Reviews for Hostal El Volante
Review 1:A safe location, with two supermercados nearby. Has a sitting room in the reception lobby.Has own restaurant across the road. Only had coffee and croissants there in the morning. Can't comment on meals quality.
Review 2:(!) Difficulty gaining admission to Hostal- only for local shop assistant we may not have accessed the property (2) worse was to follow - nasty reception given by the male receptionist on Monday 14/9/15- enquired if we could read or speak English ?- then instructed us to take a rest in our room before we checked in - worse reception we have ever had in all our years of travelling- would not recommend this establishment to anyone
Review 3:A clean modern room with bathroom just off the Camino route. Very welcoming owner who made my stay comfortable. Also really efficient and cheap laundry service which was ideal.
Review 4:Noise from upstairs. We could hear children running around in the apartment above. Lady at check in spoke no English but we managed. Owner was very rude to one of our party who had a problem with her reservation. He was very dismissive and hung up the phone on her. Make sure to have your reservation confirmation printed off.
Review 5:This place is about half a kilometer outside the town so you have a bit of a trek if you arrive by bus. It is very handy though if you are walking the camino because it is on the route. We had a lovely large clean room with a bathroom. Beds are comfy but are glorified camp beds all the same. There are supermarkets close by - handy for food for your camino lunch (closed Sundays though)
Review 6:This hostel in part of a much larger building. I received a very warm welcome. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Which a little outside the town centre it is still right on the Camino.
