Review 1：The bathrooms could use some new furnishings and the walls could have some more sound isolation.

Review 6：Excellent. We drove over 2,000 miles throughout Germany and Austria and stayed in 10 hotels. Hotel Maximilian was our favorite! Friendly staff immediately made us feel welcome. The hotel is in a quiet village in a beautiful setting. We could see the castle of Neuschwanstein and the mountains from our balcony. Our room was large and very comfortable. The dining room was closed on Sunday but we were directed to a nearby (walking distance) restaurant on the lake. Returned to the hotel and had a drink in the cozy bar. The dining room is large and bright. Breakfast was very good. There is a spa and a swimming pool but we didn't have the time to use them. We only stayed 1 night and wished we had more time to enjoy the hotel and the region.

SHOPPING = everything you needed from grocery stores to clothing shopping FRIENDLY PEOPLE at the hotel and in town EATING OUT = great restaurants surrounding the town with great German food CASTLES = easy to get into and tours are frequent, cost is low

Review 10：The place was amazing. We traveled through France and stayed in Munich 1 night before staying here. This place was much more than I could have asked for bike rental for $5 per day! You can go anyplace on that thing!! It's such a friendly little community and out on the main road is loads of little shops. The castles are very close. You can get a bus back to fussen for a few euros. The breakfast was one of the BEST we have had so far. They have a spa area also massages and sauna. Just amazing. Wish I could have stayed longer but will be back!

Review 23：Everything was fantastic! The area is so lovely and the people so friendly. We biked all over place with the bikes we rented at the hotel. I love this amenity. Great breakfast and they gave us a teapot to use in the room. It was like we had our little cabin. Perfect.
