Reviews for Sublime Samana
Review 1:Sublime Samana is an smaller-scale oasis of calm and far cry from the all-inclusive resorts nearby. The staff were superb and the quality of the rooms excellent. There is only one restaurant - which we enjoyed - but having a kitchen means you can do your own thing (there is a supermarket 10 minutes away) .. and if you forget your milk they will happily bring you some. The beach is small but lovely, with attentive service.
Review 2:Relatively far from Las Terrenas, which means you need to take a taxi to town if you don't have own transportation
Review 3:- Fantastic location on one of the most beautiful beaches of the area and possibly the DR, and a short beach walk away from Playa Coson - Top notch facilities, very large rooms, fully equiped - Food in the restaurant was good, much better than we had expected
Review 4:The Place is like heaven on earth. Quiet, relaxing, beautiful, peaceful, amazingly located on a private beach. The service provided by staff is amazing. Review 5:El Wifi no cubrió en nuestra habitación, según se suponía.
Review 6:Sublime Samana es un remanso de paz. Muy tranquilo, el lugar perfecto para descansar. La playa es magnifica. El hotel es muy limpio.
Review 7:We didn't know that as soon as you arrive they retain 10,000.- pesos from your card, which is not a problem but we would have loved to know that in advance. The breakfast was delicious but you did not have much choice.
Review 8:The Sublime Samana is a very relaxed and calma place, you feel like you are on a spiritual retreat. The staff is incredibly lovely and polite, the room are huge and you have a small bathroom in the living room too, apart from the one in the bedroom. The concept in very simple yet amazingly elegant and sophisticated. They cleaned the room twice per day. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to come back.
Review 9:The first room they gave us had a faulty bed, so they moved us to a new room within 2 hours. Was a bit annoying at the time, but quickly forgot about it as we got mesmerised by the place.
Review 10:This place is jaw-dropping, having a nice location right on the beach. The suites are huge, more space than a couple could ever need. Staff was very polite and breakfast was delicious (try the Bagels with lettuce tomato and cucumber).
Review 11:On arrival staff seemed to be unprepared for our visit and took a long time to locate booking On departure the check out procedure was made extremely complicated and confusing Billing was done in local currency for the accommodation making it difficult to check against booking
Review 12:Fabulous villa accommodation close to the beach Remote and unspoilt Generally friendly and helpful staff
Review 13:Nothing really bad to say. You need a car when staying at this hotel, I don't think there are taxies in Las Terrenas.
Review 14:Very clean and well designed place. Its relatively new, good design, amazing pool and awesome beach. Staff are very nice, breakfast is great, had dinner at the hotel only once and it was fine as well. We really enjoyed our stay, great place to relax, very quiet.
Review 15:The food (lunch and dinner)
Review 16:Overall:Lovely hotel if you are looking for a place to get away from it all. The pictures on their website are exactly the way the hotel is. Everything is being kept nice and tidy. The staff is overall very nice. Beautiful location with a private beach. We stayed for a midweek in October 2014. 2 adults and a 2 year old (almost 3yrs)Check in:We arrived around 10am , which was no where near their official check in time, but they got us a room anyway. We had a little problem with our reservation through booking.com, because they couldn't find it. After showing them our confirmation, they put the reservation in their system and after a tour of the hotel we could go into our room. (Luggage was brought to our room)Room:We had a suite with one bedroom. Which is plenty of space for 2 adults and a small child. We slept in de bedroom and our son in the living room on the sofa bed. (the leather couch is a sofa bed). Room service came every day and made sure when we came back everything was nice and tidy again. The 1st night we did have to ask for sheets and pillows for the sofa bed because they were not in the room. Unfortunately it took them 3 phone calls and 50mins to finally bring us the sheets and pillows. Our son had already fallen asleep on our bed by then. But when they finally did come they did make the bed for us.Pool:there are 2 pools. One near the hotel rooms and one near the beach. Both of them are about the same dept. Part of both pools are undeep and suitable for children. You do have to watch them though, because they can easily wonder into the deep part. Then every villa also has a very undeep little pool in front of their house with little cabanas. Your kids can play there safely. The water is very undeep. To bad the cabana's don't offer any shade. They have no roof.Beach:They have a small private beach, which is lovely because we came there for our rest.

Review 26:Beautiful Beach, pool facilities are great, delicious food
Review 27:Charged my card twice and whole period of staying were figuring out whether they received payment or not. Getting a refund for the second payment took almost a month. Mosquitos are very aggressive :-) as everywhere in Caribbean.
