Reviews for Ammende Villa Hotel & Restaurant

Review 1:Unique and beautiful place to stay. Very, very friendly and helpful staff. They make you feel like home, nothing is too much asked. Excellent location between beach and centre. My time there was perfect: 10/10!

Review 2:The room was a bit dark and also because it is old, there is no elevator, so walking up the stairs every time was a bit inconvenient but not terrible.

Review 3:The staff was exceptionally friendly and spoke English very well. The location is less than a 10min walk away from the center. The hotel room itself was very clean and the amenities were also very nice.

Review 4:Nothing really, I suppose people cant without television, but its the only modern article in the room. Might better be hidden to preserve the perfect entourage and atmosphere.

Review 5:If you like an old style Jugendstil building, this is the place to go ! luxury and surrealistic authentic , just as if the rich owner comes walking through the door of the lounge. Fantastic.

Review 6:I stayed there on my way to Tallinn and back again 2 days later, i.e. on Sunday and Wednesday nights. I picked this hotel so that I did not have to look for a restaurant, but the restaurant was closed both times, and the staff could provide no assistance as to where to eat. Although i do like the building, then it is rather gloomy and not very comfortable. I can't imagine where the 5 star rating comes from.

Review 7:I do like old historic buildings, and this hotel certainly qualifies as such.

Review 8:Though they have a very good restaurant, unfortunately you have to make reservation in advanced.

Review 9:Very beautiful building and helpful staffs. They helped us to carry our luggages for 2 flights of stairs ! Bed is comfortable, breakfast is great. Nothing to complaint!

Review 10:While prossecco flows freely at breakfast the coffee doesnt. Restaurant slightly over priced but with fabulous wine selection.

Review 11:Beautiful Art Nouveau building lovingly restored..I enjoyed sitting around in different rooms ,reading in the tower room, deciding what to have for breakfast and lying down on the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. It was heartbreaking to leave

Review 12:Personnel in the restaurant is unfriendly, not smiling. I felt like I'm doing or saying something wrong. Prices are high.

Review 13:Great interior. Historical place, more museum than a hotel.

Review 14:if anything at all, then it should be noted that there is no elevator in the hotel, so if stairs are a problem, then maybe just try the restaurant.

Review 15:The ambiente was absolutely fabulous and thankfully the villa was mostly left "as is" and the interior was not turned into a hotellish design. The menu in the restaurant was reasonably different without being exotic or high-flying and way better the standard fare served in other places. Not cheap but definitely worth the experience!

Review 16:They wanted to charge for capuccino at breakfast. Made it seem like a low cost airline. They did not have the same good bread at breakfast as we had at the excellent meal the night beforel

Review 17:Staff was genuine. Property had character.

Review 18:Since it's an old wooden building the floor creaks rather loudly and on the 3d floor they have little round windows without curtains so you wake up early.

Review 19:It's like a museum. Fantastic decoration inside. Very good restaurant. Private parking.

Review 20:A magnificent and exclusively unique place! There exist numerous hotels located in historical buildings in the world, however here they are able to reconstruct not only interiors and furniture, but almost complete atmosphere of those days of early 20th century which is soundly felt everywhere from the very first steps in... dimmed light, ambient music (good classics and some jazz), lots of details in each attitude... Absolutely unreal experience! Sure they have WiFi and good parking facilities :) Wonderful dining opportunities (and very attractive prices for such high-level service). Very rich breakfast. And of course wonderful location not far from both the sea and the historical center of Pärnu.

Review 21:- NoSauna and swimming.pool, -No coffee maker in the room. -Not for a physically challenged people the rooms are on the 3 th floor,no elevator

Review 22:+Everything ok. +Best service ever, breakfast +good restaurant,niceroom.. +In hotel you feel to be like a part of history. They treat you asa royal person.

Review 23:Bathtub was not cleaned enough. but this is the only one bad thing.

Review 24:Well, the stuffs are full of hospitality, the hotel, let's say the villa is simply gorgeous. In our room a sauna room was equipted, which we could use 24hours privately. Also we fell in love with their pancakes which were freshly baked on demand. We will absolutely stay this villa someday again!

Review 25:Water pressure in the shower, breakfast needs a little bit more glamour, some speciliaties, maybe some local?

Review 26:The hole house.. like a small castle and very good personnel with right attitude to serving customers.good food at the restaurant

Review 27:Nothing to dislike, really.

Review 28:The hotel is just beautiful and the rooms stylish. Staff is extremely attentive and helpful. Breakfast is delicious. You get to enjoy all the concerts taking place at the villa.

