Review 1：Communal areas not good for cleanliness esp swimming pool. Ask staff to order a cab and they said no, get you own on the street. Cab drivers kept taking me to wrong hotel, so had to carry map at all times.

Review 5：The first room we were assigned had an AC unit that didn't produce cold air. We were switched to another room which was better. The sliding glass door in that room didn't seal to the sides so air and noise came in at all times. The noise wasn't much of a problem and the air neither actually. The first room had the doors taped to seal them so it seems to be a common problem to these two rooms.
Review 6：The Hotel Galapagos Islands is a good hotel to stay for a short layover at a reasonable price. The room was large, the bed was comfortable, the location is good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the neighborhood. WiFi in Puerto Ayora seems to be about medium speed no matter where you stay judging by our two separate hotels. Also, it looks like most buildings are concrete so WiFi has a signal issue as well. At least it worked.

Review 12：Looks nothin like the advertised photos on various websites. Rooms have somewhat smelly carpet (it's a beach, go figure) and views of the ghetto you're in (not near the waterfront at all). Breakfast is only 7-8am, so if you want to sleep in, good luck. They also "offer" an earlier breakfast for those with tours, but ours never panned out.
