Review 1:They couldn´t sell me WiFi for the room because the signal was weak. I had to pay extra for the safe box. The pool towels were stained. The beach chairs were dirty. The loud AC didn´t work properly. I wasn´t given a welcome drink as the page stated. People at the front desk were completely disorganized. There´s no AC in the main restaurant. There were a lot of annoying vendors on the beach. There were dead bees on the halls. Few TV channels. There´s only one small elevator for a lot of people. There´s no control on who enters the hotel because it´s so big and full of people. The pool closes at 6pm. The payment system of the gift shop is very slow! They sell something like a VIP package at the hotel and only those guests get a special place in the restaurant and on the beach.
Review 2:It´s beachfront.
Review 3:The room was near the Quality of a Motel 6 or Super 8 that hadn't been remodeled since the 70s. The bed was mildly uncomfortable. The halls were noisy. The shows at night catered to local Spanish speakers as did the resort at large. I would stay there again for the right cheap rate.
Review 4:The beach was nice. Location not far from Santo Domingo and the airport. It was possible to take the cheap highway busses with carry on luggage. The food at the buffet was good on some days, fair on others. I loved the fresh papaya. The evening sit down meals were better.
Review 5:The bathroom was a bit of a mess - actually just the water fixture of the bathtub. The whole thing came off in my hand! and the water kept pouring out from the hole in the wall that it left behind. But being used to camping adventures, I smacked that fixture right back into its spot on the wall and didn't give it another thought since I only needed a bath the one night I stayed.
Review 6:Pleasant surprises included the hotel's accessibility and ease of parking, options to pay by credit or cash, beautiful gardens, multiple swimming options with 3 pools and a beach, all lovely, and the varied selection of food and beverages. I especially appreciated the coffee machine by the first outdoor bar because I need foamed milk in my cafe con leche!!
Review 7:Everything. No ac, water, elevators and electric. The food was awful. They did nothing to make us happy. $40 each way from airport. The room was gross. Prepaid for 3 nights, left first morning even though they wouldn't check us out. Visa refunded money for two nights. It left a bad feeling of domican republic.

Review 42:Well made up rooms gives the feeling of relaxing and satisfaction.Have sufficient space in side and out side the room. Review 43:The hotel is old and not well kept. The bathroom didn't look or feel clean and the bed was rock hard. The selection of food at the buffet was very limited at each meal. I would not recommend this hotel

Review 52:There was very low water pressure in the showers located in the room. The water temperature in the showers were cool at best. The toliets did not flush properly half of the time. This must have been one of the best hotels during the time that it was constructed about 50 years ago. Understandably it requires a lot of maintenance to keep it up to standard.

Review 54:I bought this gateway as a present for my friend, who just got married.I was trying to pay for the gift before he and his new wife got there.I actually called a day before from Atlanta Georgia (long distance) toexecute the payment, but nobody answer the phone. This was on December25th, Christmas day. I called booking.com and a staff member, veryefficient and pleasant handled my call to inform me that the Hotel wasnot going to be able to process my payment because it was a holyday. Iunderstood and decided to call the next day before the check in time.December 26th at around 12:00pm I called again. The phone rang for along time before it was answered, the person who answered spoke tofast, I was only able to understand the name of the hotel. After beingtransferred several time they transfer my call to a girl, I don'tremember her name. She was patient and polite, but not friendly, andshe tried to help. However She was not able to get my email addresscorrectly because she never send me the authorization form that wasrequired. I couldn't understand why, so I ask for email. This wayshe could just reach out to me. I call her several time, and the answerwas that she got my e-mail but for some reason she was not able toemail me back. Each time I call the hotel it was the same problem. Thephone rang for a long time and I got transfer from one department toanother. At one point I though this was to much, after all, all Iwanted to do was to make a payment. I ask to speak to a supervisor or amanager, and they just hung up the phone. After few hours of trying andmy frustration I called booking.com again, as the first time theassociate was very pleasant and efficient. Unfortunately he wentthrough the same experience as I did. He spoke with the same personthat I spoke to, and again she fail to email the form to him so hecould email it to me. At this point I gave up my effort and decided towait until my friend got there.
