Reviews for Gästehaus Knab's Mühlenschenke
Review 1:Nothing to report here
Review 2:On a rainy day there was a knock on our door, and we found there our host with a tray with two shots of Schnaps. This was an unexpected pleasure and delight. The sun came out shortly after! Everything else was absolutely fabulous.
Review 3:Beautiful location with free private parking on site. Friendly and helpful staff and beautiful guest rooms. We had access to a kitchen to make drinks and there was very good value wine available to buy. Lovely areas inside and out to relax in and all for a very good price. We would definitely return.
Review 4:Alexandra and Jacob were excellent hosts! They are very friendly and helpful. The property is off the beaten path, only a few minutes walk. We would definitely recommend.
Review 5:Friendly hosts. Quiet location 800m from the Rhine. Easy grade to bike up. Secure bike storage in a garage. Places to sit and eat outside as well as in. Several restaurants in town 1.4 km away, but we brought up ingredients for chefs salads from the small grocery in town and had a wonderful dinner under an umbrella at an outdoor table (we carry our own plastic plates, plastic ware, plastic cutting board and knife for places like this). No railroad noise. View of the castle ruins nearby.
Review 6:Friendly host, clean and modern rooms, fantastic breakfast, great value for the money

Review 20:Cheap, with good parking.
Review 21:The host and hostess at this guesthouse were delightful. So friendly and happy to help. The guesthouse is located off the main road, an easy and safe 15 minute walk into town. They offer a range of wines to purchase and enjoy in your room overlooking the gorgeous scenery. Such a peaceful and tranquil place, we would return without hesitation.
Review 22:Charming little place on the country side near St. Goar. Lovely surroundings and a beautyful garden for the guests. Welcoming owners, good breakfast. We loved it!
Review 23:Warm wecome. Spoke English. Very helpful. Good sized room. Bathroom a bit cramped but OK for us, as we are small. Plenty of free parking. Well signposted.
Review 24:I have no negatives about this hotel.
Review 25:This Hotel is comfortable and very welcoming, the owners are very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was cosy and relaxing. The evening menu was small but very good quality, the sandwich's we were presented with were very large and very tasty. A lovely place to stay for a few nights, it's quiet were it is situated provides easy access to nearby towns, a very enjoyable stay. The wine was good too.
Review 26:one of the rooms was a little cold, although very good for a good nights's sleep!
Review 27:Nice location, central to visit places along the Rhine, clean, tasty food, nice breakfast, very friendly and helpful owners, we enjoyed our stay!
Review 28:The breakfast very poor. We stay on the 2nd floor-so it was little bit hard to carry the luggage.
Review 29:Very nice hospitality.Alexsandra the owner very kind and friendly .
Review 30:cost 30 minutes to walk from the railway station maybe a little inconvenient to those people who don't drive their car and have many luggage sets to carry.
Review 31:The hostess was very cordial and friendly, always pleased to answer every question we asked. The room was very spacious and you could have a nice view through the windows to begin a new day. Most interestingly, you can walk through a hill road from the entrance of the hotel to castle. What a wonderful hiking experience!
Review 32:Proprietor [male] refused us breakfast outside and yet other guests were allowed, also his English and helpfulness was poor. Also garden could do with mowing .Bathroom was tiny as was the room we had.
Review 33:Type of building and quiet country atmosphere and yet 10 mins from town. Very pretty outside area including garden and stream.
Review 34:Nothing nothing nothing!!!!
Review 35:First I must say that the lady owner is an exceptional person and entrepreneurs. I cut my finger at breakfast on our last day and she leaped into action cleaning the wound and bandaging it. I was so grateful for her help that I wanted to hug her but was not sure this would be culturally acceptable. Her son Daniel came to get us at the train station and was very helpful planning action ities and offering us a ride to the bike rental place. Food in the morning was awesome and the coffee was the best ever. I would come back in a heartbest. The area is gorgeous and you are nestled safely away from the sound of trains.
Review 36:We got a tiny room even though we booked and paid a double „room withextra space”. The bathroom was extremely small. The breakfast was poorunlike any other place we stayed in Germany. At check-out we had topay in cash.
Review 37:The owners were very warm, welcoming and fluent in English, we felt asthough we were part of the family. The room was clean, bright and quite.A bonus was that there was adequate free parking in the hotel grounds. The hotel itself is about 5 - 10 minutes walk from the Rhine, but isideally positioned so that the noise of the regular trains runningthrough the Rhine valley could not be heard.
Review 38:This place was fantastic an I would recommend it to anyone. The hotel isfamily run and you truly feel like you are staying over at a friendshouse. The hostess was very cordial and welcomed us immediately. Ourrooms were small apartments complete with bedroom, bathroom living roomand kitchen. There was an indoor entrance and an outdoor entrance soaccess was never an issue. The restaurant on site was fabulous and thelocal wine was great. Again, it was like being at a friends house. Stgoar is not too far away but we had our own car and it made it easy. Itmight be a little more difficult to get there if you don't have your owntransportation. The castle on the hill is visible from the premises andseems to be accessible from the property. A definitively positiveexperience.
