Reviews for Hotel O Lagar

Review 1:Size of the room, cleanness of the whole hotel, breakfast was typical for the region (toast with jam), service was absolutely kind and even so we didn't speak Spanish and they bo English we managed to work things out :-)

Review 2:bus terror at 5 o clock in the morning

Review 3:in front of the hotel a bus had ther engine runninh vor at least have an hour and the bus drivers where talking so loud that nobody could sleep.

Review 4:Breakfast - only coffee , juice and bread or croissant with jam

Review 5:Good location, very worm and welcoming attitude from the owners - another and her son, very cleen and comfy, very good dinner, happy atmosphere in the bar at evening, recommended

Review 6:The bathroom had no shelves and no hangers!!

Review 7:Hugo, the owner and manager and his mother have been extremely helpful and friendly. When we said we weren't keen with the breakfast they served they made a special one for us without any extra cost.

Review 8:There was nothing that we could find fault with.

Review 9:The Staff were so helpful and friendly - Even though our Spanish was not good we managed to communicate. Great location in Cambados. One was able to put away the car and walk comfortably around the town. The room was very airy and comfortable - was at the back of the building overlooking a Church. Breakfast was relaxed and served with a smile. Car Parking was secure which was an added advantage. Nice Bar to return to and have a drink before Bedtime. Thank you Hugo, Momma and to the girl (we never got her name but she may have been Hugo's Sister) that served us lovely Albarino and Brandys in the Bar before bedtime.

Review 10:Better food choice would be appreciated.

Review 11:Great location, quiet, clean.

Review 12:Not in the center, it is located in a more quite area, but the city is very small so you are at 5 minutes walking from everywhere. Nice place

Review 13:Muy poca variedad en el desayuno.

Review 14:En general un buen sitio.

Review 15:The hotel was a bit hard to find because it is located in an urban area with narrow streets. The hotel staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Garage parking was free and a simple but good dinner was available.

Review 16:Helpful staff, assisted us with parking our car in the underground garage. Looked a bit surprised as we were probably the first Czechs to visit his hotel :) Cambados itself is a cute little town, we liked our stay there.

Review 17:The staff - Hugo and his mother Peppa were extremely friendly and helpful. They spoke some English, but went out of their way to understand and converse with us ie dictionary and google translate. The hotel was extremely clean. The tapas food for lunch and dinner was exceptional and better quality and value for money than the more up market tapas cafés closely. Would highly recommend a stay here. The hotel stay was exceptional value for money.

Review 18:breakfast is very basic but edible, no variation, just juice, toast with oil/tomato.coffee. (this is normal Spanish b"fast) don"t expect anything else. but all freshly made.

Review 19:super owners, who make you welcome, they also make an attempt to speak English, cannot fault them.

Review 20:Wi-fi at the hotel was a bit sporadic, but there was plenty of 3G available throughout the town

Review 21:This was a lovely little hotel situated in a lovely little town. We had a choice of rooms, one with a double bed or one with twin beds. The room we chose was very clean and comfortable. We had a view of the church across the courtyard. The owners were very good hosts. There was free parking provided in their under ground car park. The town of Cambados was charming, with a wide choice of bars and restaurants, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit there.

Review 22:We loved our stay here. The Staff was so helpful and friendly. Great service!! The room was lovely and the large bathroom very up to date. Parking was a dream (private parking under the hotel). the town was so pretty, many great places to eat near the shore. Our days were filled with walking all around the town and enjoying the wines and ambiance.

Review 23:The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was perfect - easy to get to from the motorway and yet right in the middle of the old cobbled city area, with the old church, scenic harbour-side promenade, shopping and restaurants virtually on the doorstep. The room was spotlessly clean and of a very high standard. The hotel bar was a nice mix of guests and genteel locals dropping in for refreshments and chat. The small underground car park ensured our rental car was secure. Both the hotel and bar prices were extremely good value for money.

Review 24:would have been nice to have a fan or air conditioning but this was not really a problem.

Review 25:Very friendly staff and owner, spotless rooms - bathroom was new and beautifully maintained. Cleaning was very good and the food inexpensive and cooked wonderfully by the owner's mother. Very friendly and helpful people. The basic continental breakfast was even served when we were late down . Great free Wi Fi too.
