Review 1：Room number 1 is very noisy. The owner lives above it and there is just a wooden floor that divides the rooms. You can clearly hear every single movement. For example we have been waken up every morning by their alarm at 6 am. The staff is disinterested and unprofessional. Difficult to find the property.

Review 3：Superb B&B. Friendly host. Lovely spacious room and bathroom. Fabulous breakfast freshly prepared. Property is located up a steep hill,so fantastic views. We chose to walk into town, which is ok on the way down, but not for the feint-hearted on the walk back up as its a very steep lane.

If you go by Arroka Berri Restaurant on your right, go another 1K and there's a tiny sign on left to make turn. Keep going straight on that and maybe you can figure out which place it is. There is also a tiny drive on the left of the parking area for the restaurant that will lead you up-- but it is tiny and steep. once you figure out the first way you'll be ok

Review 23：The Higeralder is in a fantastic location and the property is in outstanding condition, we only stayed the one night , but was made so welcome, the breakfast was very very good, but the service was even better, thank you to the host.

Review 24：Loved the stay very much, the host was most helpful with anything you asked of him. Very clean, comfortable and spacious room. I could not fault it, and in a few weeks I believe, there will be a small bar opened for guests to enjoy.

Review 25：We have stayed three times and eight nights in total over a ten month period. I feel I should point out a couple of things. Both rooms we have stayed in have some mould on the ceilings in the shower rooms which would not take long to sort out. The heating was inadequate and I had to ask to have it turned on at seven in the evening (mid feb) It then came on at 2.30am and the rumble could be heard in our room. I would also ask future guests to be considerate when closing doors. They are substantial and can echo through the house when slammed.

Review 26：The location is without doubt one of the best places you will ever find, stunning views over the town and into France with La Rhune as a backdrop. Bixente is a very amiable host who provides a very good service and an excellent breakfast.

Review 49：We arrived at Higeralde without any problem, if you remember it has a view looking down on the harbour there is only one road it can be on and you follow the signs to Higeralde. The views from the balcony are great even better if the nearly dead tree came down. Super clean, quiet, spacious rooms, 7ft bed with an excellent common sense shower. Michel cooked a delicious pork supper with a tasty salad to start, bring your own or drink good his Spanish wines Breakfast very continental . Good parking, very friendly host who works very hard, the day we left Michel celebrated 8 years at Higeralde without any holidays. He puts a lot of effort into the comfort of his guests and this is reflected in the high feedback he receives.

Most every other thing is also good - everything 's clean, amenities are modern, room has bunch of space and very cozy at the same time. Breakfast - tasty and good even for a vegetarian (which has not been planned in advance and which is uneasy usually in a meat-fish oriented area which the basque country is). It was definitely the best place we stayed at during the whole journey.

We also had a private terrace but unfortunately the weather wasn't quite warm enough to make the most of it. The cleanliness was first class. Review 121：The approach road to the accommodation is always a bit of a challenge as it is quite steep with little signage however this road is now closed for repair and the alternative route is even steeper - but still well worth it!! We'll be back.

Review 122：We've stayed here twice previously and still find the view absolutely breathtaking. The weather was good enough on our arrival for us to enjoy a glass of wine outside on the terrace. We walked down into Hondarribia where we enjoyed tapas at one of the local bars. The bed is huge and very comfortable, also the rooms seem to be well insulated as we heard no noise from other rooms. Breakfast, as usual, was served at the kitchen table where out host chatted to us whilst he prepared the food. A beautiful spot and somewhere ideal to spend a few days with flights flying into San Sebastian airport a short distance away.

Our large comfortable room with excellent spacious en suite facilities had it's own terrace overlooking the bay with absolutely spectacular views. Fantastic value for money.
