Reviews for mk hotel remscheid
Review 1:Noise from building work during refurbishment. Over bright fluorescent tubes, no desk lamp on the tiny desk, no comfy chair to watch TV.
Review 2:Spacious rooms, good beer, excellent food, attentive polite staff, large flatscreen TV.
Review 3:The parking isn't working at moment during the renovation process is ongoing.
Review 4:Nice hotel, newly renovated with a sporty theme. The restaurant was really nice.
Review 5:The room was just painted and had an awful smell of fresh paint. Unbelievable they rented this.
Review 6:Totally renovated, with a good restaurant below. Traditional German Kitchen.
Review 7:The lifts could have been better maintained. And someone walked into my room middle of the night!!
Review 8:Fairly close to the highway. Pretty basic room to spend the night in.
Review 9:The hotel is currently being refurbished and MK Hotels should have closed it while the work was being done. The makeover theme is very minimalistic and our room didn't have any chairs or a table - sitting on the bed was the only option apart from a ridiculously uncomfortable "office" chair which looked like a throwback to the 1920's.There is an exercise theme to every room (ours had an exercise bike) - they should provide a gym if they want to go that way. Breakfast was almost non existent by the time we arose and there was no interest in refreshing the buffet. The hotel now has a brewery as it's main attraction and will be more like a pub with rooms than a hotel.
Review 10:My wife and I thought the bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in! The hotel's location is still it's biggest asset being within walking distance of town centre.
Review 11:Nobody told me when I booked that they have the builders in!! The hotelis undergoing a major refit (Aug -Sept 2015)and 70% of the hotel is amess. The ground floor lounge is an off limits building site, there arenoises of drilling and hammering echoing through the building from 8 amto 6 pm every day (including weekends). The new narrow Main entrance isfrequently blocked by workers on ladders painting, plastering, ordrilling large holes - not suitable for any hotel. The 2 lifts takeforever and when one does arrive it usually contains one or morebuilders with a wheelbarrow full of rubble, sets or large steel pipes orsome other material that should not mix with paying guests. Theunderground car park is off limits (as a workshop) and the outside carpark is mostly occupied by builders vans. The new décor is obviouslysubject to personal taste, but beware the main room lighting the twinhigh power fluorescent lights are quite a shock (wear dark glasses!).
Review 12:I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past 6 years and until nowit has been very comfortable with friendly staff, good décor and upkeep. Some of this remained during the present stay. The hotel promises tohave its own on site brewery soon but I think all the new brand beer isbeing shipped in from an outside location at present - not a bad brewfrom the sample I did taste.
Review 13:Disruption due to hotel refurb meant no water on two occasions and builders lusing the same lifts as guests, should consider keeping one just for guests and keeping it clean. Staff smoking in the guest enterance not very proffesional. Appreciate the work needs to be done as the hotel was in dire need however they still need to put the customers first. I would also prefered a hair dryer in the room rather than an excersise bike, noth would be even better. Will fab when it's finished.
Review 14:Stayed here four times now and the hotel has recently been bought by mk, they are upgrading the hotel and we had one of the newly refurbished rooms which was fab, wet room brilliant, bed very good.
Review 15:The Hotel is under re-construction. Walking into reception, my throat immediately clogged up with dust. How can they charge full (€110 for one of the nights) with the Hotel in this condition?
Review 16:The TV's spleep mode LED was to bright in to the night, but i just unplugged it :))

Review 34:The hotel is a bit outdated but rooms are clean and tidy. A full scale renovation is ongoing it should be fresh again soon.
Review 35:When I arrived the hotel, hotel manager Ulf Melcher told me that he has to put me in a similar hotel nearby due to some unexpected issue. It turned out I was sent to a no star hotel with standard room rate EUR41. However, they already charged me almost three times of that rate, which is ridiculous. This is definitely the worse experience I ever have.
Review 36:This hotel is very oufull!! Don't go there!! The pictures is notreall, they are very differ from the real pictures of the room! The WiFifor paying money, obviously doesn't work!Very very bad hotel!!!!
Review 37:There is non plusies
Review 38:I have visited the hotel several times over the years and the hotel getsmore delapidated with each visit.Tea and Coffee making facilities are only present depending on size of room! Had to buy our own kettle and cups etc. after being refused supply thereof by reception. Room service menu is appalling - no sandwiches and very limited availability of service.
Review 39:It is a short walk from town centre
Review 40:The rooms are always too cold when arrive, there is no additional bedcover or pillow in the room. I miss the teas you proposed in the past. It was a pleasure to have the different teas and to choose the quantity we wanted.
Review 41:I like the location and the restaurant which is always very good, for the diner and for the breakfast.
