Reviews for Hotel zur Ostsee

Review 1：Reception duties are done from remote, there is nobody on site except at the mornings. Breakfast is OK, but the served rolls are obviously industry made rather than from a real bakery. We would appreciate a water cooker and fridge in the room or at a bar like place or so. Well, a tinted window between bath and room perhaps is modern but kinda strange.

Review 2：New building (opened for season 2014) with up-to-date standards. Good location in the woods, free parking, free WiFi (well, rather low bandwidth, but that's caused by the poor offerings of German providers). There are 3 close restaurants near the beach: "Deichgraf" is top cuisine, "Duene" serves good food by a "Bio" chef, "Strandhus" has a snack bar history and the food quality is just about that level.

Review 3：Since we were traveling as a family of 2 adults and 3 children, we needed two rooms, but the staff was unable to place the rooms near each other even though it was in our original request. In fact, our rooms were on different floors!

Review 4：Close to beach and pet friendly

Review 5：The WiFi was weak in the rooms, so you need to stay at the reception for finding a good spot. The water from the shower could go through down the door, making the bathroom a mess after a quick shower. The breakfast was ok but there were not many choice of food nor local meal.

Review 6：The location was very close to the beach. The furniture was brand new and modern. The even smelled as if we were the first ones to use them. With good weather, you can have your breakfast in a big terrace next which is very nice in the mornings. The rooms were isolated, so no noise could be heard inside. They were also very clean, indeed. There were few but good restaurants at walking distance form the hotel and a strandkorb kiosk if you want to rent one while staying on the beach.

Review 7：Hotel is very close to the beach in a quiet environment. It is clean and the staff is very engaging. Breakfast is extraordinary.
