Hotel Engel sells fast on our site. Furnished in a modern Alpine style, Hotel Engel is a 2-minute drive away from the centre of Feldkirch and 5 minutes from the A14 highway. It offers free private parking, free WiFi and elegant rooms.
Each of the bright room comes with a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator, a seating area, and a bathroom with shower and toilet.

Review 1：No staff. It's a self-checkin hotel with only a kiosk. Thankfully there were no issues with our rooms, but if there had been, I assume we would've had to go to the main hotel a couple miles away.

Review 3：check out wasn't very clear as to what to do due to it being an unmanned electronic system. Though we did find the door card return point, it wasn't well sign posted.

Review 5：Automated check-in not that intuitive but the telephone contact was quick to answer and resolved problem. Main negative was lack of anywhere to eat or drink within easy walking distance - or if there as we couldn't find it and there was no one there to ask.
Review 6：Rooms clean and well appointed although quite hot. Bathroom nice and modern and shower a very good size. Price was reasonable compared to other options.
Review 7：There is absolutely no reception, day and night. It is OK as the automate is easy to use, but no idea what would happen in case something went wrong.

Review 9：What a nice hotel, the check in was a little strange being self service but we managed it easily. Restaurant was closed for maintenance but staff recommended a very nice place nearby. Comfortable and clean and well managed. Thanks
Review 10：Very clean, spacious room. Enormous shower. Wifi worked well. I don't think it says this on the hotel site, but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel that will take you into town or to the train station, which was very convenient. We had to check out extremely early, so we did not try the breakfast.
Review 11：A restaurant is advertised, but it wasn't open when I got there - had to get a pizza delivered. As the hotel does not have a reception, I needed a password to access my keycard from the main entrance. This was not provided to me so I had to use my English phone to call the helpdesk.

Review 21：The staff were extremely unhelpful. The WiFi didn't work, I called them and was told that it works for everyone else, so it must be my problem. 2 guests, 5 devices - none of them connecting. I booked 2 nights, but the staff thought we were booked in for 1 night only. Our keycard stopped working at midnight of the second night - couln't get back in to the room at 2am and there was no staff on the premises to help. The staff charged the credit card I provided to make the booking the evening before our departure for both nights, an hour after I sent them an e-mail, asking to pay with a different card the next day and they confirmed. We were even told off for not checking ou twhen we were supposed to. Showing them the booking confirmation, proving I booked for 2 nights, didn't change anything.

Review 27：This facility is auto check in and so we didn't encounter any staff. The auto check in wasn't recognizing our reservation and so we had to go 300 yards down the road to the guest house to get checked in by a lovely staff person. This was our first time using a facility like this and so we were a bit confused but got it figured out.

Review 29：The 24hour check in machine is a very good alternative to allow guests to check in,but unfortunately we could not check out at this machine. The date of our stay made access to all services a bit difficult and therefore we had to leave early and could not check out at the partner Lion hotel... Still worried about our payment etc.
Review 30：The hotel offers a stylish and comfortable room. The separate kitchen at the stairway is an absolute excellent bonus especially because we were staying here on the 24th and 25th of December when all shops and restaurants were closed.
Review 31：There was some confusion about checking in because you need a password to get a key. There is no staff on the property there. Fortunately the staff is a short distance away.

Review 36：It is very basic hotel, where you need to check in with a machine which looks like ATM (bankomat) You need to remember your 6 digit access code to receive electronic keys. No air-conditioning in the room, mattress to soft, very noisy room because hotel is on very busy road its even worse on hot days because when you open the windows (no a/c) noise is unbearable. People from car parking and street can see you in the room so you need to draw all curtains and use lighting during day if you want privacy. Overpriced for what it offers.
