Reviews for O Cabazo

Review 1:There was nothing we didn't like !!!!

Review 2:What did we like? Everything, The staff were very helpful, the hotel was very clean, were ate in the restaurant and had an excellent meal with sound advice from the young man (spoke fluent english) regarding wine, All in all a wonderful experience and well recommended.

Review 3:This is a beautiful hotel. Lovely big rooms with gorgeous views, spotlessly clean, really classy decor, lots of parking and an excellent restaurant. Staff are friendly and professional too. There's a supermarket a five-minute walk away which is also where the historic centre begins. And make sure you go to Cathedral Beach!

Review 4:Loved this hotel Lovely big rooms Had the most fantastic dinner there . Make sure if you stay in Ribadeo that you have dinner at this hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Review 5:Nothing

Review 6:Very gracious hosts, beautiful room with terrace and view of the river and lovely grounds surrounding the hotel. Absolutely immaculate and wonderful furnishings in the room, lobby and halls.

Review 7:Late opening of restaurant - 9pm. 8pm would have been better for us

Review 8:Staff were attentive and friendly, food was excellent. Service was excellent all round

Review 9:The restaurant didn't open until 9pm at night which was a little late for us but not a showstopper either!

Review 10:Loved this hotel, a real gem. Staff were extremely friendly & couldn't do enough for you. The food & wine was amazing & great value for money. The rooms are huge and really comfortable. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Review 11:The neighbors across the parking lot have two large dogs who occasionally at night enjoy barking into the dark.

Review 12:Juan and Sra. López were wonderful hosts. Sr. López answered our public transportation question by taking the time to investigate and write out the schedule of departure options - with a smile. They and their staff made dining fun. It was as if we and the other parties present were seen as long-lost relatives dropping by for a visit.

Review 13:The safe in our room did not work properly. Only 3 numbers of the 10 digits actually worked on the display. We found the beds a bit too hard and made me wake up with pain in my back

Review 14:The hotel has a huge parking were you can easily park your car and it is for free. The hotel looks very nice and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast in the hotel is good and enough per person. The rooms are clean. The hotel is not far located from the centre. Just one tip. To eat a tapa you can stay in the centre. If you want to eat good and sit down, then you can eat really good in the hotel itself or walk down to the port and go to one of the good restaurants over there. La Solana and the San Miguel (with view over the water) are really good.

Review 15:We have stayed at this hotel in the past. We come back to it due to friendly staff, good food, comfortable rooms with superb bathroom facilities. Air con which worked and we really needed it due to the high summer temperatures. The breakfasts at this hotel are really good. No buffet-its served to you with five choices from the menu but the amount of food is amazing. The evening meals are also well portioned but beware the bread- its so good you eat more than you should

Review 16:This is a modern hotel that has been tastefully designed and equipped, a short walk from the town centre. We had a spacious air-conditioned room and en-suite that was spotlessly clean There were wonderful views of the river estuary from our balcony. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient.

Review 17:The restaurant did not open in the evening until 9pm

Review 18:Staff very helpful. A lovely large room in a lovely modern hotel, overlooking the river. Comfortable bed. Near to the small town centre and close to large supermarkets. Very good value for money.

Review 19:Restaurant closed on Sunday night when we were there . GPS had trouble finding it . Dont know why because it certainly wasn't hidden even though it is in a close in suburb .

Review 20:Well appointed . Lovely view of the river from our room.Well lit room . So many rooms we have had in Spain are poorly lit . Secure parking and free . Looks like a big country hotel but a very short walk to centre . Excellant value .

Review 21:Fixed shower screen on bath made getting in and out difficult for someone with limited mobility.

Review 22:Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and good food. Portions at dinner were enormous. Excellent breakfast especially for the price/

Review 23:Good hotel in Ribadeo, though in quiet side road. Very clean and comfortable, with excellent food. Short walk to estuary, and marina with some good restuarants in the area, and beaches.

Review 24:Head waiter in the dining room was not really up to scratch, otherwise we could not criticise anything.

Review 25:The situation of the hotel was about a 15 min walk from the station (FEVE). Plenty of car parking on site and a lovely garden. Our bedroom was very comfortable and the food was excellent. Eat in here.

Review 26:Very friendly owner and staff. Hotel spotlessly clean. Dinner menu v good and food to match, ditto breakfast. Excellent facilities. Rooms large and very well appoined

Review 27:Is this for O'Cabazo or Ureta? Both are noted on this same form. The Owner of both places was extremely accommodating and the rooms were beautiful. I would definitely stay there again and recommend to all who visit the region.

Review 28:Very convenient for sights. Very helpful staff. good value for money. Quiet location

Review 37:Veery clean and comfortable with ample private car parking

Review 38:Disappointing breakfast and evening meals

Review 39:Good sized room. Beautifully appointed bathroom. Serene location. Helpful staff

Review 40:Comfort and welcome

Review 41:TV not in dimension with room size.

Review 42:A bit of a soul-less hotel with cheap furnishings. Wifi poor. Not honouring request for double bed.

Review 43:Clean, large rooms. Fluffiness of towels.

Review 44:Well run hotel. Good standard of facilities. Excellent restaurant. Good size rooms with good view.

Review 59:Uninspiring breakfast arrangements.

Review 60:Friendly staff, excellent dinner, very nice room.

Review 61:Excellent service and a beautiful room. I would definitely recommend it.

Review 62:Usual Spanish 9.00 dinner time; rather late for us elderly brits!

Review 63:Magnificent suite

Review 64:Everything. One of the best that we stayed at on our 14 days tour.

