Reviews for La Residencia del Paseo
Review 1:A smell of mildew was evident in the room but aside from that given the location of this hotel it was very good value for money.
Review 2:The hotel is situated along Calle Principle. Few minutes walk to beach, restaurants. Staff were very helpful & pleasant.
Review 3:We had no bad experience
Review 4:The Hotel was centrally located with only 3 minutes walk to the lovely beach; staff was very friendly and helpful , AtM machine and Mini Market is very close by
Review 5:There were some difficulties with the wifi, especially on the second day, though that could have been due to some storms in the area.
Review 6:For what we paid, I was not expecting either the views or the comfort we received. The layout is very ascetically pleasing - though it is in the center of the town, the pool and garden area feel very secluded. The room was fantastic. We got an apartment, and myself and three friends had more than enough space to stay comfortably. They even added little flowers as flourishes to our tables and bathroom counters! You only have to walk about four minutes to the beach, and the hotel is located in the heart of the restaurants and stores.
Review 7:A bit expensive compared to other places in las terrenas with better facilities and pool. The kitchinette was not working and there is no cutlery or plates but to be fair this facility is not advertised. The interior patio looks like a run down shopping centre rather but you just walk through it to get to the rooms. So nor too bad.
Review 8:Close to the beach. Nicely decorated. Clean. Free water fountain. Good breakfast. Excellent smooth jazz radio playing. Friendly Italian staff. Very spacious room. Safe box.
Review 9:i did not like that the lady at the bar was kind of Rude. I had to ask if she was ok, because she act like she hated the world. She was busy trying to serve some food, and we were very nice and patient until i saw she was just an angry person. Need customer service skills
Review 10:i liked the location, the rooms were fine, good enough for a group of people but not for a romantic get away
Review 11:The bed could have been better but I only paid $32.50 without a advanced booking. Im sure I would have gotten a better bed it I had paid more.
Review 12:Location pool kitchen
Review 13:-The beds were very hard. -The first room we were given smelled of urine (room #2A). The staff quickly helped us move to a different room. -Poorly sealed doors and windows allowed numerous geckos into the room. Not a big deal unless they creep you out. -The restaurant/bar is minimal
Review 14:The location is great! Once you leve the property, it's only a matter of crossing one road to get to the beach. There are many restaurants, cigar shops, and other stores immediately available to you.
Review 15:Bed maybe too small for tall people
Review 16:2 to 3 minute walk to beach...if you use the back entrance into the shopping plaza... There is a ATM machine there just steps from road & beach beyond.. Lots of places to eat & drink right on the beach... Las Terrenas has a Great atmosphere for couples ..
Review 17:I can imagine that having a room on the first floor would be less enjoyable than on the second (where we stayed) or third, also some balconies have mosquitoe nets and some don't.
Review 18:The location is the absolute best in Las Terrenas, right in the middle of everything but still very quiet and private, hidden from noise inside a secluded nature-y area. Look of the hotel is slightly more authentic (use of wood etc) rather than pure modern which we also liked a lot.
Review 19:Balcony and windows had no screens so the mosquitos feasted on me at night. Bed, chairs and sofa were uncomfortable.
Review 20:Good location close to the beach and shops. Nice pool area. Kitchenette was adequate. Staff brought a coffee maker on request. My 2nd floor room's wifi reception was average.
Review 21:We have been there just before high season started, so we could enjoy this place nearly empty and for very good price. We liked bar at pool, for good and not expensive food and nice people. Recepcionists were always helpful and welcomed. Room was very nice, spacious, with hot water, TV, fast Internet (on balcony). Just be prepared for mosquitos at night. It is in very good location of Las Terrenas, just few metres from beach and also main street and nightlife. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Review 43:No microwave. Small, mediocre TV.
Review 44:Location and service.
Review 45:My friends and i had a great time in here.
Review 46:Bathroom, room air condition, room not clean enought.
Review 47:Location, place, gardens, staff...
