Reviews for Hotel Brenner
Review 1:The internet was slow from time to time.
Review 2:I just liked almost everything about this hotel: every member of the staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were nicely furnished, modern bathrooms, great breakfast, quiet location.
Review 3:For the price we paid I could not expect more.
Review 4:A very nice good value hotel. It's situated midway between the Train Station and the centre of town. We were in Koblenz two nights for the Christmas markets and this hotel suited us perfectly. It was clean. Nicely furnished. Great shower too. The staff were very friendly and speak excellent English. For a 3 star hotel it is good value for money and I cannot fault anything about it and would stay here again. Danke :)
Review 5:We knew that the breakfast costs 9 EUR each, but the girl at the reception told us that it costs 4,5 EUR each. When we received our invoice the next morning, the breakfast cost 9 EUR!
Review 6:Good location, clean hotel.
Review 7:I didn't but probably should have, mentioned this while we were there. I got warning messages from my browser saying my internet traffic wasn't private and someone potentially was hijacking my traffic and gleaning information such as passwords from it. Or it could be the internet access, i.e. the hotel proxy server, was misconfigured. I assumed the latter and forfeited the security option in my browser in order to get matters to work, but it isn't reassuring to have to bypass security measures on my pc like that. But being so grundlich in everything else, this 'll probably also get fixed.
Review 8:On arrival, we received a warm welcome and all useful information about restaurants and suchlike. I received further help in successfully finding the right pharmacy and printing prescriptions sent by email to me, in order to obtain some special eyedrops I rather foolishly had forgotten back home. The beds were very comfortable (we like a hard mattress), the heating was easily adjustable and more than adequate and there was no airco blower or street noise so we slept really well. We appreciated having bedside lights bright enough to allow us to read in bed. There was instant hot water in the shower and no fiddling with the taps to keep the temperature right - in contrast to many other hotels we stayed in. The place looks like it has been recently renovated, perhaps its just well-maintained, anyway it has a very fresh look about it. The room was a bit spartan and the funiture seems very DIY built, but that did not detract from the room being comfortable and everything being usable and functional. Breakfast was very enjoyable and there constantly was someone catering for all the guests needs. Highly recommended for your average tourist, like me.
Review 9:9 Euro per person for breakfast was expensive when most German hotels offer breakfast with the room!
Review 10:Attractive light rooms and beautiful sunny breakfast room.
Review 11:Housekeeping probably could have done a better sweep of the room; no huge problems but there were some whiskers on the ledge over the bathroom sink when we came in. Speaking of the bathroom, it has kind of an odd design- it's in two rooms with the toilet in one and the sink and shower in the other so you have to switch sides to wash your hands. Just a quirk of the building.
Review 12:Hotel had a lovely, quiet location, easy walk to train station and restaurants, nice view from our window. The room's decor was a nice change from some of the corporate hotels we'd stayed at, comfortable and a bit old-fashioned (not in a bad way). Wi-fi worked well. Excellent breakfast! Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 13:The free WiFi works, but is cumbersome to use. Each guest receives a slip of paper with a username and a password that are valid for a 24-hour period. You must keep that little piece of paper and retype the username and the password in a browser window whenever you need to reconnect to the Internet.
Review 14:Very clean, good location, helpful staff.
Review 15:WiFi passes issued for 24 hour periods, missed staff for 2nd day's pass as was away all day. No restuarant and desk closed at night.
Review 16:Comfortable room, nice garden for relaxing, halfway between main train/bus station and old town and boat stops. Good breakfast. Staff cheerful and welcoming. WiFi worked.
Review 17:Location was just excellent, midway between the station and the Old Town. Room faced into garden and was completely quiet. Staff were both helpful and cheerful.
Review 18:Parking was extra cost and in nearby area. On one way street...
Review 19:Good size room nicely furnished including a chandelier, telephone (many hotels we used had none and we carry no cell phone)Friendly helpful staff, spoke good English. Walking distance to Rhine cruise, shops, restaurants.
Review 20:This hotel was in a great location for me as it was a short walk from the train station and it wasn't far from the shopping and restaurant precinct. The hotel is small but I really liked that as it made it more personal. The room was very nice and roomy and looked over a lovely garden. Good and free wifi in the room. The breakfast was very good. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Review 21:The hotel was 4-5 blocks from the train station. Our room was quiet, overlooking a garden and breakfast was excellent. The staff were pleasant, helpful and spoke English well.
Review 22:From the moment we arrived until the minute we left, staff were pleasant, helpful, and attentive to our every need. Travelers should understand that this is a "typical" European hotel -- small elevator, traditional furnishings, but the service was impeccable in every way. good location, and convenient, reasonably pricing parking for our rental car.
Review 23:Not all that bad but would have been nice to get the wifi code at checkin.
Review 24:Thankful that I was given a heads up with the parking meter outside. Very nice staff!
Review 25:Nothing!
