Reviews for Explorer Hotel Neuschwanstein
Review 1:There was no cups in the room no fridge. There was no one on reception at 11pm at night and had to sound horn on the car to get someone out. I think it was more of a case of being out of season but for a hotel the standard should be higher.
Review 2:Location was lovely and the breakfast was excellent.
Review 3:Not bad as such, but they should make it more clear that there is no restaurant at the hotel. It was raining heavily when we stayed so too wet to venture into the village, so we had to make do with bar snacks. They were nice, but not much of a meal.
Review 4:Spotlessly clean, beautiful setting, fantastic breakfast, efficient, friendly and helpful staff
Review 5:The overpowering body odor smell in the stairwell and the hallway to our room. It smelled like someone just took their shoes off after working out all day. Horrible! The room did not smell bad though.
Review 6:The location, staff were helpful and pleasant. Room had a nice view. Breakfast was good with lots of choices and for €5 you could pack a lunch from breakfast selections.
Review 7:It was difficult finding the hotel. We drove back and forth on the main street looking for the correct street name .
Review 8:Very friendly and helpful staff! Clean rooms!
Review 9:Wifi was spotty. Rooms can get very warm in the summer, especially in the morning with east facing room.
Review 10:Great location for outdoor activities. Hotel is clean and has a great breakfast and lounge/bar. Staff is friendly.
Review 11:Baking and cooking your own egg is a bit time consuming. Might also have somr already cooked/baked eggs. Wifi sucks, connects but keeps falling away.
Review 12:Nice modern room. Good breakfast. Good parking facilities. It is possible to plugin a usb into the tv to watch your own movie. Only german tv.
Review 13:A bit inconvenient that front desk closes early
Review 14:Very Helpful Staff (Special thanks to front desk agent: Florian!) Nice Location Wonderful Room You can cook your own breakfast
Review 15:A nice hotel to footsteps of Alpspitz. very modern and sports-spa motivated. had nice small saunas and gym. Breakfast was good and had variaty. staff were very nice, helpful and informative. The room was stylish and comfortable
Review 16:the price is a bit high but it's understandable
Review 17:the location is great. altough the hotel is 1km away from the center of the town, it's right by the mountain and it's bike and hiking tracks. green everywhere
Review 18:Nice, modern hotel with spacey rooms and bathrooms, great view from all rooms. Excellent breakfast with the option of preparing eggs at one's taste. Also great coffee variations. Good value for money. Very friendly staff.
Review 19:- WIFI wasnt working - 100 EURO per night almost and check-out needs to be at 10:30 and late check-in in at 15:00. - nacho crisps with chili sauce which was very expensive. I could have bought this in the supermarket. - The man at the reception was flirting with my boyfriend which I found very unprofessional. - A very small spa, for extra towels in the room the guests need to pay € 2,- - Breakfast- we had to fry and boil our own eggs - Expensive price and no soap in the bathroom
Review 20:- Nice design - Clean rooms
Review 21:Balcony is not private, Smokers walk the length of the balcony and you are unable to have an open window for fear of getting 2nd hand smoke. Do not advertise smoke free when it is not possible because of the design of the hotel. Have a smokers place out back behind the hotel with the dog park. Our drain was clogged and the shower flooded. They did not clean the room when we stayed more than one night, the only thing that was done was looking through my personal things. They had a small egg making station that allowed for 3 people to make their own eggs but when you got up to make your eggs the lady would clear your table so you couldn't keep your food and make your breakfast at the same time. They are just out for money with out giving you anything the smallest things cost extra. Still had heavy winder blankets on the beds in the summer.NO AIRCON and not able to open window due to smokers = HOT HOT HOT. Bed were small, must have been intended for toddlers. Woke up sore and achy from the bed and terrible sleep. Lights flickered. Walls were paper thin, you could hear giggling and yelling all night and in the early morning. This was one of the worst places I have ever stayed, do yourself a favor and don't put yourself through this torture.
