Reviews for Hotel Comte Tallaferro

Review 1:Difficult access with car: at entry to town is a notice saying 'no admittance without authorisation' with a bollard in the road blocking the way. Later the hotel advised us to enter (without authorisation), unload our luggage, and exit again to park outside the town walls. A time-wasting & unnecessary maneuver, repeated on departure. The hotel should give a parking permit to clients (our hotel in central Girona did this). Inadequate service: hotel closed from 10 pm to 9 am (no service for 11 hours). No dinner available ('go to another hotel 1/2 kilometre away') and no breakfast before 9 am. None of these problems mentioned on website of hotel or on Booking.com. Not acceptable service from a hotel with 3 stars.

Review 2:Receptionist was friendly, spoke good English.

Review 3:I have read some very negative statements about this hotel I assume that some people just like to whine! The staff were great, the room was fine, the bathroom roomy and the shower worked and it was centrally located. Just do not eat at the touristy eateries in the main square!

Review 4:If your catering staff present themselves in what appear to be hand me downs from a vagrant it does not inspire confidence in their handling of the food!

Review 14:Nice staff, good breakfast.

Review 15:The hotel was a little bit 'tired' with a bathroom that needs an upgrade and not the most comfortable bed. Such a shame that such a lovely location is not being maximised; even the 'curb appeal' needs a look with dead plants in the window boxes not a great first impression.
