Reviews for Hostal Joaquin Costa
Review 1:What a suprize to find the Main entrance to the Hostal Closed, after parking the car 300yds away we had to walk to a 2nd hostal to book in. The Single girl in recption was OK.
Review 2:After a short walk to park the car and with a over night bag and the wife in tow, we were not impresed having to walk 200 yds to a hostal down the road to book in to a hostal 200 yds up the road, However, when we were given a digital entrance key the room was OK but the hostal was rabbit warren of a place.
Review 3:The reception has closed permanently and arrivals are processed through a third party reception some 50m away. Sat navigation and 3 locals all pointed us to the door where the old reception once existed. The reception details on the property description do not match with Booking.com details. Finally we were given instructions by a street local who new of the change. We wasted 1.5hr chasing our tails. To add insult to injury, only one of four was able to access wifi even with individual passwords, it simply wouldn't connect. Very frustrating.
Review 4:Best shower we've experienced in Spain. A/C worked kept us cool at night, secure apartment, clean.
Review 5:hard bed, difficulty to park in the street (and payed too), reception+breakfast 50m away from the rooms. We decided to have breakfast in a cafeteria closeby since that is a lot cheaper.
Review 6:Design, helpful friendly staff, window blinds
Review 7:Group of rowdy young men staying at hotel acting like idiots. Noisy inhallway late at night and In the early hours. Sitting on our car in thestreet and shouting abuse. I
Review 8:The room was smelling (some cleaning product), the car park is charged 9€ (even if the price is annonced on booking, they didn't tell us about these costs when we arrived)
Review 9:Breakfast, close to the city center
Review 10:You need to go to another hotel to get the key. Thanks to old gentleman showed us the way (we did'n understand a word in Spanish he said).
Review 11:All is good, including small balcony
Review 12:Paying 9 euros extra for parking. On arrival had to phone to find out where the reception was.,which turned out to be a hotel further down the road.
Review 13:Overall a good stopover
Review 14:Parking !!!!! You need to time your stay to avoid paying for parking. 3 hour limit only. But free 20.00-09.00 next day. Avoid the school at opening and closing.
Review 15:Now I know how to get to the hotel, its ideal. There is a small supermarket across the road. Great value room. Fantastic proper shower.
Review 16:Free overnight parking outside on street from 8pm to 10am. Well converted modern hotel, Card key access to front door and room. My room had a small outside terrace. Reception was in sister hotel (Posada de la Luna) 200 meters away which was a bit inconvenient. No restaurant and none really close that I could find; don't think the adjoining Meson El Riojano would be to many people's taste !!
Review 17:the hostel was on a very busy road and a lot of noise from the school opposite the car parking was no good even although we had the car in the garage underground we had no acess to the car once it was parked you had to go and get the key from another hostel to get out or in no key was available for our use we paid 52 euro for the night and it was only worth about 25 euro we will not be staying here again,if you like lots of noise this is the place for you
Review 18:nothing
Review 19:Problems with wifi.
Review 20:This is actually a hostal, which is a lower level in the Spanish hotel hierarchy. It seems to be part of a boutique hotel down the street, La Posada de la Luna, which is where you enter and get your key, etc. That said, it's a simple but very nice place. The rooms are very modern and well designed, the bathroom is nice and the place just feels pleasant and upbeat. The staff at the Posada was very nice and helpful and I liked dealing with them, especially Carlos (?). I think that was his name but I didn't write it down, so I'm not certain. He was generally the only guy in duty, so you should be able to identify him! I would get hhe breakfast, not that it's particularly great (although the coffee is made to order), but there aren't a lot of eating options in that immediate neighborhood, which is still up and coming, especially early in the morning. My only complaint was that the wifi never worked in hhe entire 4 days I was there. They said they were fixing it, but it never happened. However, you can use the wifi in the Libby if the Pisada, which is a pleasant place. On the whole, I liked it and thought it was a good value. I booked it at the last minute when I suddenly decided to go to Huesca, and it was a good choice for my purposes, because I didn't spend much time in the room but, except for the missing wifi, it was comfortable when I was there.