Review 26:The rooms are large and very comfortable. The hotel is located on a quiet street within walking distance of the main attractions. The staff was very friendly, we would return to this hotel any time!
Review 27:Bed on second stay wasn't as comfortable as the first bed. Parking off road is a little walk away but not secure.
Review 28:Wonderful staff, great location, fantastic breakfast. Happy to oblige customers. Parking outside hotel on the street until 8 a.m.; although not secure.
Review 29:Nothing.
Review 30:The hotel is within 10 min walk from Koblenz main station. Staff were extremely nice, helpful and attentive to the customers. Breakfast was fairly priced and of good quality. The room was very clean and relatively quiet.
Review 31:One-time password WIFI lasted only 24 hours. It cut off around midnight when I desperately needed to find a solution for my sick son. Car parking is 5 min walk, a bit far.
Review 32:Dinning hall and rooms are neatly colored. It was really nice to see staffs with nice smiles in the morning.
Review 33:Quite spacious bathroom but with small shower space... adding a little shelf in the shower room will be nice though Bed too soft for me :( Breakfast costs 9 euro...didn't have it, maybe it's really good but still too expensive...
Review 34:Beautiful hotel in a beautiful city, it is not a new hotel but maintained very well. 10-15 min to train station with luggage and 25min to city centre, not bad. Room not as new as lobby but triple room extremely huge, and had heribo candy as welcome gift, sweet!
Review 35:Small elevator, small shower stall, poor internet access - too slow and unreliable to make Skype telephone call, let alone video.
Review 36:Pleasant staff, inexpensive breakfasts
Review 37:The only bad thing was having to leave after one night: hope to return one day!
Review 38:This was a friendly but professionally run hotel, with large and stylish room in quiet location and an excellent breakfast.
Review 39:We were a group of friends visiting the Christmas markets. The welcome we had from all the staff at Hotel Brenner was outstanding. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast had everything for everyone. We hope to come back soon.
Review 40:The off road parking was a long way from the hotel with heavy bags to carry. There was a drop off point outside the hotel but it was occupied by non residents parked cars on arrival and departure.
Review 41:The hotel was clean and tidy with friendly staff, central location good for our stop over (driving Czech Republic to Wales). Breakfast was good value and the off road parking was secure enough.
Review 42:The bed surround looked a little tired and it was not easy to open the sliding wardrobe doors.
Review 43:The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast provided a good choice of food and drink and was taken in a pleasant breakfast room.
Review 44:The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is small and situated in the center of the town but the street is not nozy. The breakfast is great.
Review 45:The bathroom was bijou and did not have much steam extraction so was very much like a sauna post showering. In general, the room was quite hot.
Review 46:We stopped overnight to catch the 9am boat to rudesheim. The location of the hotel is very good. Allow 20mins along the river bank to the KD line. The breakfast is amazing. Make sure to book it!
Review 47:The room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was a very good value and better than some bed and breakfasts we've stayed at. The staff was courteous, friendly, and hardworking and the location was conveniently close to the main train station.
Review 48:Extremely helpful staff along with well appointed rooms. They even have an excellent selection of wines at reasonable prices. A delightful 30 minute stroll along the Rhine to the confluence of the Mosel River and the old town dining section.
Review 49:Not the hotel's fault, but if you're driving, the one-way system in this part of Koblenz doesn't make it easy to reach it.
Review 50:Friendly and efficient staff, clean and spacious room, very adequate breakfast. It's on a quiet side-street and there was free overnight parking when we stayed, on our way through Germany from UK
Review 51:I was allowed 4 bed's in the suite, plenty of room. We were only there one night to catch a train. We checked out in the evening and left early morning.
Review 52:It probably takes between 10 and 15 minutes to walk to the centre of town.
Review 53:The reception staff were friendly and efficient. Stored our bikes in their secure garage.
Review 54:The front desk staff offered above and beyond service when we arrived late with a car tire losing air pressure. They helped make service calls that evening, and assisted again in the morning. The hotel room were sizable and we over looked the garden. The breakfast was also very large and enjoyable.
Review 55:Nothing
Review 56:The room was spacious and had good ventilation through numerous windows. The separate toilet and bathroom were a nice feature. Breakfast was very good. The location was very central in Koblenz with a short walk to the river, the old town and the train station.
Review 57:A charming hotel. We were greeted very warmly by the owner and given a very large room overlooking the lovely garden. Although the room was not luxuriously furnished, it was pleasant and very big with two, very comfortable double beds and a sitting area with 2 big armchairs. The larger breakfast room where we ate was beautiful, with double aspect windows to the garden and lots of sunlight flooding the room. The breakfast selection was very nice with delicious homemade cakes on offer and a good cup of coffee. The service at breakfast was great and exceptionally pleasant. The overall feel of this hotel was very welcoming and all areas of the hotel we very clean.
Review 58:A dog was allowed into the breakfast room.
