Reviews for Hotel-Restaurant Kriemhilde

Review 1:The hotel is a great little budget hotel located just off the main shopping street with the town hall and cathedral both within 100m of the front door. The staff are incredibly helpful, the food (we ate both dinner and breakfast at the hotel) was great, and the rooms comfortable, and parking is available at a small additional cost.

Review 2:Our room was really basic and not big.

Review 3:The hotel owner was extremely kind and helpful in fixing a problem with our car. It was also very nice that our request for car parking was met. The location of the property is very central and convenient for the sightseeing. The breakfast was good.

Review 4:Food in their restaurant was not as in "older Days"; Not Close to price level what have happend in the kitchen area ?

Review 5:Central location and good breakfirst , generally good value for Money in hotel part

Review 6:Access to cathedral a long way from hotel actually - way round another side. But there was a concert just outside my window alongside the cathedral which went on very loudly until 10pm, then resumed at 10.30pm!

Review 7:Looked like close to cathedral on supplied map, which is why I booked it.

Review 8:The owner and staff were extremely and genuinely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. A breakfast was prepared for us the night before because we had a very early train to catch.

Review 9:Room seemed a little darkish, quite austere, not welcoming. I recommend using only white linens and towels, to convey the idea of freshness and cleanliness. Beige pillow cases on a white sheet look dingy, create the idea that the place is less than clean or fresh. I also recommend providing two pillows, even if only one person is staying. Bathroom was quite cramped.

Review 10:Great location, close to cathedral and downtown. Friendly, helpful staff, especially the proprietor. Good German food served in the restaurant.

Review 11:Parking is avail in a parking garage a few short blocks away. The hotel provided us with a parking card that allowed us to park for free.

Review 12:We booked three rooms. All three rooms were different, but very nice. The location is nice, although it is right next to the Dom and the church bells ring through the night. But, that seems to be normal in most of the places we stayed in Germany. The hotel is within a very short walking distance to the pedestrian friendly shopping area! Our first night at the hotel we arrived around 830pm and they were very nice to cook us dinner! The food was fantastic! We decided to enjoy our second dinner at the hotel the next night as well. Breakfast had a very nice selection of meats, cheeses, yogurt, breads and cereal.

Review 13:Not really.

Review 14:We liked the atmosphere of "inn/pub" conviviality, and the top-floor apartment was more like home than a hotel room. The location could not be better for seeing what we wanted to see, and overlooked the cathedral whose bells stopped in time for good night's sleep. We seemed to get on with the host and his informality.

Review 15:If we had wanted to watch TV it was a bit small.

Review 16:Brilliant location, wonderfully helpful hosts, excellent food at the restaurant in the evening. Lovely breakfast at an incredibly reasonable price.

Review 17:Hotel is in a great location within walking distance to most sights. The hotel breakfast is very good and the hotel restaurant serves delicious German and Italian lunches and dinners. The hosts are very friendly and attentive.

Review 18:No lift, so not an ideal hotel for guests with limited mobility. No BBC World TV channel.

Review 19:Excellent & friendly staff, very good breakfast buffet, and good, popular restaurant. Room number 105 equipped with en-suite bathroom with toilet, wash basin, shower and hair dryer. Room was well insulated from noise from outside (church bells for example). English language news channel on TV (CNN). Short walk - between 10 to 20 minutes from the main railway station but on the bus routes. This hotel is near to the cathedral, churches, restaurants, shops and the tourist information office.

Review 20:There wasn't anything negative that I can come up with!

Review 21:The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and the room was very cute, cozy, and well-equipped. The hotel is at a great location, within minutes' walk of all the best historical locations - cathedral, churches, and Jewish cemetery

Review 22:Nothing we didn't like.

Review 23:The clean, comfortable room, the location next to the central cathedral, easy accessibility from bike paths, comfortable German atmosphere, good breakfast.

Review 31:Close to cathedral and town centre

Review 32:Bathroom small and coridoor smelly

Review 33:Restaurant good food. Rooms very tidy.

Review 34:The staff were helpful and the food very nice.

Review 35:No elevators so need to carry bags up stairs, but not a big deal.

Review 36:Very helpful and friendly staff Evening meal pretty good

Review 37:The town of Worms

Review 38:Free parking in a parkinghouse Friendly staff

Review 39:Church bells started at 7 am :-)

Review 40:Location. Very nice personnel and excellent service.

Review 41:Room is small, though very clean and well-kept.

Review 42:Location is superb.

Review 43:Nothing much to do in town. Breakfast adequate.

Review 44:Location central. Clean comfortable room. Nice staff.Good secure place for bicycles. Good price.

Review 45:Public parking nearby is expensive

Review 46:Very central location

Review 47:No reception. Very small room. Very bad internet.

Review 48:German coffee.

Review 49:Excellent location, polite staff, good breakfast ... I recommend you this hotel!

Review 50:no drinks m/c in room (tea/coffee)

Review 51:pretty simple, but nice

Review 52:location, staff, window view

Review 53:Excellent location, staff friendly and helpful.

Review 54:Friendly reception and rooms were comfortable and clean. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. Overall excellent value for money.

Review 55:Very little English spoken.

Review 56:Access was good, close to the center of town. Room was adequate, and good for a three star place. Breakfast was typical.

