Reviews for Guest House Villa la Isla
Review 1:NOTHING!!!
Review 2:The house is very nice with a beautifully seaview, especially from the comfortable roof terrace! The host Frank and his wife Milagros are the best and so friendly and helpful for booking the cheapest excursions and give good advice for everything. Milagros makes a tipical dominican breakfast. They both do everything professional and heartly. It is only a 15 minutes walk to the beach, where are almost no tourists but very friendly residents. We would book "la isla" everytime again!
Review 3:Having a car to get to the location would be important, especially if you get in after- hours. We heard that some people did stay there and took public transport, but it would be a hike with luggage. Shower water was cold. They plan to install a heater soon.
Review 4:Frank and his wife were fantastic hosts and overall our experience was great. Rooms were small but comfortable. The place is hard to find, but Frank came out to greet us by the main road. Included in the stay is a delicious breakfast.
Review 5:The place was difficult to find, but that's mostly due to the lack of infrastructure of the town and our inability to call Frank while on the road. The wifi was functional, but could have been better.
Review 6:Frank and Milagros were so pleasant and accommodating. Despite Frank's emailed directions, we had trouble finding the place in the dark. So, Frank hopped on his scooter to come find us and lead us along to the secure parking space at the guest house. We were welcomed with cocktails, which, along with the sounds of the sea, lulled us to sleep quickly. In the morning, we enjoyed a lovely sea view and delicious French-style egg tortilla with toast and coffee. Although it was a quick one-night stay, we felt at home in the simple room. Frank also led us to the highway on his scooter. Thank you for going above and beyond!
Review 7:Very nice homey feel - you feel like a guest, not like a customer. Thank you for the opportunity to use the kitchen - it is for us and the baby was very important. Object can be a base for visit other places
Review 8:Quite difficult to find and in a very dominican neiborghood bur the owner Frank is always ready to help you and he offers you more advice and support than you expect from a owner. The place is lovely and extremly quite....seaside and with special wiews.outside commercial roads and tourist routes if you like adventures and you want to find a really dominican experience for a couple of days is the place you are looking for....thank's again Franck and family!!
Review 9:The description is not accurate. The house is on a cliff with a view of the sea, but the sea is not accessible from this location. While the description said it was a 2 minute walk to restaurants and waterspouts facilities, there was nothing close by. If you are driving you can only get to the house via a rocky path. There is no road. Only 3 rooms have private bath, unlike the description that says all rooms have a private bath. Of the 4 rooms, 3 have 1 bed. The 4th room is very small and has bunk beds.
Review 10:Very quiet house. The family living there is very nice and helpful. We had a flat tire and they helped us to get it fixed. The sun terrace is terrific and has a great ocean view. It is a remote and very quiet location. The owner and family are very warm and hospitable. We were able to use the kitchen and to prepare our own meals. They did their best to make us feel welcome.
Review 11:Quiet location with easy acces to the city, sea view and nice people.
Review 12:This is really not a welcoming home and you don't feel comfortable at all!
Review 13:If you are used to a king-size bed with a hard mattress you might need an extra drink before you go to bed, but that's ok for a night or two.
Review 14:Great hospitality, you feel like a friend of the family. Excellent and huge breakfast on private terrace with a great view on the ocean and the inlet, also great place for a romantic sundowner Very clean and safe place at an unique location with unbeatable value for money. Frank and the family are lovely hosts and can give you good advice e.g. food, restaurants, places to go etc. just ask...
Review 15:The only thing I was'nt like it sleep without ac,pool and tv
Review 16:I like the place it was a good place to stay, close to the whater a quiet place it's beautiful place
Review 17:I didn't really like that we were fenced in the B&B with dogsand barbed wire. Even though I understand and value that it is forprotection, it made me feel a little nervous.
Review 18:I liked that the location was close to the ocean and the staff was veryhelpful and nice.
Review 19:Frank is very friendly and helpful, but not overbearing