Review 29:Some "old house" smell in room. Bathroom equipment is worn out a little (damaged WC seat). Relatively expensive.

Review 30:Staff is really polite and helpful. Location is perfect, close to beach and old town. Breakfast is good. Garden is really nice. Wifi is free and fast.

Review 31:Mostly oriented towards Russians and therefore e.g. no German TV-channel which is obviously not very important during vavation.

Review 32:Ammende Villa is a perfect place to discover Riga (we just took our bikes but train station is close by as wel)and at the same time relax at Jurmala. It is quite, very comfortable, clean and we appreciated the underground parking. WiFi and AC works perfect.

Review 33:Breakfast area small and overcrowded, we had to sit in a separate room. Breakfast poor in quality. Room was full of mosquitos and no anti repellant was provided although we asked for that. Staff was friendly but not efficient. Not a 5 star level.

Review 34:Good location

Review 35:Not a place with young kids :)

Review 36:Everything was great!

Review 37:No bad experience.

Review 38:Amazing place, good service, clean and quiet.

Review 39:Breakfast was too simple. Did not meet the overal level of the hotel.

Review 40:When I got in late the staff went out of there way to fix me something to eat and set it up very nicely.

Review 41:The perfect place! Highly recommend!

Review 42:Beautiful place with excellent service.

Review 43:Nothing to dislike

Review 44:Location, helpfulness of the personnel, room

Review 45:Very friendly and helpful staff, very nice rooms, great house, wonderfully furnished, walking distance to center.

Review 46:the room did not have a view, only a window high up.

Review 47:Jugendstil Manson, my conversationele with the bear, friendly service in restaurant.

Review 48:Service, stuff, style, comfort of the bed. all small details are in place. You will get what you paying for

Review 49:No lift. We have to climb on third floor with suitecases.

Review 50:Everything

Review 51:Sounds from neighboring room.

Review 52:Stylish, quiet boutique hotel in a good location.

Review 53:Everything was good. Breakfast was super!

Review 54:Guess this is one of the best experiences in Pärnu

Review 55:The renovated and well maintained building itself is fascinating, reflecting a historic period in Estonia.

Review 56:Dinner a little overpriced. An elevator would be nice!

Review 57:Breakfast was excellent. Terrific downstairs rooms for lounging and drinks.

Review 58:Ran out of milk for breakfast on Sunday!

Review 59:fantastic service

Review 60:I'm regret that we can not be located in the main building.

Review 61:The staff is friendly and breakfast is good.

Review 62:Service

Review 63:Design Location Architecture

Review 64:Old building Breakfast disorganized Old system Hotel restaurant too expensive

Review 65:Near the beach and restaurants. Car park

Review 66:A genuine period hotel, very relaxing with helpful staff. Chef has great ideas.

Review 67:Service and environment were awesome. Cleanliness was perfect and the room was well prepared. The kitchen must be one of the best ones in whole Estonia.

Review 68:The food was quite ordinary, the balance between the quality of food and the price is not fair, service excellent, though

Review 69:I liked the house, all the people in service

Review 70:It's a very special place ! Nice ambience , very friendly staff !! , convinient location , excellent breakfest. I was a guest in "Ammende" few times before and I will be in the future (happy customers always come back !)

Review 71:The room we had was a little dark, especially for reading at night.

Review 72:The setting of the hotel is superb as well as the historic details of the hotel We found the dinner menu a bit expensive, so we ate in town. Breakfast was very good.

Review 73:Unless we got the room for campaign price and I shouldn't complain, I must admit that the room we got needed some serious checkup. The doors of wardrobe didn't close (unless you lifted them), the shower was leaking and the small attic window was left open in manner it fell on my fingers when I slightly moved it. The hotel with so many stares shouldn't aloud that kind of oversights.

Review 74:I liked the location and historical building itself. The stuff was very friendly. According to style, comfort and location Ammende is absolutely the best choice in Pärnu.

Review 75:1.Summer season prices. 2.WiFi malfunctioning. Although it was said, that a word'd to room service'd settle the problem. Didn't check the option)

Review 76:A place to be. Service, architecture, cuisine, air, sea- all perfect.

Review 77:Itneeds a fresh up a bit....garden was not very nice and not in style...

Review 78:Nice we had the room 11: it has a nice sauna. Everithing was ok. Breakfast was very good!

Review 79:1.Friendly staff need to be,as well, Russian spoken; 2 Second TV in bedroom wouldn't be the extra one; 3. Sauna must be in order.

Review 80:Everything is nearly excellent, except 3 sudden details:

Review 81:the one thing that could have made this even better was if you had some tea making facilites in the room and finally a curtain or a blind over the porthole window.