Review 65:Hospitality, food quality, price, tidiness, very spacious rooms. I would have paid twice for the same services. The owners work side by side with the rest of the staff and they really seam to put a high price on customer satisfaction. The entire facility is nicely decorated, giving you a cozy, familiar feeling. Everything seams brand new, although I understood that they have been in business for a while. The beds are large and comfortable and the baby crib they installed in our room was pretty solid.

Review 66:nothing

Review 67:We had a beautiful superior room with view of the sea and countryside, very quiet. The staff are very attentive. We slept with the large windows open. The hotel has a good outdoor area for sitting and a good restaurant for a lite breakfast. It is beautifully decorated, light and airy. The hotel is within walking distance of town and the sea food restaurants in the Port area. Ribadeo is a good location for touring the north coast of Spain. and seeing the spectacular sea areas.

Review 68:no complaints at all, everything was perfect.

Review 69:everything was amazing, no complaints at all! the staff was extra polite and friendly, the guy on the desk told us the story of the place and the old building. the hotel itself is incredibly beautiful and decorated in a way that makes you feel like home. the room was enormous and with a balcony with an amazing view on the sea and the river. and the restaurant was beyond words, everything we ate was delicious and good value. would definitely stay there again.

Review 70:The restaurant did not serve dinner until 9 pm, and the prices werehigh. I would recommend dining elsewhere.

Review 71:The spacious and comfortable room was among the best we had in Europe, and for the price, it was the best. There was a very nice view from theroom, and a large and safe parking area.

Review 72:Nothing we didn't like

Review 73:A most enjoyable one night stay which was of the Beaton track for most travellers from Australia. Our very excellent waiter, who happened to be Romanian, was very friendly and helpfull. Spanish hospitality is the best.

Review 74:Liked everything. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in the area.

Review 75:Should be rated as a solid 4 star +. One of the nicest rooms on our recent trip to Spain and Portugal. Great value and very nice restaurant. Very helpful staff. Owner worked front desk and restaurant.

Review 76:Only that we couldn't stay longer

Review 77:Lovely modern hotel within 100 m of the main street (although you wouldn't know it). Very helpful staff wonderful food, although the breakfast was a bit small

Review 78:Some noise from Salon downstairs. Some noise from terrace cafe.

Review 79:Wonderful staff. Excellent rooms. WITH AC. Great location near A8 for exploring Asturian/Galician coast.

Review 80:Absolutely nothing!

Review 81:This lovely hotel is situated in a very quiet residential street away from the centre but within walking distance too. Such a surprise entering what looks like a very ordinary building. Amazing place! Beautifully renovated with lots of high quality oak in the rooms and stairways. Lift to upper floor too. Super clean and fresh with lemon trees bursting into fruit at the rear of the building. We received a very warm welcome from the lady on reception, as well as the very gracious owner. Huge well appointed balconied bedroom and modern spacious bathroom with everything you need including large white bath sheets and free wi-fi! Delightful views of the estuary and grazing fields. Prior to dining we took the 15 min walk to the lovely peaceful harbour. Dinner – wonderful value at Eu20 and a well stocked cellar too. The chocolate cream dessert was heaven for chocoholics!. Excellent private parking at rear too. As with all hotels in Galicia this was tip top value.

Review 82:The hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient. The manager and staffwere very helpful and welcoming. We were upgraded to a lovely room witha balcony as the standard rooms were fully booked that night.

Review 83:The manager is very eager to "sell" the restaurant, you might feel a pres to eat there instead of trying one of the many restaurants in Ribadeo,

Review 84:Fine, large rooms with balconies facing the ria. Restaurant good, fresh fish. About 5-8 mins walk to centrum.

Review 85:Dogs barking in the neighbourhood most of the night.

Review 86:Modern well equipped hotel 10-15 minutes walk from the centre of town and port. Plentiful free parking in the hotel grounds.

Review 87:Nice looking bathroom but things didn't always work well. impossible to run a bath. Hot water takes too long to work its way through the system.

Review 88:Close to town centre. Good restaurant.

Review 89:A wonderful room - vast and with a balcony, sea view and a luxurious bathroom. Immaculately clean and a very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant was busy, altho' we stayed in October, so a good atmosphere and also lovely food. The waiter, obviously busy, still found time to be attentive and he spoke excellent English! Great all round,

Review 90:Best hotel we have stayed at in Portugal and Spain so far. Delightful staff and lovely accommodations. Quiet, country -like location, but only a short walk into town.

Review 91:There was nothing to complain about.

Review 92:The hotel rooms and staff were very good and the chef cunjured up a most excellent dinner even though it was a bit pricey we would do it again.

Review 93:The hotel owner and staff were very friendly and helpful, they made usfeel most welcome. They offered a room upgrade at no extra cost, whichwe gladly accepted. The room was very spacious and comfortable with anice view. We stayed at 7 hotels during our round trip, and o Cabazo wasthe one we enjoyed the most. We would not hesitate to stay here again ifwe visit this side of Spain again and we would recommend this hotel tofriends and family anytime. Thanks for making our stay such a treat!

Review 94:breakfast was good but with limited flexibility

Review 95:A stylish welcoming hotel on the outskirts of a pleasant town. Lovely views from the balcony of our bedroom over farmland and the estuary of the river which divides Asturias and Galicia.

Review 96:This is an excellent modern hotel very well furnished . It has an excellent carvpark , is within walking distance to the town , and has a well priced restaurant. Highly recommend

Review 97:Friendly staff; good facilities for business and leisure travellers; close to centre of town but with a country feeling; good food; excellent value allround. I hve stayed many times at the Parador in Ribadeo but was recommended to try O Cabazo and glad I did. Compared with the Parador this hotel is more contemprary in style, offers much better value, but has everything needed for a comfortable stay.
