Review 11：Hard to find, especially with GPS, which routes you through the improbably tight streets and alleys of the old town. Parking is along the highway, some blocks from the hotel. There is an easier access, but you won't learn about it until you check in.
Review 12：An amazing little hotel in a wonderful medieval city, Besalú! Lots of room in the rooms and between the rooms, several open patios, a grassy area, and a swimming pool! Helpful staff, who recommended two superb restaurants! Not luxurious but very comfortable!

Review 20：We loved completely everything - from the marvelous lady-administrator (who was pleasant and very helpful with the maps and all explanations of all the sightseeings around Besalu area), modern spacious room with everything you may possibly need, garden to have a rest, swimming pool with the wonderful view over the hills, delicious breakfast. It's all quietness and peace in the middle of the ancient village. The only thing we regret is not staying there longer, but if we only knew that it's so beautiful!

Review 22：Beautiful small hotel approximately 100 meters from the medieval bridge. The concierge Gemma was wonderful,she couldn't do enough for us including moving up breakfast so we could get away quicker. Room good sized with all the amenities.
Review 23：Impressed by the gardens and the breakfast, with views over towards the mountains and a medieval church in the grounds. Really friendly staff, who helped us pick a restaurant for the evening, and relaxed checkout time of 12pm!
Review 24：We liked everything about this hotel! It is very well designed, appointed and modern inside, even though it is set in the old town. The breakfast was amazing! We never had one like this where they displayed several choices of local charcuterie and baking. Absolutely lovely. The grounds are very nice, in the evenings you could have a nice glass of wine on the covered patio. It was a cool spring day when we were there otherwise we would certainly have enjoyed the pool. You park your car in a safe spot about a block away, walk in and enjoy the treasure.
Review 25：There was nothing we didn't like, except that Monday & Tuesdays are a bit quiet with many of the shops in Besalu closed.

The suite was luxurious and we loved that we could buy ham, cheese, wine etc in the village & eat it for dinner on our room patio overlooking the most amazing view & lit up monestary. Also great restaurants in village. Thanks to Gemma for being so helpful & giving us great advice on places to visit in the area.

Review 28：Ms.Gemma was extremely kind and helpful. Overall, the hotel was spotlessly clean as though it had only just opened. Breakfast was exceedingly tasty, particularly the homemade bread and the fresh orange juice.
Review 29：Jenna was an absolute delight. We arrived a day early but this presented no problem to her .She introduced us to all aspects of the hotel and even offered to purchase and post a guide book we wanted when the shop had not opened by the time we had to leave. Great service !

Review 33：At 7:30 pm we learned that there were not going to be ANY restaurants opened for dinner in Besalu! Gemma did her very best calling around town. No luck; we had to drive to Figueres. Just wanted to let other visitors know if you overnight on a Tuesday.
Review 34：There were four of us and we booked two suites based on other travellers' opinions (wanted privacy in the bathrooms). The staff/Gemma, the hotel, the rooms, the grounds of the hotel were just perfect. And not too far from the parking area.

Review 37：Staying in this hotel certainly will add charme to your sejour in Besalu. Though it's a relatively new hotel with some modernized parts, it still has this medieval feeling. Our room was spacious with great view on the mountains covered by clouds, breakfast is wonderful and the staff was very friendly, helping us to explore the mysterious Besalu and plan routes in this part of Catalunya.

Review 50：Lack of parking. Room very small. Although there was a door from the room to an outside area/patio it was a dedicated "smokers corner"! Friend we also booked for had a room with an horrendous smell of drains. Pool is tiny.

Review 54：1. The church bells ring loudly every hour all night, so keeping your windows pint is not an option (for me). 2. Hotel has no dedicated parking, parking is free a short walk from the hotel on the side of the road outside the city walls. This is not a problem but better directions on the web site would help (otherwise car navigation tries to navigate you through the narrow alleys of the old town - which is awkward and serves no purpose). 3 better separation of the shower cabin (eg a door) would help avoid spillage of water onto bathroom floor,
Review 55：This is a nice simple yet elegant boutique hotel. What makes a difference is outstanding service from Dolores the receptionist, she is just so kind so ready to help . I have been to many places but this is probably the most amazing service I ever experienced.