Review 82:This hotel is spectacular,an absolute gemstone. The attention to detail in the decor and the furniture is exquisite. The staff are absolutely amazing and so helpful.Breakfast was a wonderful experience, from the waitressess removing the silver domes,to reveal the most delicious food!It is without doubt the best hotel i have ever stayed in.I also loved all the stuffed birds and animals!

Review 83:No mosquito net in the window. The breakfast could have been better.

Review 84:Liked the atmospere of the place: old and cute. Slept very well, better than at home, the bed was nice and comfortable.

Review 85:Restaurant was disappointment, bad price-quality,trainee-based service, small dishes.risotto and cheesecake(9 EUR for cake crumbs) were lousy.

Review 86:Nice building and history, also location

Review 87:Rooms need a bit of an upgrade, they are a bit tired looking, especially for the standard they propose to be.

Review 88:The history, old world things, the gardens, the music, the easy access to beach and town by foot.

Review 89:Very nice hotel, very comfortable room, cosy bar, fantastic restaurant, the food was excellent. Good breakfast and a very calm location, overall the stay was excellent. I would return.

Review 90:Nothing at all. I would go here every time.

Review 91:A stunning experience from the moment I stepped inside. The staff were brilliant; knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The decor was sublime, giving me a complete feel for the building's art nouveau origins. The food was fabulous yet everything was reasonably priced.

Review 92:This is best described as an excellent quality manor house with luxury type service and meals. The meals were gourmet and the service was superb. Most wonderful place we stayed on this trip!

Review 93:Everything was perfect.

Review 94:Everything was perfect - the staff was always polite and there when you put the first foot on the doorstep. The breakfast - served on a nice etagère - was delicious and offered a lot of variety. The bed was extremely comfortable and the villa itself very close to the beach.

Review 95:I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is fascinating. It is very rustic and the service was excellent. The staff were very helpful and the food in the restaurant, served by a very polite waiter in white gloves, was delicious.

Review 96:The Ammende is a beautiful mansion, perfectly situated right between the beach and the town. The dinner we had at the hotel was superb, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Review 97:We didn't anticipate that our relatively expensive 'deluxe' room turned to be at the very top of the hotel, actually in the attic, with a beautiful but not very comfortable interior: the slanted ceilings with a permanent danger to hit your head and creaking beds and floors. In my opinion, this room didn't cost as much as it was.

Review 98:Very interesting and impressive building and interiors. Educated and helpful staff. Good organization and quality of breakfast.

Review 99:Make sure that you are not placed in the gardener's house.

Review 100:It's like a museum - A place to visit for a short tour and a cup of coffee, not to stay overnight.

Review 101:5 star hotel? Should be 3 star. No small details what expect from 5 star hotel. Feels that everything is running down. Poor breakfast, overrated restaurant, poor bed which is unusual in 5 star hotel, curtains in the room like 1 star hotel etc..... This hotel is value for the money if price is at least doubly less.

Review 102:Beautiful old jugend villa with nice garden.Friendly staff. Good location.

Review 103:The building is in need of renovation in its near future.

Review 104:Ammende Villa is a charming Art Nouveau Villa in a park near the beaches of Parnu. The rooms were large and comfortable.

Review 105:nothing at all. It was fantastic

Review 106:Absolutely the best choice in Parnu. Brilliant accommodation and the chef is world class. The position of Ammende is perfect, between the beach and the old town. Very easy walking. Great value for money. We would highly recommend room 9 for its spaciousness and features.

Review 107:I stayed at Ammende Villa for a couple of nights and I wish we had beenable to cancel our flight back and stay longer.Having breakfast withbubbly and salmon is a must, also an exclusive dinner at the tower. It feels like time travelling a hundred years in the past. The service is very attentive, if I ever go back to Estonia, this will definitely be the reason why,

Review 108:It is a nice and unique place.

Review 109:Excellent food

Review 110:Great breakfast.

Review 111:The bed

Review 112:Exceptionally friendly service

Review 113:I liked everything in Ammende Villa hotel

Review 114:Staff was not aware of several prices, for example coffee.

Review 115:Breakfast, bathroom, bed.

Review 116:breakfast, reception

Review 117:Everything was great! My favourite hotel in Pärnu. Price during the winter time is also very customer friendly..

Review 118:super-lux-class accommodation!

Review 119:The bed had two matresses and two seperate blankets.

Review 120:good beakfast, stylish interior, nice staff

Review 121:Room was too warm, air conditioner didn't help much.

Review 122:Friendly staff, free room upgrade.
