Reviews for Parador de Ribadeo

Review 1:The dinner was mediocre but that was perhaps due in part to a wedding reception being held in the next room-also my experience is that food is very variable in paradors.

Review 2:This parador is nicely located on an estuary, with a garden and attractive views from the restuaurant and bars.

Review 3:Outside of building not as attractive as inside but do not be put off by the outside.

Review 4:The interior décor was good and very traditional. Loved the situation of our room with the glass enclosed balcony seating area. Lovely grounds. Great free parking and wifi. Short walk into town centre and port

Review 5:Bed was a little firm for my own taste but that is a matter of opinion?

Review 6:Great room with excellent balcony (external and internal) Clean well furnished. Elegant public areas. Pleasant staff. Great food in the bar at good price. Free car parking.

Review 14:Charming and beautiful. Great food too.

Review 15:Evening meal was nice but there should have more vegetables with the Main meal

Review 16:Breakfast is excellent

Review 17:The view is of a working timber wharf with bright lights 24/7

Review 18:The size of the room

Review 19:Children screaming all day long.

Review 20:Room

Review 21:See above

Review 22:Lunch on the patio overlooking the estuary

Review 23:Lovely hotel, with lovely rooms and excellent view

Review 24:lack air conditioning (crucial in summertime) and mainly aged customers

Review 25:the position, the personnel, the view

Review 26:We do think the booking in experience could be better.

Review 27:The bar and restaurant staff were friendly, professional, generally very good. Food was excellant.

Review 28:The two large balconies with the rooms were a pleasant surprise. The first is completely enclosed from the weather with a terrific view of the water, and the second just outside offers the same view with fresh air.

Review 29:Was originally given a "non smoking" room that smelled like aSpanish disco back in the 1990'S. My room was exchanged uponrequest, but if the hotel had been full it would have been a nightmare

Review 30:Very nice personnel but not amongst the best Paradores, facility looks abit dated. Excellent restaurant, though...

Review 31:the cost is not so comfortable but is probably reasonable

Review 32:High level hotel with professional stuff, great view, very good breakfasts and restaurant menue

Review 33:The room with terrace and enclosed seating area was beyond my expectations. The bedroom was very comfortable indeed. Also, the restaurant manager went out of his way to accommodate my request for certain fish dishes for which they did not charge me extra. I paid for 1/2 board. All the staff were charming and helpful. I would certainly stay there again if I visited that part of Spain in the future. I commend every aspect of this Parador.

Review 34:The hotel had a very nice view. All the rooms booked had a balkony / consercatory, so we enjoyed the time there as well as in the spacious rooms. Rooms were clean, the furniture can be described as vintage without being "worn", the beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, you can hear when your room neighbours are taking a shower or talking loudly. But i think that this is common in Spain, in some older buildings resp. The breakfast had enough variety, fruits were fresh and juices freshly made. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help.

Review 35:If you choose a cheap room, you get no view at all. Basically, you willbe looking at a wall. Other than that, you can upgrade for another 15euro... And you will have a nice view.Tha staff was obnoxious. Very different from other places we stayed in spain...

Review 36:The restaurant. We paid €101 before a tip for a very mediocre dinner with wines. Breakfast was pretty ordinary and cost €32. This was for two people.

Review 37:Room 220 with its enclosed terrace and wonderful view. Also the very friendly welcome at Reception.

Review 38:For a Parador it was reasonably priced, although the building doesnt have the same history as some others. Great views. I enjoyed having balcony/consercatory in my room so I could enjoy the view anytime. Good, prompt service from all staff.

Review 39:This Parador may not be the most beautiful building but the location is lovely. Our room which was overlooking the river, was huge, as was the bathroom, and had a large glassed in balcony. The restaurant and bar/cafe area are also very attractive. The cafe is a real plus as it offers a selection of food such as club sandwiches, until 11pm.

Review 40:A modern Parador but superbly furnished with antiques, very wellsituated with extensive river and mountain views. The dock right infront of the hotel surprised us but did not cause any noise andprovided interest. The food and service in the dining room was the bestreceived at any Parador, and b&b for about £85 was superb value. Dosign up in advance to a Parador Amigos card which provides free parkingas well as a free drink, The Mesa card for 75 euros is superb value asit provides dinner for two with a bottle of wine, water and coffee andis worth about 90-100 Euros but is not well publicised but available ateach Parador.

Review 41:Disappointed with the evening meal. The starter was delicious but the main course was a let down and not good value for money. Would be nice to have sun loungers

Review 42:Good position for the town, nice big rooms with balcony.

Review 43:Although renovated lacks charm in the rooms. No air conditioning and rooms can get warm.

Review 44:Location was excellent. Beautiful views and situated for relaxation and countryside sightseeing. Great beaches and restaurants. Love paradors. Balcony rooms a plus they also accommodated a change of plans due to death in family.

Review 45:Would have helped if staff had explained that instead of being the onlypeople in the vast dining room we could have eaten in the pleasant andmore busy bar area.

Review 46:Nice Parador - not an old interesting building but a good location andnicely set out. We had a lovely room with lots of space and beautifulbathroom and glass filled balcony overlooking the sea. We did havebreakfast which was very good - a varied buffet with enough choice tosuit everyone - pricey though! We did opt to eat in the dining room onthe one evening we were there - a bit over priced and fussy - we shouldhave eaten in the bar area which would be a better choice.
