Review 1：We couldn't stay longer!

Review 2：Right on the beach, hotel restaurant has unbelievable food. Best restaurant we are at in our 10 night stay. Only stayed for one night as we'd booked a villa with my partner's parents but the staff, from the receptionist to the pool bar staff were fantastic. Allowed us to take our champagne from the restaurant to the room after dinner. Room was comfortable enough, decent air con and private wifi for our own hotel room was very convenient.

Review 17：The beach right in front is beautiful for relaxing on the sand. But if you like to be in the water, there are better spots in terrenas with no grass or coral just a 5 minute drive from the hotel.

Review 27：My second stay at this hotel and it has only improved. The restaurant has excellant food much local and service is very good. My reservation includes breakfast and I find the buffet with omelet station to be very good. Pool with afternoon swim up bar is fun and along with the gardens always well maintained. I have used some of the spa services and though not up to Orlando standards they were fair priced and maintained well. Although I don't use the kitchen much the refrigerator and barware definitely cankeep the bar tab down. I really like this hotel with its friendly staff and comfortable ambiance.

Review 28：I was staying on a busy DR holiday weekend and the parking was somewhat limited. After the weekend when the guests from Santo Domingo left the parking was fine.

Pool was big and clean and the sunken-in bar was a plus. Best part was the spa! So relaxing and the staff was very friendly. Close proximity to town, about a 10-minute walk.

Great location to have a quiet relaxing vacation on a beautiful, sandy, palm tree lined, turquoise water beach yet walking distance to a lively town with lots of restaurants and shops. The Restaurant Baronda at Hotel Alessi was one of our favorites. Centrally located for an easy drive to the many gorgeous beaches and waterfalls on the peninsula. Already planning to bring our adult daughters for a family vacation next year. We travel to different tropical places every winter that aren't too touristy but feel safe and this was the most wonderful trip.

Review 58：Really lovely stay. My husband, our 4-year-old son and myself stayed for three nights. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, the lovely views, the peace and quiet, the pool and the ease of just spending a few days relaxing. The balcony area is great, we spent entire afternoons out there. Also, very convenient to have the kitchen set-up.

Review 59：Clean not to good, pour selection on restaurant menu, and most the time dont have whats shows on menu. No elevator to apt, and if you have problem its a major issue.

Review 61：The staff were not very knowledgeable about places to dive and snorkel nor about who to contact in the area to get this info. They couldn't tell us where to rent boogie boards or the best place to go for that. They did recommend one local shop, Profundo Blue, to take us snorkeling out at Las Ballenas. A man in the office called Profundo to make reservations for us and told us it was $35/person when it was actually $25. He tried to scam us out of $70 since there were 7 of us. Also, one shower had no hot water until the last day. Also, the door intermittently shocked you when you opened it. A 60 year old man in our party had to see a doctor do to the extreme shock he received with his wet bare feet. The hotel did reimburse the doctor fees and had the doctor come to our room.

Review 62：The ground and pool were very nice. The outdoor patios were great places for our group to meet for drinks before dinner. The outdoor fans and bug zappers helped keep mosquitos to a minimum. The breakfast was very good - lots of choices and high quality.

Review 74：It is not so much that we didn't like it, but it would have been nice to know that we needed to bring coffee and tea with us. And it would have been really good to have had the fridge on already for our arrival. Not major things, as we could have easily gone to the town and got these things or the mini mart just a short walk away. But we know for next time and my husband says I could just get it from the restaurant, but we are early risers..5-5.30am and the restaurant doesn't open until 7.30am. But for next time, if the fridge is turned on, this would be good.

Review 75：We found the staff to be excellent, the 2 room apartment we had, overlooked the ocean and was fantastic, the gardens are lovely, while we didn't dine in the restaurant in the evening we did dine for breakfast and have drinks in the afternoon, service is terrific. Everything is beautifully clean and tidy. They organise tours for you, quads, which we are going to do the next time we come to Las Terrenas and stay at Hotel Alisei. You can have massages etc. at their spa. It is just a pleasant walk to town and restaurants. We absolutely loved it!! Well done Hotel Alisei!! They have a water cooler so you don't have to bring bottled water with you or go buy it.

Taxi through Hotel was $70 usd each way. Room #46 was secondfloor back of resort & had a view over pool to ocean.

Review 80：- I wish that the beach was more 'swimmable'......I Realize that the hotel cannot change this, but I was falsely under the impression that we would be able to snorkel out to a reef from the beach. I saw no one doing this - the surf was big and the winds too high to be sure that this would be safe to do.2. seeing 50 -70 year old European and N. American men with young Dominican girls..... do not delude yourself into believing that this, in any way, can alleviate the impoverished conditions of this country. It broke my heart.

The balconies are phenomenal and offer beautiful views of the ocean while relaxed in the hammock or cozied up on the sofa. 3. The restaurant offered room service and the food ranged from good to excellent. 4. The staff at the hotel tried their best to communicate with us (we don't speak spanish) and were always helpful. 5. There's a phenomenal beach (Coson) just 10 minutes drive away!

Review 84：Two claims were misleading: 1. "beachfront" is true, but it is a dirty beach, not one that people swim in. You still need to drive to the good beaches. 2. There is no yoga. Alisei should remove the prominent photos and descriptions of daily yoga classes from its website and promotional material.

The place was fun to try to find from the airport but hard,took a long time and was expensive to take a taxi but that is the wayI'd recommend. We rented a car and experienced many hitches. Taxi costs$200 each way. The beach was beautiful and breezy but the water wasshallow and there were old coral beds. But easy to take a taxi to agorgeous beach.

Review 94：It was the perfect "off the beaten path" spot. We went there todecompress and read in the sun. The sun there was perfect and the poolwas great. The rooms were generous and very comfortable. It was justwhat I was looking for. The spa was great.

Review 95：The trip to Hotel Alisei from Santo Domingo is 2 + hrs. A taxi is 200 US one way..... If you don't know Spanish or French, the language barrier can be a little tricky, but most of the staff speak a little of all three A smoking ban in the public areas would be nice
