Reviews for Hostal la Molina

Review 1:Noisy at night, lots of stray dogs barking and early morning delivery to cafe. Although food times were published we were disapointed that we were unable to get an evening meal and had to rely on the excellent Tapas. There were several restaurants in Alora which we used and enjoyed.

Review 2:Good access from main road with plenty of on street parking. Good cafe attached for food but see other comment.

Review 3:The industrial park is not the best location but have good views to Alora. Absolut value for the money though. If you are with a car its only 10mins from the city

Review 4:Clean and tidy

Review 5:I stayed overnight on a cycling trip. It was perfect for me. The bed was comfortable and the staff were lovely. It is situated above a bat/restaurant which serves exceptionally good value dinner, beer and breakfast. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Review 6:The location, in an industrial estate, is less than great, but walk 5 minutes and you are in rural countryside. It is about 6km from the town centre, but there is a bus x5 a day, except on Sundays; cost 1.55 Euros.

Review 7:The very friendly staff, good traditional food and fantastic value for money. One of them did my washing and refused to take any payment.

Review 8:smoking in the bar which is the dinning room also..no clear directions to hostal, anyone going dont take 1st turning for alora stay on road to roundabout turn left next roundabout straight on to bellavista about 3 mls to where hostal is on the left on industrial park

Review 9:staff, cleanliness of rooms

Review 10:Staff was not prepared for our arrival (we were expected the next day) Breakfast included but no menu to choose from Location on an industrial estate not ideal No view from room

Review 11:Not well sign posted. Sat Nav took us to the middle of the river. It was hidden in the olive mill site which looks a bit industrial at night time, but fine in day light.

Review 12:Chicken supper . Friendly. Clean good Spanish breakfast in its cafe. The owner phoned a friend to understand our request in English. Very good price.

Review 13:At 7AM everything was closed so we cant eat the breakfast. At the board it stated that breakfasts are from 7AM

Review 14:Friendly personnel, quiet place

Review 15:THE AREA WAS VERY SCENIC.THE ACCESS TO MAIN ROUTES WAS VERY GOOD.

Review 16:The atmosphere was very relaxing. Enjoyed my visit.

Review 17:Shower head broken and breakfast basic but hey only 20 Euro no complaints

Review 18:Room clean and tidy

Review 19:unfriendly, located in an industrial estate, all in all absolutely not recommendable.

Review 20:free parking

Review 21:v noisy doors..banging

Review 22:cleaned daily,good wi.fi....

Review 23:No lift that I could see, didn´t ask though.

Review 24:The room was very large and clean, minimalistic but worth the money.

Review 25:Alora is a lovely mountain village and well worth a visit. Unfortunately you won't see much of Alora if you stay here. It is approx. 5km from the centre and is on an industrial estate in the middle of nowhere. The bar is popular with lorry drivers who all smoked in the bar. Dinner was advertised in the café from 7 to 10 and there was a menu on the wall, but at 8.30 we were told there was no dinner. We had to buy cake and donuts! We ate them outside as the bar was too smoky. At breakfast we asked for tea with milk and toast. The lady brought us green tea with milk! After 20 minutes and after several lorry drivers had come in and had been served breakfast, I asked again for toast with butter and jam. We were very surprised to be given toasted French bread with ham and tomato. The "mountain view" from our room was actually a view of the roof of the property next door. There was a terrace but it could not be accessed because the door was locked and the key in the door would not open it.

Review 26:The hostal section was clean. There is free parking outside.

Review 27:Remote location, good if you want to stay in the area. A bit "industrial" compound, maybe not so charming on the outside, otherwise ok place.

Review 28:Internet access, low room price, clean and good rooms.

Review 29:no english speaking staff Also, the address freaked out my GPS. it told me to go though Alora old town, so be careful with that.

Review 30:very spacious room, private bathroom, bar right below - what more do you want :)

Review 31:Very basic (but, I guess, so was the price charged) - furniture in room very minimal - no tea/coffee facilities in room - rooms are above huge bar that seems to cater for the local industrial estate personnel (surprised to find a motel on an industrial estate - no clue given in the blurb) - and was open until midnight, and the noises from the bar echoed into the room - early morning (about 7) all the entrance doors slammed at the arrival of the staff, waking everybody - not the best of stays! Only the one pillow, sadly - uncomfortable neck all night. No mosquito screens on the one window - hence a closed window all night, no fresh air so had air-con on most of the night, and it was noisy of course, turned it off at around 4 am to try to sleep! Very disturbed night therefore, but it was only one night ...... not the end of the world! Breakfast ........... well, good luck!

Review 32:Room was very clean and beds were comfortable (apart from the lack of pillows). Air conditioning very efficient, albeit noisy. Shower/water supply fine. Sadly, can't think of anything else to say in its favour - see things we didn't like. However, for a cheap stay, for one night, it's OK if you have a memory like mine .......... i.e. I forget things rather quickly (due to age), recover, and "move on"! I wouldn't recommend more than one night, though!

Review 33:The hostel staf were excellent and friendly .also the location of mountines .resturant wa great and cheap.

Review 34:Pretty far from Alora and train station.

Review 35:Very nice staff. Nice rooms.

Review 36:The staff and the very comfortable room

Review 37:not very romantic building / location

Review 38:The friendliness / hospitality!!! but clean/good rooms

Review 39:a good selection of rooms above a restaurante and bar. good atmosphere really enjoyed my stay
