big rambling hotel, the landlord shook our hands as soon as we entered, very friendly. We had a meal in the restaurant at night, it was very good and extremely good value, large hearty Germany food and the chef knew how to cook.
Review 19:The female waitress in the evening was a bid on the grumpy side.
Review 20:We liked the room, food, the 2 friendly owners, their helpfulness and service.
Review 21:Fantastic location. Good choice for breakfast. Lovely walks for the dog right from the hotel.
Review 22:The owner was very friendly, the food was delicious, very clean and great views off our balcony
Review 23:service, decoration , location, food, all excellent
Review 24:A little old fashion. Ware away carpet and decoration
Review 25:Bare necessities where fine. Clean, quiet, good breakfast.
Review 26:Fries and bees are always everywhere in the restaurant , annoying people dinning, no Lift
Review 27:Location, Friendly staff who speaks Chinese
Review 28:Lovely Hotel.- good food- friendly and helpful staff.- value for money. Ideal!
Review 29:In-house restaurant was closed on the Wednesday when I was there.
Review 30:Value for money, spacious rooms
Review 31:Beatuiful view from the room to the mountain.
Review 32:Great location close to Fussen. Nice little town. Beutiful bed and breakfast with full restaurant. Great rooms.
Review 33:They've changed the menu and raised the prices of the items.
Review 34:The location and the staff are great.
Review 35:We stayed just for 1 night on our way to Italy. Therfor the location was good for us. That they have their own restaurant was just confertable for us. Food is tipical for the area. Hotel is situated in a quite area.
Review 36:Soundproofing could be better. We heard people stomping up/down stairs from within our room
Review 37:Good location, a little outside town but right next to the mountain. Good value
Review 38:From the moment we arrived, on a cloudy summer evening, we were awed by the hotel's beauty, nestled at the foot of the mountains. The foyer and dining room of the restaurant were charming - very quiet, clean and cosy. And the rooms were just as clean and comfortable, with breathtaking views to boot. The only sound as we stood on our second storey balcony was the ringing of cowbells from the herd at the foot of the mountain. We thoroughly enjoyed dinners in the restaurant over two nights and had delicious buffet breakfasts both mornings (included in the accommodation cost). I would happily travel again from Australia to stay at this beautiful hotel.
Review 39:There is no elevator, which can cause problems for those with limited mobility. The staff had their "smoking table" directly under our balcony. Rooms on the front of the building are directly by the road and get noise from the passing traffic both day and night. No airconditioning, so the windows must be open (adding to the noise) Very "tired" decor-needs updating. Very small (12") tv. No amenities or hair-dryer in bathroom.
Review 40:We got a great price/great deal through booking.com. Pfronten is situated directly across the border from Austria and is about 20 minutes from the fairy-tale castle of Neuschwanstein and very close to the town of Füssen. There is free parking directly in front of the inn and the old stable building. The Breitenbergbahn, ( a large mountain ski-lift), which is directly beside the inn, is open both summer and winter to take you to the top of the mountain. There are also a multitude or wandering paths which can be enjoyed if you have a few days to spend. Friendly and helpful staff. There was a comfortable double bed with traditional down comforters and a piece of candy on the pillows. Plenty of storage space in the separate wardrobe and a balcony so that we could open up and get some fresh air (no air conditioning)and a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. A small, fully tiled bathroom with shower stall, sink and toilet-plenty of hot water. Everything very clean A great breakfast buffet was included in the price, and in the morning we were all seated in the cheery breakfast room at designated tables by the server. There was a multitude of coldcuts, cheeses, breads/buns and breakfast cereals with milk or yoghurt. Also included were fresh fruit salad and soft boiled eggs. The tea and coffee were brought to the table by the server. Enormous lunch/dinner menu with traditional German dishes-biergarten for relaxing in the evenings. All in all we had a comfortable night’s sleep and could continue our trip the next morning well-rested.
Review 41:We always stay at the Pfronterner Hof when we're in southern Bavaria. It's only 20 minutes from Neuschwansein and sits in the shadow of Falkenstein, King Ludwig's proposed 4th and final castle. The food and staff are wonderful. You won't regret your stay.
Review 42:Very friendly staff who did more than was necessary and more than was expected.
Review 43:Unfortunatelly we didn't have snow (not their fault of course :) )
Review 44:The reception guy was really friendly and helpfull.

Review 46:Hotel located in nice place - close to skiing place. Nice view. Near is nice small city.
Review 47:very nice hotel, good location for people who like to visit the castels and Fussen.