Review 57:Location was central and next to the cathedral. Breakfast was nice.

Review 58:The walls weren't very thick so you could hear people talking outside and the bells going off first thing in the morning. The bathroom had a little bit of a tight squeeze to get to the toilet. Parking was not available on sight but the parking garage was only a 2 minute walk away.

Review 59:The room was spacious and had a great location right next to the church and old town.

Review 60:Perhaps the parking was not available and the choice for breakfast was not overwhelming, but still OK.

Review 61:The room was very nice, the bed cosy, all in all very good facility.

Review 62:The hotelkeeper is difficult to understand because of his English, but he speaks Italian. The wifi didn't work although they gave me password and login twice! Finally, I used the PC at the reception and the connection was so unbelievable slow like it was a Dial-up! The bells ring so loud, they can be heard from everywhere in the city center, but Worms has the small city center.

Review 63:Good location, within walking distance from the railway station. Nice clean room but no tea facilities. It seemed like we were the only guest in the hotel so the breakfast was not awesome: bread, cheese/ham, yogurt, jam, corn flakes, eggs, but it was nice.

Review 64:Not recommended for motorists: one small patch for unloading usually blocked (by staff car?) leaving only the entrance to a private underground car park.

Review 65:Despite checking the parking beforehand the parking was not available for Motorcycles and the proprietor was unaware of this also when we went to pay our bill we were told we could only pay in cash because they had not got a working card machine.

Review 66:The breakfast was terrible. The staff look completely tired and unmotivated. Having to get our car out of the parking garage at 8:30am was a pain.

Review 67:If you want to see the dome then the location of this hotel is perfect.

Review 68:We inspected the hotel, no elevator, no airco, bad food, at the entrance of a underground parking. We payed the fine and checked in at the Dom Hotel. Kriemhilde already years ago had a bad name in the Trotter guide. Do not go there!

Review 69:Bad weak coffee at breakfast (unfortunately this is still the rule inGermany), should invest in a proper coffee machine the guests could usethemselves. Otherwise the breakfast ok.

Review 70:Good location next to the cathedral, could see it from our window (butbeware, the bells start ringing at 7 A.M., also during weekend). Typicalsmall German guesthouse with entrance through the restaurant. Therestaurant itself was fine for dinner, with some regional specialtiesand friendly prices.

Review 71:Accommodation is quite basic but the value for money is very good so Idon't really have a complaint as I enjoyed my stay very much

Review 72:Very friendly and helpful staff, also excellent food in the restaurant.

Review 73:This hotel is right in the center of Worms. The staff was very friendly and spoke perfect English. The breakfast was fresh and perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

Review 74:The food was excellent ; most of the staff tried hard to be accomodating and hekpful. The room was easily the most overpriced room I have ever had - anywhere.

Review 75:The hotel and restaurant was closed on Saturday night with no warning -very odd. The hotel was locked up in the morning so we had to find ourown way out at 7am - noit exactly the crack of dawn. Breakfast startedtoo late so we missed it 2 mornings out of 3!? Room was very hot.

Review 76:We had a nice family room. Breakfast was good.

Review 77:The location is in the middle of the city surrounded by two churches which start ringing the bells at 7am, every quarter. The hotel is great for someone seeking proximity to the attractions of the city and easy getting around, but not for somebody seeking a "quite place". One should also inquire if there are festivals going on as the big open air events use the park in front of the hotel. Could get noisy until late at night. We joined the party! :)

Review 78:Kriemhilde is a very nice and comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff and will try to accommodate your every wish.Breakfast offers everything a good German breakfast has to offer there is all you can eat. Quality and presentation of food in the restaurant is excellent. So is the wine list. We had a two room apartment which provided lots of space and comfortable furniture.

Review 79:The bells! (from the Cathederal next door) (but they were switched off at 23.00)

Review 80:The staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful (they allowed us to park our motorbikes in a secure area behind the kitchen at no charge) and spoke good English (making up for our lack of German!). Food in the restaurant was good quality and value.

Review 81:Hard to find, vehicle access very difficult.

Review 82:Conveniently central, pleasant people, nice restaurant.

Review 83:The staff were very nice and the location is perfect for sightseeing with many things within 5 minutes walking distance

Review 84:Caring staff who kept the restaurant open a bit later so we could entertain the Weinbachs from Westhofen!

Review 85:Restaurant was closed Saturday.

Review 86:Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Convenient location.

Review 87:Excellent restaurant. Be sure to try it out if you stay there.

Review 88:Approach from Rhine cycle way

Review 89:Good value for money. Exceptionally helpful staff. Location not too good for cyclists. Busy roads to negotiate

Review 90:Comfortable and friendly, excellent location next to Cathedral and art gallery, very good evening meal in the restaurant.

Review 91:Bed not so good

Review 92:Ok friendly staff but rooms are small and beds not so comfortable , good central location

Review 93:Staff also works at the restaurant, so checking-in at dinner time (18h - 20h) can be a little bit time consuming

Review 94:In the city center, near everything

Review 95:There was no lift - it is divfficult for the luggage to carry to the third floor.

Review 96:Clean rooms and bathroom, good service.

Review 97:Located right next to cathedral. Good breakfast.
