Reviews for Haus Rehlein

Review 1:Mr Andrä was very friendly and the Fewo had a homey feel to it. It is close to the railway station of Schierke but a minimal level of fitness is required to walk up the slope from the Fewo. If you want peace and quiet, you'll find it here.

Review 2:The owner of the house was aggressive and not so kind, maybe its because of the language barrier. No Shoes in the house.

Review 3:Room was clean, nice and comfy. nice view from the window and a fair breakfast. Very good price, but i wouldn't recommend it for a long stay.

Review 4:The host at Haus Rehlein has quit a few things to learn when it comes to handle Tourists and give them a properly welcome. A welcome would have been nice but the rules were more important to talk about. We lived both in the small cottage outside in the garden and in one of the rooms in the main building. The cottage was badly cleaned, no heating and overall small areas. The room booked in the main bulding was better but You may find better places to spend your Money. And you could expect more knowledge from the host regarding the trains to and from mount Brocken, we

Review 6:Everything.. Andre was so helpful. My room was so comfortable. Thebathroom was amazing. Great internet connection considering ourlocation. He catered for us last minute as I booked online.. I should ofcalled. He made an effort to communicate in English as my German was notvery good. He showed us the way to local pub. The house was beautifulespecially with all the snow. The price was great too. It was very warminside, it was minus 10 outside. Thank you Andre.

Review 7:There was nothing we didn't like. The only thing other guests should be aware of is that our shower room (in the basement) has a very low ceiling and is not suitable for people over 5ft 10ins tall, but you are warned of this when you book the room. For us it was no problem.

Review 8:We liked the sound of Haus Rehlein from the reviews. It is true that there are many 'rules' and that it is a bit like a throwback to the GDR, but in a really cool way. The rules are all actually very sensible - such as no outdoor shoes in the house - especially considering that the area is famous for hiking in the beautiful (and quite muddy) forests and mountains. Our host was out when we arrived, but he had left a note for us (in English) of where to find the keys, and was happy for us to let ourselves in. Our room was huge, with a sofa, desk and TV - comfy, warm and spotlessly clean. The decor is very dated, but this all adds to the charm - it was a bit like staying at a slightly eccentric great aunt's house! The breakfast is typical German-style and was delicious and fresh and plentiful, served in a funky sunroom with a very impressive collection of cacti. Overall Haus Rehlein was exceptional value for money and Herr Andra was a fine host.

Review 9:The owner. He behaves as if his guests are trying to make his life difficult.

Review 10:Cheap, value for money, nice location.
