Reviews for Apartahotel Caribe Paraiso y Perla Mar I
Review 1:Everything related to hotel was good in my opinion. I don't have anything bad to say.
Review 2:Balcony view was nice. I Liked Location. It's very quiet and it's perfect for people that are there on vacation to rest. Apartment is very close to beach and also to guaguas that can take u to Santo Domingo or Boca Chica or other nearby towns for 50-60 pesos. Internet in apartment worked perfectly.
Review 3:Parking, bathroom a bit dated, residential location down the street from the rental office, requires strategic plan for luggage to/from room, beach needed to be cleared of seaweed (not this hotel's fault, but an eyesore for visitors and a hassle to get into/out of the water)
Review 4:Decent bed, located right off the main hwy, walking distance to a few bars, restaurants and colmados, nice restaurant below residential building, hot water, a/c, kitchen and dining area in room, decent balcony
Review 5:Whenyou need something from staff they never shoe up the bed is unconfortable, do no have informatiion about the location , places like, parking, restaurant etc, you have to walk and finding no body show where is the places, the services is so slow and bad and they leave you waiting for an answer that theynever do, nobody show up for noting just this is you room and that is all.
Review 6:The beach
Review 7:We found two of the four burners on the gas stove were inoperable. We had to plan carefully our use of the bath towels. Upon cleaning the room in the morning, the towels were removed for washing and not replaced until the afternoon. Not a major inconvenience. There was no hot pad to hold the metal pot used to boil water for coffee.
Review 8:The location was ideal. Transportation around the island was always available via local buses or from taxicabs for those less adventurous. Roxanne at the front office was extremely helpful with advice about local shopping and various attractions. Our concern with the locking mechanism on the sliding glass door was tended to immediately.
Review 9:The gas stove had two (of four) burners that were questionable. But we were able boil water for coffee and prepare small meals. Not a big inconvenience.
Review 10:Roxanne the daytime manager was extremely helpful and knowledgeable! Our room was situated on the third floor of this beachfront hotel with a beautiful view of the beach cove. Multiple dining/drinking facilities with-in a block of the hotel. Public transportation with-in 75 yards.
Review 11:During weekends, the beach is very crowdy and loud with locals.
Review 12:Great location. Nice beach. Good resto and bars nearby. Quiet room. Good air conditionnig. Good water pressure. Good room service.
Review 13:Nothing except it has become hard to book. I tend to keep checking and usually something opens up, but sometimes need to book elsewhere.
Review 14:See my previous review for more detail. One thing that is clear is the new management is making necessary repairs to the units and improvements to the property. I noticed some small annoyances have been fixed (drippy a/c, patio door latch, etc...) They also expanded the dining area to the beach patio and built a new bar there.
Review 15:The A/C was very noisy and not working when I got there. Selp the first night in the heat. However, they fixed the issue the next day except for the noise part. WIFI issues. did not work the first day I was there. WIFI not working for my cell at all..
Review 16:The receptionist was very pleasant and accommodated me the best she could. They were willing to change my room but I decided to stay where I was since I was there only for 5 days.
Review 17:Kitchen utensils are just thrown into the drawers. Simple things can improve the uplift the quality of this hotel. Pillows and bed sheets
Review 18:Location is great, beach is in close proximity. Can be so much better if management put a little effort into little things like linens are so worn out, two pillows together cannot make one.
Review 19:For the price, there is nothing to complain about.
Review 20:This place is clean and has excellent daily cleaning and fresh towels. Friendly helpful staff. Off street parking. Good security. Generator for power outages. In room WiFi. Room safe. It is right in the heart of the original Playa Juan Dolio beach town (many places are located North on a desolated stretch of high rises). Good onsite Italian Cafe and nice patio on the beach. Many bars and restaurants within steps. Tables, lounge chairs and umbrellas provided on the beach. Great ocean view from beach-facing rooms. This is not a fancy resort and not for the snobby. Typically you might find an item or two in disrepair in your room or a worn bathroom fixture, but everything is functional (I have stayed 3 times in different rooms). The rooms are nice but not charming. AC, TV, WIFI.
Review 21:There were a few minor things in disrepair in the room.
Review 22:Great location right on the beach. Great view. Very clean. Helpful staff. Off street parking. Good restaurant.
Review 23:No elevator
Review 24:Nice beach....room with balcony facing the beach
Review 25:the sea view was amazing
Review 26:Missing good cleaning
Review 27:In front of a not so good beach,2 bathrooms 2 bedrooms,parking
Review 28:Come those that haven't been, I promise you a good stay
Review 29:the parking
Review 30:The location
Review 31:Parking is limited
Review 32:Next to the beach
Review 33:Outdated rooms, friendly male receptionist, unfriendly female receptionist, no atm nearby, area has lot of pleasure girls around...
Review 34:Clean room, hotel is at the beach so that's convenient.
Review 35:Wifi didn't really work at all for me. Another young lady at the front desk was not at all attentive. That strip of Juan Dolio is teaming with hookers so be consistent and firm if you don't want company but overall not many negatives for the price.
Review 36:Location was fantastic. Extremely scenic, gorgeous clean beach. It was a tiny bit of fantasy island in a small quaint boutique type hotel. The young man from Spain who tended the front desk was always very helpful, let me use the phone several times and showed me how to connect the Wifi. I would definitely recommend it for $55/night. Great value.
Review 37:bad food, badly maintained, although we arrived only at 3pm(= official check-in time), we had to wait 2 hours more to get a room without towels.
Review 38:nice and relatively small location right at the beach, friendly staff
Review 39:No bank nearby or credit card machine available at the hotel, cash only. Had to take a taxi or bus to the bank daily.
Review 40:Clean room with hot water, cable, wi-fi, and sea view balcony. Located where there are plenty of restaurants and stores to buy snacks.
Review 41:Such a pleasant surprise beautiful views great people great fun thank you!!
Review 42:Excellent location with many restaurants around the area.
