Reviews for IFA Rügen Hotel & Ferienpark

Review 1:The coffee on the breakfast buffé was weak almost like tea, could be better. please.

Review 2:Nice and relaxing hotel with high service, perfect with different possibilities for eating and drinking.

Review 3:I requested a nice view and got a first floor in the back. There were some stairs right outside our window that went to a basement and every night there were people smoking right there. Staff NOT willing to speak English. The bathroom got flooded because the screen does not prevent the water from getting out of the tub AND there was an old, used soap in the tub.

Review 4:How close it was to the beach

Review 5:the reception don t speek english, The wifi connection is not free

Review 6:Everything you need for having best vacation with a child are available in this hotel : beach wonderful swimmingpool, park and differents games

Review 7:The hotel should offer WIFI for free everywhere. It would be a big asset to the hotel

Review 8:The hotel upgraded our double deluxe room to a room with kitchenette. We did not use the kitchen but it was great to heat some water for a tea.

Review 9:No free wifi, it doesn't seem a bit thing but it was quite costly

Review 10:We were visiting out of season so I think we got a very good deal on the price as the hotel complex is Massive and has lots of facilities. Prora is 10 minutes up the road so for anyone visiting it makes an excellent stopover.

Review 11:Most people don't speak English Menus at restaurants are in German only and waitresses don't make an effort to translate menus

Review 12:Good facilities and conveniently located

Review 13:The kitchen didn't have any oven.

Review 14:Nice room and balcony. The kitchen has almost everything you need except an oven. The hotel is very big with a lot of things to do. A wonderful beachwalk with lots of restaurants.

Review 15:It was difficult with the staff that did not speak english so well. We asked for an extra bed in our booking but did not get any response on that. We tried to call but didnt get an answer for 2 hours. Finally someone answered the phone and when we asked for an extra bed they said the room was to small for that so we brought a madrass with us. When we were going home we discovered that a small sofa was actually a bed. We had apriciated to get this information earlier and at least when we checked in.

Review 16:Location Room Breakfast Good for children

Review 17:Exellent braekfast. Beach

Review 18:spacious room, comfortable beds, good location, balcony not facing directly to the sea, but still we saw and enjoyed the sun rising!

Review 19:The apartment, the spaciousness and the terrace

Review 20:Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal.

Review 21:The Staff was exceptionally kind and serviceminded!

Review 22:The pool is very small, not at all like the pictures show on booking.com.

Review 23:Very good buffet. Very close to the beach.

Review 24:All was excellent, what an organisation. We would like to thank Ms Melanie Eber from the reception desk - she was smiling, competent, helpfull!

Review 25:-sauna is open only on a few days of the week (we booked too nights, the first day was too late they said, the next day no sauna at all) -pool it says to be open until 22.00 but when we tried to get in, the staff said it is too late (it was 19;00) -no heating in the room -kitchen is fully equipped, but there is not a single toothbrush or a shampoo sample or shower gel of any kind (why do i need a toaster/kettle if i cant take a proper shower unless i bring my own gel) -excuse me for saying this, but this is neither 3 stars hotel, nor a place to spend almost 100 euro/night

Review 26:not really close to city. Free within city "train" transport almost useless given the once hourly operation eg in the morning. Breakfast buffet good but with 12€ not cheap for small breakfast eaters. Staff partly unwillingly, but responsive to critizism.

Review 27:Comfortable, spacious appartments, clean and well maintained. Large green surroundings, park-like garden and features like minigolf and bicycle rental. Fantastic position at seashore promenade and beach.

Review 28:We arrived at the hotel at night around 22, with two small children (1 and 3 years). We got the keys at the reception, but the apartment was not at all prepared!! There was no baby bed for our daughter, even though we asked for it in the mail. Baby bad was brought after about an hour (!!!!). There was not the right amount of sheets and towels (we got them until the next day in the afternoon at our request, and we arrived just for the weekend). NOT RECOMMENDED, for this price you can for sure find something better out of season!

Review 29:The apartment kitchen could have included a few basics (salt, pepper, cooking oil) but there is a supermarket right behind the hotel so it wasnot a problem or a big deal.

