Review 1：The heating in the room was not working properly. Some of the staff, although very friendly, did not speak any english making communication difficult.
Review 2：Nothing much going on in the area,no bars,no shops in walking distance ,but very peaceful with a great parc. Great to relax and rest.

Review 4：The room was as big as the bathroom. It was a pleasant experience. Ithink the hotel must be the official hotel of the Bayer company as thisis where their hq is. It was quite funny as we were all dressed for aholiday in shorts, but really it must be a business hotel forconferences, etc. But nothing wrong with that. We stayed there forCologne as I didn't have an Umwelt pass for the car, and so justtook the train from the local station. It was easy enough.
Review 5：The plug in our bathroom sink would not release but the hotel staff informed us there was no maintenance over the wk-end to fix it, they offered us another room which wasn't as nice so we put up with cleaning our teeth in the shower. Coffee/tea/sugar very limited in our rooms, we used what there was on our first morning and it was very hard trying to get some replacements for our 2nd morning.
Review 6：We upgraded to a junior suite which was a lovely size. This hotel was very traditional for Germany which was a great experience for us. Breakfast was very formal but good variety.
Review 7：There was a torrential flow of air in the hallway of my room (239), like a hurricane, this created a lot of noise and an incredible draft. When I arrived late I had a hard time finding the elevator that is not marked and very unseaming, would have been nice to have been pointed out. Staff gave no information on breakfast etc, I was not informed why I had to fill out a form with my adress wich I object to. I asked for nice restaurants in the are and was asked to google them myself! I asked for special needs in the restaurant kitchen and was rebuffed. It seems that you are entirely uninterested in service or that you do not feel that it is necessary to engage with your customers.
Review 8：Interesting old empire style of the hotel is quaint and interesting. Lovely breakfast. Nice bathroom, would like a bathtub though.

Review 22：the staff was very very rude, especially the restaurant waiters; we ate there the first night and had a large bill, we tipped very well and still the following evenings their attitude was even worse; would def not recommend eating at the hotel restaurant
Review 23：we had a junior suite, which has enormous, with two bathrooms, a living room area and a bedroom area, the hotel has amazing facilities, paid parking next to it and great internet; it is fairly close to cologne's city center, so def a good choice.
