Review 1：Beautiful setting in perfect location right next to old bridge and town. Rooms clean and very comfortable, staff incredibly friendly and helpful. A real gem!

Review 5：Besalu is a lovely place to visit and this is a very convenient location for walking in to town to all the restaurants etc. It's a quirky place in an old building. Views from the rooms are wonderful.

Review 7：Just across the bridge from the old city and just a few steps away from the river. Ideal for our dog! The pub downstairs was very welcome at the end of the afternoon!

Review 10：Anyone looking for somewhere different from the normal 'run of the mill' hotels will love this authentic, family owned, eccentric hotel. No lifts, beautiful sitting rooms and library for guests to use. Lovely big bedrooms and bathrooms in an old manor house. The owners very helpful in every respect. A lot of people wouldn't like this as it's not your modern hotel in any way, but if you want a touch of the real Spain - you will love it.

Review 24：The rooms could have been cleaner. They were clean, but there could have been better care taken. The furniture was a bit sparse and dated. There was no hairdryer. The breakfast service was poor. Dirty dishes left lying around and the member of staff seemed disappointed to see us. She wasn't rude, just not that engaging. For the same money we stayed the following night in Barcelona at a 4* hotel - no breakfast, but the difference in facilities and surroundings was mega.
Review 25：The hotel was in a great location and the room spaces are big and airy. This hotel does have the makings of a fabulous boutique hotel, if it was spruced up a little. I would recommend the hotel but also advise any potential visitors of its shortcomings.