Review 22:There is not much that I liked about this Hotel. I can't think of a good comment to make
Review 23:Not enough space on outside parking. Simple breakfast. Very bad sound isolation between rooms (!!!), can hear people talking (not mentioning crying baby) in neighboring room. Balcony connects to other rooms on a same floor.
Review 24:Friendly staff. Nice design.
Review 25:-Breakfast was quite good, including 3 little stoves, so you could make your own fried egg, omelettes or scrambled eggs. Lots of meat and cheeses, yoghurts and cereal. - Large modern rooms - New and roomy bathrooms
Review 26:Breakfast is included but mostly is self-service and kinda ascetic, pay attention to floors (sometimes they are too wet, be careful)
Review 27:Eco-friendly, very friendly, bilingual and helpful stuff, great location, a lot of facilities (gym, few types of sauna, bikes and etc), fabulous Wi-Fi (highest speed we've ever had during our numerous travels), friendly bartenders, great beer, cosy, comfy rooms, hipsterish design, room card can be used as payment card, big parking

Review 43:The hotel located in a very nice place with beautiful vies for every room, very clean. Staff are so helpful Delicious breakfast
Review 44:Wish they had more Organic soaps in the shower.
Review 45:It was all an outstanding experience.
Review 46:excellent service, friendly staff, very nice and comfortable room
Review 47:New and clean.variety breakfast choice.
Review 48:the room was a bit dark when the sun goes down and there's no light enough. Breakfast was a bit por with not to much variety.
Review 49:big room with a terrace. the scenery is great all surrounded by nature. Perfectly place to enjoy Winter sports and summer walking through the mountains
Review 50:Lots of potential but they are a VERY Greedy hotel... ruins the experience. We arrived at 14h and check-in is 15h. The room was ready but they would not let us check in unless we paid 5 euros to check in 1 hour early. If you want an extra bath towel they charge you 2 euros. There is no shampoo or toiletries in the bathroom, just one bottle of hand soap next to the sink. The sauna area has a big 8 shower room but only one small soap dispenser in the back of the room. The balcony is set up as one long balcony around the entire building with no separation between your balcony and the rooms next to you, anyone can walk from their balcony to all other rooms balcony on the same floor so its lacking privacy. These small things probably make the hotel a few extra euros, but they ruin the holiday experience and therefore we will never stay there again and dont recommend it.
Review 51:Modern, new building.
Review 52:The room could have (actually should have) been a bit cleaner. At check out I have been asked to pay for parking in the underground lot (which I had asked for when booking the room), even though I had eventually parked outside (free of charge). Also, they initially wanted to charge me in excess of what I had booked for (their minimum possible price, they said). However, it all worked out fine, no hassle.
Review 53:I loved the design of the hotel, as well as the location. Breakfast was excellent, as you would expect in Germany, with a nice touch: you could fry your own very fresh omellette, with all the ingredients provided. Great facilities for bicycles (which you could also rent), skois a.s.o. Large parking lot, exterior as well as underground.
Review 54:hard mattresses and they have a plastic cover. Making them hot to sleep on.
Review 55:The hotel is decorated with an eye for detail. Nice colorful décor. Good location for walking and cycling. Rich breakfast.
Review 56:The breakfast place is confused and uncomfortable. Few employees to clean the tables and replenish food
Review 57:Brand new. The interior design is great. The staff was very kind and helpful. Good breakfast (the food and variety)
Review 58:This design of the hotel is creative and fresh. Perfect breakfast, also you can make your scrambled eggs by yourself, there are few stoves near the buffet. The place is quiet and you can use funicular and go for a walk in mountains.
Review 59:nothing to complain about
Review 60:- staff is polite and helpful - nice position of the hotel - great breakfast - competitive cost
Review 61:- New and modern - Good facilities including SPA - Lots of activities

Review 69:design, breakfast
Review 70:Stylish.
Review 71:They only had finger foods in the restaurant at night.
Review 72:Decor was modern and clean
Review 73:It's a building site. Not fully completed. Daily noise and dust. No aircon. Amateur staff.
