Reviews for Hotel Victoria

Review 1:Free breakfast - it's cooked to order, not a buffet. The staff brought food to everyone BUT my girlfriend and I. We felt ignored and after 20 minutes of waiting for service we left.

Review 2:Great location and room

Review 3:There is a place to sit outside in the garden for those who have no balcony. The place is very idyllic, quiet and peaceful. There is a piano in the restaurant and sometimes someone plays, very nice. Its all kind old fashioned style here, rooms, personnel, lobby,... (either you like it or not.

Review 4:There wasn't anything that we did not like, we did choose to use a local laundry instead of using the Hotel. a couple more English speaking tv stations would be nice but definitely not necessary

Review 5:Excellent staff, friendly fast and for the most part their English was excellent. we had no trouble or disappointment with any thing. Our room was excellent food good and fresh. We were able to use the front desk to book a guide and had a wonderful day visiting the local area.

Review 6:the only negative point is the noise of the street in case your windows are towards it ( we had only wkd experience when young crowds were partying still around 4am )

Review 7:Too near to clubs and bars, can be kind of loud at nights and even maybe dangerous. Wouldn´t recommend to walk alone passed 1AM.

Review 8:It´s cozyness, comfort, free parking, close to downtown and it´s view.

Review 9:The only negative thing I could say is that the hotel is in an area with several night clubs and the music was playing pretty loud, but not enough to be to bothersome.

Review 10:We made reservations the night before our stay. When we arrived we needed to add an additional person to our booking from 5 to 6. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. In Ecuador most hotels charge by the person. Our stay averaged out to $30 per person. I have stayed in some real poor quality hostals in Ecuador that charge that price. We were very please with our stay and look forward to returning in the future.

Review 11:Dried up bacon at breakfast. Waiters around too much at dinner and nobody else dining.

Review 12:Friendly and helpfull man behind reception. Nice view from restaurant.

Review 13:Over-priced overall, windows and bathroom leaked a bit of rainwater, security box non-functional, TV limited, no English-language channels for news at all (surprising since there are many foreigner clients), room/bed lighting inadequate for reading .

Review 14:Location ok, service mediocre, food average, over- priced, breakfast average-poor. View not bad, "greener" than most Cuenca hotels, but over-rated, garden nice, hummingbird feeders a bit of a sham (none visiting them, perhaps because they hold water, not sugar-water)

Review 15:Make sure you stay in a room facing the river. We stayed in one of the top floor rooms/suites with a balcony facing the river and it was really wonderful.

Review 16:The best stay in Cuenca with the nicest Staff , service and the best food in Ecuador at El jardín , just over the top , tended by the owners touch at all times making any detail spaciall for the guest , we really enjoed the stay at Victoria

Review 17:The beauty of the interior featured carved wood and character. The food in the dining room was excellent. A central location as well.

Review 18:There was a lot of toilette smell into the room.

Review 19:There were some loud customers at the restaurant that weren't guests.

Review 20:The location and the kindness of the staff

Review 31:Fixed breakfast and also from my room could hear the noise of people moving around the restaurant, wooden floors creak a lot.

Review 32:The location was perfect

Review 33:Very,very noisy, loud disco music till past 2 am

Review 34:Close to everything, market restaurants, cafe's

Review 35:Beatiful view! Excellent location!

Review 36:noted above.

Review 37:The staff in the dining room was amazing and so very helpful. The location was perfect. The only thing I had an issue with was the last day when I was told I had to leave earlier than the published check out time due to some large event. No advance notification had been issued and I was "informed" by the front desk when they saw me instead of being informed the night before. Luckily I was already packed. Other than this one unfortunate item I enjoyed my stay very much.

Review 38:Nothing!

Review 39:Everything! The room was delightful and charming, with a lovely terraces (shame it was raining!) the breakfast was excellent - cooked to order. The staff were really friendly - nothing was too much trouble including go to pick up my car from a few blocks away to put in the hotel car park which is free! Stay here you will love it!!

Review 40:interior of the hotel was getting dated. hope they stay on top of. parking was behind the hotel and was difficult to find.

Review 41:Hotel was very central in Cuenca. room had a good view. breakfast was excellent. Cuenca offers great restaurants and good shopping with artisans. city has lots of cultural attractions and has a good "vibe"

Review 42:I appreciated that Flavio Mendia was able to drive us from Cuenca to Guayaquil.

Review 43:very slow room service / breakfast

Review 44:Nothing negative to say.

Review 45:Comfy bed, clean room, friendly staff, nice breakfast, great location.
