Reviews for Hotel Posada de Valdezufre

Review 1:Not a bad experience, but the bathroom was a little small and the shower was not great.

Review 2:Very friendly staff. Everyone made us very welcome. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area. Dinner and breakfast were fantastic.

Review 3:Booking.com gave me GPS coordinates on my original reservation that landed us 65km away from the hotel in the middle of the countryside and 25km from the nearest proper road!!!! Of course, couldn't speak to anyone when I phoned to complain!

Review 4:Lovely staff, comfortable and spacious rooms, great food and well presented and stocked breakfast buffet. Just a little off the beaten track but worth it.

Review 5:Dinner menu poor, and breakfast quality very poor. Shocked to hear that a couple slept with 2 dogs in their bedroom, 1 on the bed.

Review 6:The hotel was decidedly average.

Review 7:N/A

Review 8:This is a fine example of real Spain where the Spanish stay. Wonderful setting, very helpful and friendly staff who managed to put up with my limited Spanish. Traditional Spanish food. Hotel is in a small white washed village, very pretty with oranges growing on the trees in the street,

Review 9:wifi would not support two tablets. whilst the rooms were very comfortable they had some problems with lack of maintenance. two power outlets adjacent to the writing table and two lights did not work.

Review 10:good atmosphere with helpful staff and comfortable rooms

Review 11:couldnt fault it

Review 12:Charming characterful old building with high ceilinged rooms and tasteful old world decor.Made to feel at home by the friendly relaxed staff.Nice pool in the gardens .Creeper clad balcony opens out from the bar/lounge area . Food was excellent .Especially liked pork medallions with local serrano ham

Review 13:A bit difficult to find even with GPS and some ambient road noise but would not hesitate to go back.

Review 14:Nice village location but convenient for Aracena.lovely swimming pool, comfortable rooms and good home cooked food.

Review 15:Be aware! The wall of the swimming pool is next to the n-433 motorwayconnecting Portugal with Sevilla. Hotel is located on the corner of a30-housed village next to this motorway. Big Trucks are being parkedovernight by resting truckers ibn front of our window! Double glassedwindows and ac switched full on did not give us ability to sleep. Lightsof passing traffic on motorway shine straight into bedroom. The entiredescription on booking.com creates a complete different expectation:stay away!

Review 16:Coziness and authenticity of interior

Review 17:TV in the dining area. I would prefer a meal without the noise of football on large TV. It should be in a separate room. Walls thin so could hear running water (baths, toilets etc) fortunately after 11 all our neighbours were quiet.

Review 18:Good location for exploring the national park area, the caves at Aracena are worth a visit. Hotel clean, food good, staff helpfull. Would stay again.

Review 19:In this pleasant and very friendly place we appreciated hospitality, good food and refreshing pool. We would recommend it to anyone for an overnight stop while traveling this way between Spain and Portugal allowing for an evening visit of Aracena, we also recommend a short stop in Cortelazor.

Review 20:The evening staff. After checking out, we couldn't stay only two more hours at the swimming-pool. If we wanted to stay we had to take lunch there!!!

Review 21:Very nice place. Vintage decoration so pretty. The morning staff.

Review 22:Restaurant meal disappointing standard - amateurish combinations.

Review 23:Location, terrace and pool and homely charm.

Review 24:Nicely decorated building and charming garden. Good breakfast and nice on-site restaurant. Very friendly service.

Review 25:Poor WiFi

Review 26:The sparrows and wagtails

Review 27:The restaurant was closed and we had not wanted to drive elsewhere. We will check this beforehand the next time we visit

Review 28:High quality, Dux (Swiss) beds in beautiful room 11. Wisteria terrace overlooking pool and garden. Elegantly furnished house with luxurious comfy sofas and fine antiques. Our dogs welcome.

Review 29:Worth much more than it's official star rating

Review 30:The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. The staff were a delight and helpful. Our dinner was superb; our breakfast was as good as we had hoped. The room was large and came with a BATH in the bathroom! Our medium-size dog was made instantly at home.

Review 31:The hotel was a bit " not in the country and not in the town". Had it been more secluded or more in the town we may have stayed two or more nights as the region is beautiful.

Review 32:The food was excellent local food. Best we've had so far on this tour. The room was comfortable.

Review 33:Noise of the traffic. Not enough staff on duty to cope with guests needs The wi fi connection did not work at all. We were given code but did not get any service. We would have not booked this hotel if we had realised this

Review 34:We liked the staff, food and rooms lovely location but too noisy !

Review 35:Nothing to dislike!

Review 36:Very nice hotel in a fun old farm building. Spotlessly clean and run by an incredibly friendly and helpful family. Not a top-notch hotel, but it doesn't claim to be and is, overall, excellent value for money.

Review 37:Leaving