Review 30:We travelled with our young children and our dog. Pets can stay at anadditional fee of 10 € a night, in ground level rooms. We had an apartment facing the beach. Great location, comfortable room. We could see the sea from our room and the beach itself was less than a thirty second walk away.

Review 31:Sauna opening times are designed to prevent the overnight guest from using them: not open late, not open in the morning...

Review 32:Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, spacious room.

Review 33:Although there are plenty restaurants, the choice of meals was limitedand disappointing. Quite a long trek from the apartment to the breakfastlocation. Ok in good weather. Complicated checking in system withreception not clearly marked if coming by car.None of that detractedfrom our time there however.

Review 34:The room/appartment we were given seemed larger that what we orinallybooked so that was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was good. A reallynice place to visit.

Review 35:This hotel is absolutely overpriced! It is an older hotel, and while ithas been updated it is not an attractive facility. Furthermore, I don'tmean "older" in a quaint, antique sort of way. This is not one of thegorgeous, old complexes that you find down the street. It is all metaland cement and glass and cold and sterile looking. The rooms are basic. We stayed in a two room apartment. The pictures online are very poor anddon't illustrate that 2-room actually means 2 rooms and not twobedrooms. Still, it worked fine for us since our children are young andslept comfortably on the pull out sofa. The kitchenette was ok. Small refrigerator, cooktop stove and tiny sink. No microwave, no dishwasher. The absence of a microwave was very surprising and disappointing. The hotel provided one dishtowel but no paper towels and only provided 2 rolls of toilet paper and one set of bath towels per person. Anything else was at an additional cost in an already overpriced facility. Also, there was no maid service or cleaning/servicing of our apartment in any way during our stay. I realize that we were staying in an "apartment" but every other place we have stayed that has been called the same thing has included daily made service unless it was a private rental. Since we were cleaning our own apartment we were also responsible for taking out the trash and separating it into the appropriate containers in the trash facility. This should not be the responsibility of hotel guests. The building we were in was shaped like an L and we were nestled in the inside crook of the L facing the parking lot. There was a small balcony but no view whatsoever and it was very noisy. There is no air conditioning so you have to sleep with your windows open and this meant a lot of noise during the night as we were two floors above the front door. The lights from the hallway where the elevators are located shined all night long and did so right into our bedroom.

Review 36:There was a very nice indoor pool with water features like a huge slideand swim-through grottos. This was the nicest feature of the hotel forus as we were traveling with two young children. They also had a nicespielplatz that our children enjoyed daily. They had several restaurantsas well but we only ate at one, the Seestern. It was an excellent mealwith very good service. The beach was a beautiful one with soft, whitesand and was virtually out the back door.

Review 37:I was surprised that time in the hotel pool was limited to 2 hours perday ! This seemed a little mean. The outlook of our room wasn't so nice- other apartment blocks + the car park. The complex is quite big +plasticky, aimed at (German) families more as a 'package', not reallyour kind of thing but the pool was a blessing in the rain.

Review 38:The proximity to the fabulous beach is wonderful. We rented good bikesvery cheaply through the hotel too.

Review 39:It was never told to us when we booked our trip that we could only usethe swimming pool for 2 hours a day and then after that would need topay. Also if we only stayed for 1 hour in the morning and wanted to comeback later to use the other hour - this was not allowed. It was nevertold to us when booking that we needed to pay for hotel service forsheets, towels - so the whole week we were there no maids came to ourhotel room - we emptied our own trash and one nice maid gave us a fewextra hand towels. We paid an outrageous amt of money through thebooking web site. Our inlaws used a different website and paid 1/3 whatwe paid for the same room. It was never explained to us that parking was3 euro a day - it was only said that there was parking. It seems thatthere were several services that were offered but should have beenoffered as extra not with the hotel price. Your price is outrageous - wehave traveled a lot and never have had anything like this. The workoutroom was small and not friendly to use. I used it once and was notimpressed. 11 Euro for breakfast is tooooooo much to charge!!!!! Kidswould never eat 11 Euro worth - I don't even think I could eat 11 Euroworth. I would recommend only if I was up front with friends aboutextras and price - or use other web site for booking

Review 40:We liked the location and we liked that the hotel had a small kitchen -this saved on money because you charge 11 Euro for breakfast.

The Fine Print
