Reviews for Strandhotel Binz
Review 1:The absence of the slippers in the both rooms. The design of the room on the first floor (101) is too strict and oficial, and unfortunatley without a carpet.
Review 2:The room on the 4th floor (417) was very nice. Very good sauna, restaurant, very good breakfast. In the whole the design of the hotel is very nice.
Review 3:Room situated at the mezzanine just above the kitcken fan, viewing a sad alley . A constant smell of fried fish accompaned every day of our stay - A pretended four star hotel simply can't even think to propose a room like this to his guests.
Review 4:Very good hotel position Very good bed quality Good Breakfast
Review 5:The room was a bit small compared with other times we stayed at this hotel
Review 6:The location is excellent, directly on the Strand Promenade. The breakfast is very good.
Review 7:German pillows are strangly soft and flat. No air conditioning
Review 8:Great location! Beds and rooms comfortable and fresh. Kind staff. Saunas on the top floor really nice.
Review 9:Did not care for the glass partitions to the bathroom. Very stylish, but highly impractical when being two in the room
Review 10:The newly refurbished room was very nice och the location next to the beach
Review 11:Be careful which sort of room you book- ours was next to the next door hotel which was very noisy.it was extremely hot whilst we were there ,the flip side was they didn't have any fans.
Review 12:Everything was excellent about this hotel, the staff, the situation, the food and their care.
Review 13:We liked the location of the hostel, close to the beach only separated by the 'Promenade', easy access to amenities, restaurants and shops in town. Fantastic breakfast and great service.
Review 14:The glass-walled bathroom did not provide enough privacy (cover) from the other occupants of the room. Eating that great breakfast in a windowless fish restaurant below ground was a bit off-putting. WiFi access was a bit cumbersome - you had to get a computer-generated username and password from the reception desk, one per device. We had an iPhone, two iPads and a laptop. Smoking was allowed on the balconies of non-smoking rooms - our neighbors were smoking out on their balcony at 3 a.m., a mere 3 meters from where I was sleeping! The room was stuffy without the window (balcony sliding door) open, but that meant cigarette smoke drifting in and waking us every time they were puffing away out there. So that's not a good design for Americans who have gotten used to being spared second-hand smoke just about everywhere, day and night. There did not seem to be good parking alternatives nearby in town. If you pay for the underground garage, you have to stow your car in a cage on a lift system, which means it takes a bit of time to park and to retrieve. The hotel does not cover your resort tax ("Kurtaxe" - we paid an extra 2.60 Euro per person for access to the beach and other resort amenities). Construction in the area created more noise (and earlier in the morning) than we would have liked.
Review 15:Beautiful white sand. Partial view of the water. Fabulous breakfast buffet, but a bit awkward served in the subteranean Fischmarkt restaurant. Staff provided extra pillows and a toothbrush and toothpaste. Room was very clean and pleasant, with minibar, safe, TV. Parking in the underground garage was an 10 Euro for 24 hours, but convenient. I was traveling with my 91 year old mother and the staff was very solicitous and kind accommodating her needs.
Review 16:Cleanliness.
Review 17:Seaview.
Review 18:Size of the room, we booked a family room for 4, but the size was not acceptable at all ...

Review 33:Friendly and helpful staff. Nice atmosphere and location
Review 34:No Aircondition, no coffe/ tea in the room
Review 35:Breakfast exellent
Review 36:Very poor service in the Fischmarkt restaurant, food was surprisingly, the least bad words I want to write here is "uninteresting" and "uninspired" and really not what we expected in the cozy surroundings. One dish was deducted from my bill after my "complaint", and that's fair enough !
Review 37:Everything except the dinner at night in the hotel restaurant !
Review 38:The heat was turned off in the room when we arrived. Beds were hard as rock and only flat pillows. However we got more pillows on request.
Review 39:Very nice breakfast. Nice staff. Clean facilities.
Review 40:Lovely old hotel built in wood right next to the sea. Took a longtime to decide on this hotel given the choice at Binz but was happywith the choice, one of the most attractive hotels in the resort.Breakfast was totally amazing. The fish restraunt downstairs is oneof the best locally. For uk travellers some German is needed at Binz, very much a german and scandic resort, we were likley the only ukcouple there in July.
Review 41:When booking the accommodation the only room left was a family room, ie a main room with a double bed and a small room with a bunk bed for children which we did not require. We, nevertheless to the room because we wanted to be in the same hotel as German friends of ours who had booked weeks earlier. On arrival we noticed that other, for us more suitable rooms were available but the hotel was not prepared to change.
Review 42:A traditional Baltic Spa Hotel situated right by the beach promenade, close to the Kur Hotel and within easy walking distance to the towns main street and and a wide range of restaurants. The hotel has rooms in the old and new part of the hotel. Our room was in the old part of the building and although well furnished, it was small and felt claustrophobic. The breakfast buffet was lavish but got crowded at peak times. Restaurant meals appeared a little expensive.
Review 43:No warmth -- the staff seemed to have very little interest in the guests nor much passion for their jobs.
Review 44:Room clean and modern but had no "atmosphere" -- the room and the hotel could be best described as clinical.
Review 45:We have't used the hotel spa so can't tell anything about is. The onlything we didn't like-no foreign (english) tv channels (even the news)and no hotel information card (which is usually in every room) isenglish. All the rest is awesome!
Review 46:The location is perfect-just right on the front line of the beach andclose to the main shopping and restaurant area! We had a sea viewthought we didn't pay for that. The breakfast was great-the best salmonand chocolate croissant we have ever tried.the free wifi in rooms isfast. The standard room is pretty big, always clean, the furniture isnew, bathroom is clean. Hotel staff is nice and polite
Review 47:Nothing
Review 48:Lovely beds, fantastic sea view and breakfast on the sunny terrace in the mornings. We stayed three nights but I would have liked three weeks.
Review 49:Stunning view, great spa, kind staff. Looking forward to coming back...
Review 50:Access to breakfast room only by lift (or outside) can be frustrating as only one lift. And only one pillow.
Review 51:Location and style. Excellent view.
Review 52:Exellently situated, friendly staff, very good breakfast
Review 53:The staff was very friendly and supportive in all respect. The hotel had a nice atmosphere and the view of the sea was stunning.