Review 48:Cracks by doors and windows allows mosquitoes in the room
Review 49:The location is great
Review 50:Smell horrible, very dirty
Review 51:The living room sofa was extremely uncomfortable.
Review 52:Location was excellent. The staff was great. Our first room had a few issues and we were quickly moved to a better room. Without any hassle.
Review 53:The beds are not very comfortable - at least the ones in our unit were not. Thin mattresses on single bed frames. I lucked out and happened to select a bed with an OK mattress, but my wife was not as lucky and had to shift to another bed during the night. She is a size 6 and weighs less than 120 lbs, so not a large person trying to fit onto a small bed.
Review 54:Central location close to the beach, restaurants and banks. If you are not used to driving in the DR, the street traffic can be a bit overwhelming with quads, motorbikes and cars flying by and lots of potholes and speed bumps to negotiate. Hotel has a nice off street parking area. Front office staff are very friendly and very helpful. The kitchen in our unit was well equipped but we did not use it so can't say how well it all works. The A/C unit is quite modern, worked well and kept us quite cool. Did not use the pool, through it looked very nice. The small shopping center next door is quite convenient and easy to get to. The complex was fully occupied when we were there, yet it was very quiet with no noise from other units.
Review 55:The pool guy needs to be fired. I've owned a pool for years and would be embarrassed to have anyone in a pool that looked liked that. Try using chlorine and shock.
Review 56:The location is excellent. It is a short walk to the beach and to restaurants. You can get a nice breakfast at Bruno's just outside of the hotel. Good price too.
Review 57:The wifi conection. Very bad.
Review 58:The location (perfect, in the middle of everything but nevertheless incredible quiet), the price, the comfort of the room (excellent value) and the place in general (very nice garden and pool)
Review 59:Wireless connection is good in the lobby area, but is hit-and-miss from my hotel room ... not a big deal, but just as a item of notice. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable for me. I am a large person (6'5" and about 270 lbs) and I have temperpedic mattress at home. So, it was a bit 'thin' to support someone of my body size. After one night of not so good sleep, I simply took two ALEVE (ibuprofen) tablets before I went to bed, and in the morning I was ok. So, this is not to say the bed was bad, but if you are a large person or 'sensitive' sleeper, you may want to take a pain killer before going to bed.
Review 60:I stayed in room A2 (ground floor) from 21 to 25 JAN 2014. The room had a bathroom, bed area, living area, kitchenette, and a garden/breakfast patio. The patio looked out toward the rear grounds and pool area. All of the plumbing, hot water, air conditioning, kitchen applicances and TV worked well and withhout mishap. I really enjoyed being able to buy foodstuffs from local grocers and making my own breakfast in my unit, and enjoying the garden patio (with mosquito screen) each morning. Room service was good. The room was cleaned everyday sometime in the afternoon; new/clean linens were provided daily. The reacreation area and pool was well-kept and maintained. There is a volleyball net area, a children's play area, a pool area, and a tiki bar. I did not use the pool; I prefer to swim in the ocean. I had some clothes cleaned and the service was affordable, timely, and effective. The hotel is directly adjacent to a shopping complex which you can walk to without going out to the public street. The beach area is less than a leisurely 5-minute walk. The environment of the hotel was clean, safe and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
Review 61:The air conditioner must be paid apart from the rent and there was no microwave. Apart from that everything was perfect.
Review 62:The price/quality rate is fantastic. We chose it at the last moment and our impression couldn't be better. If I ever return to Las Terrenas I will for sure stay here again. Thx!

Review 64:Bien situe au milieu de nombreux restaurant et pres de la plage
Review 65:If I had to find something I didn't like it would be that the bed we slept on was hard. I am used to a softer bed and woke up sore every morning.
Review 66:We loved staying here. It was right in the middle of town and very close to the beach. It had a nice pool, good sized apartment with a kitchenette, air conditioning, hot water and WiFi. The staff was great! I loved walking to the french bakery every morning for breakfast.