Review 21:We didn't get one of the superior rooms we had booked and had problems with the key entry system. Hotel staff compensated with a good free breakfast.
Review 22:Only 10 to 15 minutes walk from town centre with a bustling friendly night life and a very wide choice of places to eat.

Review 41:Not well signposted!
Review 42:Clean and comfortable.Very close to Motorway.
Review 43:Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Review 44:Apartment was beautifully clean and very high quality.
Review 45:Need to fix the locking door system
Review 46:Limited parking.
Review 47:Breakfast was easy and fuse free.
Review 48:Disappointingly, the Hotel appeared to have taken my payment from the credit card when the booking was made and not after we had stayed at the Hotel. The choice at breakfast on the Monday was limited.
Review 49:The hotel is nicely situatd to explore Huesca.
Review 50:Problem with the wifi connection that has been resolved but late in the evening
Review 51:The Hotel is very clean and modern. Good equipment and correctly spacious.
Review 52:It was hard to find and had to ask a policeman for help. Hostal entrance is not clear and need to go to Hotel Luna, about a block away, to get into hostal. Not well labeled and very confusing.
Review 53:Free parking. Once found, staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.
Review 54:Wi-FI did not work. Very difficult to find the way in. Very unfriendly staff. Staff ignoring any type email communication even in mother tongue.
Review 55:Position, cost
Review 56:Our spanish isn't great so we couldn't read the sign telling us that the check in counter was 50m down the road. This wasn't a problem as a friendly local showed us the way.
Review 57:Very budget friendly with a yummy breakfast included. Central with free street parking. We enjoyed our stay here.
Review 58:They tried to make a nice decoration, but they did not care about comfort, the bathroom was very small(not like the photos) and there was not any place to support your toothbrush or travel kit . There was a nice modern TV, but most of the channels were not working. No soap in the bathroom, you had to open a gel sachet to wash your hands. It was not possible to regulate the water temperature in the shower (too hot). Terrace had not been cleaned in weeks. Staff in Posada de la Luna next door (the hostal does not have any staff) was not very friendly.
Review 59:The decor was nice. Good location, close to the historic center. We could park our car in the street.
Review 60:Very helpful and spoke English. Gave me a map and pointed out the places of interest etc on arrival. Although small rooms, modern clean and simple design makes it feel spacious.
Review 61:You have to remember that the check in is down the block at a hotel of another name. We booked it a while ago and forgot. Would be good if they had a note on the door.
Review 62:This was great value and in a very good location. The room was modern and comfortable.
Review 63:However, staff mistook a towel I brought myself for a towel of the hotel and took it from the room. As I was leaving really early, I couldn't do anything about this, anymore.
Review 64:The bed was excellent and the breakfast was really nice.
Review 65:Parking is a bit tricky but walk 100-200m and it's also free and safe. Our room faced a large religious foundation secondary school sports compound, looks like a prison yard but the fencing is to keep people out not in - off-putting until you realse what it is. Key access a bit awkward for two people. The private garage is extra. Backstreets behind the hotel frequented by interesting looking young (...) ladies.
Review 66:Huesca is a lovely city perfectly situated to visit some dramatic landscapes and historic sites. The hotel at first seems to be in a bad location, but this is not so, it's a very short walk to the city centre and there's a little 'locals' bar serving set menu dinners for 10 euros including wine (bottle for two) and coffee just next door. It is a 'hostal' (no reception or service within the building) but super modern design and decor, a satellite for a hotel 50 metre away, and this provided excellent breakfasts with unlimited fresh squeezed orange juice. Very good wifi connection.
Review 67:Rooms a bit small. Little chance of on street parking.
Review 68:Really funky rooms - but also comfortable. Newly refurbished. Free wifi. Car park really close by and not too tight.
Review 69:Missing lift
Review 70:Placement near the historical downtown of Huesca
Review 71:Not clear on parking but good once explained.
Review 72:Staff very helpfull
Review 73:Nothing, all OK
Review 74:Fairly central location, free overnight on street parking available
Review 75:Very friendly, English speaking staff. New facility. Quite basic but very comfortable. Very good breakfast .
