Review 1：The nearest beach is a 10-minute walk, which may seem like a lot for many. We were only there for a few days to thaw out from the winter, so the pool was fine for us. If Juan Dolio is your palce to stay while you also visit Boca Chica or Santo Domingo, then you will probably rent a car and can use that to go to the beach. Otherwise, you may rent a bike or arrange for a ride.
Review 2：The room and pool were clean, the water was hot (not always a given in the Dominican Republic), the wifi is free and worked well. There are only 2 rooms on each floor and the general layout is such that you do not have to run into many people, which is great if you are looking to spend a romantic trip or other private getaway. If you ask for towels for the beach or pool, they will be provided. The restaurant next door is good for lunch, dinner or drinks and ConCon down the road delivers pizza, Italian and local food right to your room. There are a couple of colmadas (little groceries) a couple of minutes walking distance where you can buy drinks, fruit and snacks and more restaurants, etc down the road (about a 7 minute walk). We had a late flight out and were able to stay in our room until 6 pm at no extra charge. Unless there are other people coming early that day, check out time is very flexible - a first in our many travels, many in DR.

Review 4：The overall space in the apartment eliminated any feeling of being cramped. It was very private for me. The views from the balconies were basic but refreshing. A bit back to nature and real.

Review 9：Very discrete and quiet place, which is close to the road and close to the beach of Juan Dolio (a little long if you're walking). The apartments are very spacious and clean. The furniture is well kept. There's nothing else you can ask for at that price point: a comfortable bed with white sheets, a flat tv with cable, a working air conditioner and three ceiling fans across the apartment. The staff is very reduced in quantity but very servicial.
Review 10：Like most of Juan Dolio, everything is very spaced out (far apart), so renting or borrowing a bicycle is a great idea. La Siesta is mot easy to find but you can find it on Google maps to help you find your way. Meridiana Residence (pink hotel-apartment building) is a good landmark on the main beach road.
Review 11：Great rooms (apartments really) and I got a single for $25 with large BR, living room, balcony, bath, and full kitchen. Cable TV, good Wi-Fi, and a strong ceiling fan in BR and living room made it even better. The windows and doors have screens, so few problems with mosquitoes. Beach access is about 10 minutes from the hotel (pass Meridiana and you'll see a sidewalk next to a wall leading to the beach). A great restaurant and bar (Classic) is next door and a couple of colmados are nearby to buy beer and supplies. Walk just 5 minutes to the main highway to catch guagua (minivan) to Boca Chica or Santo Domingio (west) or San Pedro, La Romana, and Higuey (east). Swimming pool is kept clean and is a nice fresh water way to start and end the day. Restaurante ConCon is also nearby (but I didn't eat there) and you can walk to Club Hemingway on the beach in about 20 minutes. Highly recommended for a budget beach option not too far from the beach.
